We've also updated the rock mess with snow and better detail when viewed close up (ie: when you are climbing).
Update 0.107
Yesterday we had our initial launch of Neon Exile into Early Access on Steam and received a lot of great feedback from players via Discord and in-game voice chat. It was really fun meeting players "in-person" in VR and showing them around the game.

Today we released v0.107 which addresses some of the main concerns with a few quick fixes. This doesn't cover everything and not every change is final, but mostly things we could add quickly to get the update out .

Less damage in the toxic fog
Inventory remains when you die
Added a healing zone to each spawn point
Added a VERMIN status board to show number of colony structures

Some scrap piles have been moved up onto hills and rocks so not all are on the ground

This initial release is a very early version of the game meant to prove out the following features:

Building mechanics
Combat mechanics
Server stability
We will be releasing updates regularly, with major updates monthly and smaller updates between those major ones. Our first update that addresses initial player feedback will be released today (v0.107).

Launch Competition
The Neon City Defense Council has launched the Vanguard training simulation. Join today for an opportunity to compete to bypass the Steam application cost. Between July 24th and July 31st pilots will be able to participate in the training course via the Steam demo.
The top 20 pilots who complete the exam section of the course with the fastest time will receive free access (Steam key) to the full Neon Exile experience launching in August.
The exam is a physical test of speed, agility and quick thinking as you will have to climb, leap and fight. Pilots will be able to retake the exam as often as they like within the competition period. Full competition details are available on the here: http://www.neonexile.com/launchcompetition.html
