The Future of Never Rain
Greetings,
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for playing and giving feedback on Never Rain. As a solo developer, Never Rain was my first project. It has been an invaluable educational experience, which has better prepared myself to improve on all aspects of the game. Following, I will be breaking down my plans for the roadmap ahead. Lastly, I wish to make it clear that Never Rain was not released as an early access game, due to it being a viable product. However, that does not mean that future content and improvements will not occur. Launch is just the beginning.
My hope is that 3 major updates, will be released in the near future.
For now we will look into detail at what you can expect with the major update 1.
Update 1:
1: Revamp lighting (increased Visibility)
2: Add short sprint (To get you out of tough situations)
3: Fix Rare Nun Kill animation bug
4: Increase frequency of lightning
5: Improve performance
6: Fix Nun pointing animation during intro
7: Improved forest landscape
8: Implement multiple supernatural events
Update 2 (More to be added):
1: Controller Support
2: Add Puzzles to collect each crow
3: Revamp Animations
4: Inventory System
5: Add true first-person
Final Update 3 (More to be added):
1: Map revamp
2: New Points of Interest
3: Day time mode
4: Add opening cutscene and new ending cutscene
5: Add more crows and puzzles, summing up to 10
6: Steam Achievements
But until then, let's get things rolling with a halloween event which will be released within a few days time.
