Linux Problems
Soiree Games has been informed of a number of Linux users being unable to install the game. This issue is being look at. By the time you read this piece of news it should be running smoothly on most modern Linux distros. If not, let us know and we'll take a deeper look.

Version 1.11 released!
This is both a functional and cosmetic update designed to make Neckbeards a more enjoyable one player experience.

  • George, Philip, and Theresa get an 8% boost in firepower when playing a single player game
  • The Supreme Gentleman gets a 10% boost in firepower when playing solo
  • Generators now spawn enemies at a slower rate
  • Fixed a bug of player two not being able to damage some enemies
  • The two player debriefing screen now has visual representations for both players


Tthe game also has some brand new artwork based on one of the most cherished NPCs, Eggman. ːsteamhappyː

Neckbeards now out on Linux!
The latest version (ver 1.1) of Neckbeards: Basement Arena is now available on Linux. And so our more nerdy brethren can get their hands, too, on this "angsty gem" as described by some weirdo on YouTube comments.

Naturally, all future updates for Windows Neckbeards will apply on the Linux side of things, too. ːsteamhappyː

Version 1.1 released!
This is a relatively major update for Neckbeards: Basement Arena.

Changes to the previous version (1.01) include:


  • Fixed a few potentially game-breaking bugs
  • Fixed the issue of players getting stuck on obstacles
  • Made The Supreme Gentleman slightly more powerful
  • Made several enemies unable to walk through obstacles
  • Added an Eggman-bonus to the Troll King -basement (level 10) to make it a more balanced challenge


In addition, the game now has a hipper, more chic title screen. Enjoy!
