Mutropolis has launched

MUTROPOLIS is a lovely sci-fi adventure set on the abandoned Planet Earth. Play as Henry Dijon (hero, nerd, detective) in search of a legendary lost city. Uncover weird ancient artifacts. And PLEASE don’t get obliterated by an ageless evil. You’ve been warned.

After five years of hard work by Bea and Pablo (Pirita Studio, Madrid) the new mystery point & click adventure Mutropolis finally has launched. Here are some reactions by the press the product has received:

Commentary Ahoy!

Developer commentary

We have updated Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet with a developer's commentary. Alasdair Beckett-King and real Nelly (aka Rachel) sat down and recorded funny and interesting background information. The audio tracks unlock as you play and you can listen to them whenever you want. This may be a good reason to play the game again if you have finished it already or another reason to buy it if you haven't bought it yet.

Gamepad support

Now the version for PC, Mac and Linux supports gamepad/controller input. For PC it should work with standard XBOX and compatible controllers. We know that there are many controllers out there, so we can't promise all of them will work. We did our best to support most models and picked a very popular library to add controller support.

For macOS it depends what kind of controller you have and how it is supported by system extensions. XBOX compatible controllers work for us.

For Linux we support the standard profile for controllers. Our tests with XBOX compatible controllers have been successful.

Nelly Cootalot: Spoonbeaks Ahoy! HD is coming to Steam

Hundreds of years ago in 2007, the first Nelly Cootalot adventure 'Spoonbeaks Ahoy!' was released. Developed in Adventure Game Studio, it had a resolution of 640 x 480 (which honestly seemed hi-res at the time). We've decided to give the game a much needed makeover and we're remastering it in 1920 x 1080 HD and bringing it to Steam.

Help Nelly rescue endangered wildfowl and uncover wanton punning in the Barony of Meeth. Acquire morally dubious items on behalf of minor aristocrats; intercept the private correspondences of a daredevil pilot; come to the aid of downtrodden supernatural beings; be confused by obscure colloquialisms; borrow facial hair from long-dead pirates and wantonly misuse the word 'borrow'.

We are thrilled that we have some great preview coverage to share from Rock Paper Shotgun's John Walker.
The game is out on the 22nd [...] with Day Of The Tentacle out the same day, Samorost 3 out two days later, and Wadjet Eye having just released the excellent Shardlight, [...]. It’s terrific that The Fowl Fleet looks as though it could be a highlight amongst them. Oh, and Tom Baker’s in it!

Serena Nelson wrote a great preview on The Cliquist
I’m happy to report that Nelly Cootalot is shaping up to be a great game and worth playing for those who enjoy a good comedy adventure with plenty of swashes to buckle.

In short, Nelly Cootalot promises to be a great nautical adventure with hilarious situations and weird characters. Fans of a certain classic series from the ’90s should feel right at home here. I had once described this as if Monkey Island had a facelift…and if Guybrush had a sex change. And, honestly, I feel like this is a fair assessment.
