Black Beginning Update: Coming Soon
Hello Everybody,
Just a note to say that a new update is in the final stages of testing and will be made available soon (Next few days).
This update will feature a new environment 'Black Beginning'. The new environment enables you to create stars, planets and solar systems in a tranquil physics based sandbox experience.
You can also hover above the earth, manifest a comet storm and create a forest of 'galaxy trees'. Or you can just send everything into oblivion and meditate inside a singularity.
There is also new audio, fixes, performance improvements and requested tweaks. A free movement locomotion system has been implemented for Rift users using an Xbox Controller.
Another new environment that features a new climate with plenty of new animals is in development for anyone wanting more of that.
Once the update is live I will post an announcement as usual.
Thanks for supporting the project.

NEW UPDATE RELEASED: New environment 'Blue Deep'
Hello Everybody,
The new 'Blue Deep' underwater environment is now available.
I wanted to spend some more time on this but I've been working long hours on it and am pretty worn out. Will be taking a week or so off to spend with my family.
As I mentioned previously this has been in development for some time intended as a separate project. I will continue to add and polish this and all the other environments.
You can explore the environment and discover a host of ocean life including dolphins, turtles, sword fish, sharks, manta ray, Orca, Jelly fish, sea horses, a variety of smaller schools. Plus get up close to the largest animal ever, the blue whale.
Warning: There are over 1000 fish in the environment and it can get resource demanding.
The creator orbs allow you to control huge schools of fish and create a lively sea bed with kelp forests and seaweed.
There is also a couple of wrecks to discover.
As for the other environments some new animals have been added including some Gorillas, Leopards, Snow Leopards and Linx.
Changes in this update include:
Added new environment ' Blue Deep'
Added gorilla to 'white waterfall'
Added leopards to 'white waterfall'
Added snow leopards to 'white winter'
Added Linx to 'white winter'
Also contains various other minor tweaks and improvements
As always if you have any issues, comments or suggestions please let me know and I will be sure to listen and take a look.
Thanks for supporting the project.

Ocean Reef Update: Coming Soon
Hello Everybody,
I'm pleased to announce that an Ocean Update will be coming to Nature Treks VR soon.
Originally planned as a separate release I have decided to included it as a free update for Nature Treks VR to say thanks to everyone that has supported and stuck with the project.
Its come along way and without people taking the plunge early on, the updates would not have been possible.
Nature Treks VR was never envisaged as a way to generate personal wealth so as long as I'm getting by I will continue to maximise content.
There is still some work left to be done. Expect a late July or early August release. I will keep the forum updated with any news or developments.
Thanks
-John
NEW UPDATE RELEASED: Locomotion - The Final Solution?
Hello Everybody,
Quite a big update with some new locomotion systems implemented.
Nature Treks VR now has 3 movement systems available for Vive users and 2 for Rift users (will work on that 3rd). It also now features snap rotation. All the systems can be used in conjunction with each other.
They are:
Blink Teleport (Vive and Rift)
Fps style (Vive and Rift)
Arm-Swinger (Vive)
Please refer to the image attached to these update notes for the controls. I've also made a couple of videos explaining the controls. WARNING the audio in the Vive video pops allot.
As always if you have any issues, comments or suggestions with these new systems please let me know and I will be sure to listen and take a look.
I hate to beg for reviews but getting over the 50 review threshold will make a huge difference.
Thanks for supporting the project.

NEW UPDATE RELEASED: Arm-Swinger locomotion for Vive users.
Hello Everybody,
There has been lots of requests for an alternative locomotion system recently so I've been working around the clock to get something out asap.
Currently this effects Vive users only, I ran into some complex technical issues with the Rift camera rig. Working hard to overcome them.
I'm aware that some people prefer a different free locomotion system but please accept this update until I can find time to look at all the options.
Press the application menu button on the right controller to toggle Then hold the grip buttons and move your arms
Remember to toggle it off when interacting with the creator orbs, otherwise the grab will trigger some movement at the same time. Not essential but can feel strange otherwise.
Changes in this update include:
Added in arm swinger locomotion option for Vive users
Updated help panel for Vive
As always if you have any issues, comments or suggestions please let me know and I will be sure to listen and take a look.
Thanks for supporting the project.

NEW UPDATE RELEASED: Persistent weather effects, New Rhino and a Big surprise
Hello Everybody,
Finally managed to sort out the toggling for the weather effects, time of day and lotus enclosure to be persistent - so no need to hold them anymore. Sorry for the delay on this, there was an odd technical issue that took much longer than expected to overcome.
The animal models and animations continue to be updated and improved. This time its Rhino's that have had an upgrade.
There is also a surprise in 'Red Savanna' that hints at the 'special' moment I've been thinking about adding into all the locations. You will need to explore and discover some fossil remains to trigger the 'event'.
Changes in this update include:
Persistent toggle for time of day changes
Persistent toggle for weather effects
Persistent toggle for 'lotus enclosure'
New Rhino model and animations added
New 'Special' event added in Red Savanna
As always if you have any issues, comments or suggestions please let me know and I will be sure to listen and take a look.
