Feedback On New Magic Systems

Hey everyone in the Mythic Zombies community! We're reaching out to you for advice and feedback as we embark on the journey of rebuilding Mythic Zombies. Your input is crucial to us.

In our redesign, we've decided to break away from the typical melee system. Instead, we're introducing a magic-style system featuring skill points that unlock a variety of powerful spells. The core mechanics are in place, and now we're eager to expand the system with your insights.

For instance, at the initial level, your character will deal a modest amount of damage, requiring a 3-hit kill on basic zombies. As you progress through the levels, the damage output will increase, adding a sense of achievement and progression to the game.

We're currently at the max level, where bosses take 3-4 hits to defeat (Also bare in mind, in the finished version, you will also be righting zombies here). Keep in mind that reaching this point will take time, and the effects are still a work in progress, open to potential changes. Your feedback on this player-focused approach is immensely valuable to us – let us know your thoughts!


Rework Progress And Update

Hello everyone, and thank you for taking the time to read about the exciting updates coming to our game!

Since the initial release, I've been on a journey of learning and growth with Unreal Engine, transitioning to Unreal Engine 5. This evolution has given me a fresh perspective, leading to the decision to remake the game entirely. While the core gameplay remains, expect a comprehensive overhaul with improved visuals and enhanced mechanics.

Check out the quick video teaser featuring intense boss fights, new AI challenges, and the introduction of abilities like slow-mo and speed boosts that can be combined for dynamic gameplay.

In the upcoming version, players will earn experience points (XP) by taking down zombies and other AI foes. Use your XP to unlock new abilities and features, adding depth to your gaming experience.

Now, I need your input! We're considering introducing a base-building mechanic, and I'd love to hear your thoughts. Two potential approaches are on the table: a dedicated map where you can customize your environment with various meshes, or the inclusion of deployable items within existing maps for strategic advantage.

This year holds promising developments for the game, and I'm excited to share this journey with you. Your feedback is crucial, so let me know what you think about the proposed base-building mechanics.

Hello everyone,

We're back and committed to breathing new life into Mythic Zombies after a prolonged absence.

Apologies for the silence and lack of updates. However, we're here to assure you: that we're in it for the long haul. Buckle up because we're gearing up to revamp the game for the coming years.

Exciting times lie ahead! Brace yourselves for a complete game reimagining featuring fresh classes, engaging quests, revamped enemies, and more. We're diving into this with full dedication.

While it's taken some time to get here, we're ready to embark on this journey with you. Expect the first wave of updates in the upcoming months. We anticipate a few bumps along the road, so your reports and feedback will be invaluable.

Update progress

Update progress is at full speed, Here is where I want to outline some progress we have made so far, We Also expect this HUGE update to come out in the next few months, So all the things below are NOT yet live.

Fixed for Zombie spawning (Sometimes they would get stuck or).
Fixed Zombies spawning time(There was a chance the zombie timer would get stuck at 1 meaning the zombies would stop spawning).
Fixed reloading when sprinting.
Disabled VR Plugin for now (i plan to bring VR later down the line now I have a VR).
Fixed a small chance the HUD would get stuck when loading into a game.
Fixed “RevivingPlayer” text stuck on screen
Fixed an issue with players getting stuck on spectate screen Fixed a small chance that players would spawn in seeing other people progress

Added 8 different player-able characters all with strengths and weaknesses (You pick how you play, Want to have more health but less movement speed).

Added in a new XP and Quest system (Quest may or may not be fully in when the update is live, If it is now we have all the code there ready to add more later).

Our map dev is working on 3 new maps for the game.

Updated some Hud elements to make it feel cleaner.

Made it so players can act as soul boxes (with limits).

Added in new guns

Added Melee weapons into the game.

DLSS Will be set with each map you play. This will be automictic and be set as balanced, This will only affect people will GPUs that support it and that is checked automictically (We do plan to have this as a graphic menu option)

Added the settings menu when you pause the game Before you had to leave the game fully, Now you don't.

Good morning everyone and thank you all for waiting with us for some new news.

We are still working on the game and have not walked away.

We want to explain why it has been so long since the last update is we are working on a whole new build of the game, we are building this game again from the ground up with some HUGE improvements and we will go over them very soon. Please give us a few months to finish off this new build, we are bringing so many changes and bug fixes and also adding in things you all have asked for.
