Maintenance: Mythgard servers will go offline at 10 AM CDT (3 PM UTC) on Tuesday

The Mythgard servers will go offline at 10 AM CDT (3 PM UTC) on Tuesday, April 18th, for approximately 2 hours. This is a server update, and we'll start a phased rollout on Wednesday to all Web & Steam Users, along with some Android and iOS users. The phased rollout will continue, and all users should have the update by Tuesday next week. Update notes will be posted after the update is live.

CARD CYCLING

We've been working hard over the past few months to improve the user experience in Mythgard, especially for new players. As a complex game with a steep learning curve, we understand how overwhelming it can be for players on multiple platforms. One issue that arose during feedback and user testing was the method used to gain mana through card burning.

Our current card-burning method required players to drag cards to the bottom of the screen, causing the card to be reshuffled back into the deck while providing mana and gems. However, this method was problematic on certain platforms, particularly mobile, due to universal UI elements that disrupted the player experience. Additionally, the term "burning" confused new players who believed they were destroying their cards.

To address these issues and provide a better user experience, we've implemented a new method called Card Cycling. This change doesn't affect gameplay; you still gain mana and gems, and the card is shuffled back into your deck. However, we've updated the terminology and interaction so that players now drag the card they want to "cycle" to their deck to gain mana and gems. This triggers a new animation and VFX of the card being shuffled back into the deck.

To ensure that new players understand this method, we'll update the player tutorials and cards to reflect the terminology and functionality changes. We hope this update will improve the Mythgard experience for all our players.













Enhancements

  • Battle Pass Missions and Daily Missions now increment progress for multiplayer goals in games where a player is matched with a bot due to sparse matchmaking pools

  • A verified email is no longer required to make store purchases


Bug Fixes

  • The player’s password is no longer stored and visible on the login screen after logging out
  • Fixed a bug where content download would not resume if the network connection was interrupted
  • Fixed a rare bug where practice mode would sometimes show a misplaced button to take the user to matchmaking
  • Now correctly rendering the visual states for some disabled menu items
  • Fixed an issue with the Defy Death card not correctly granting immunity under certain conditions
  • Fixed a bug where an out of context dialog would appear when skipping the tutorial mission
  • Fixed a bug where opening multiple pack types would not update the position of the store button correctly
  • Fixed a bug that prevented users from returning to the main menu upon completing certain story missions
  • Fixed a bug that prevented adding friends on new accounts

Mythgard servers will go offline at 10 AM CDT (3 PM UTC) on Monday, March 13th, for approximately 2 hours. This is a server update, and we'll start a phased rolling out to Android users first on Tuesday and Wednesday (March 24 & 25th). We'll then push the update to Steam and Web on March 21st. iOS users will start getting the phased rollout on March 21st - 23rd. Update notes will be posted Tuesday.

This tournament is beginner friendly for Bronze and Silver players.

The tournament starts on February 19 at 1 PM CST (7 PM UTC). You'll need to register and submit the deck at least 30 minutes before the event begins. This tournament is beginner friendly!

  • Fixed a display bug when viewing the current ranked info in some instances

  • Improved clarity on close buttons in some popups that were hard to see. Some were slightly transparent and blended with the background; this is no longer the case.
