- I found and fixed two bugs that were causing the game to crash. - Some players had a bug that left them with negative ATK, making it impossible to damage monsters. It was fixed.
I'm on the lookout for any other issues, if you find anything wrong, please let me know.
Thank you guys!
UPDATE - PATCH 2.1
Hi guys,
I want to thank EVERYONE who is participating in NEVERMORE: THE CHAMBER DOOR early access. I really love this project and your help is very important to me.
Patch 2.1 is out now and here are some news:
NEW PLAYER PATH
Now we have 3 scenarios:
Village Fields - A small map with some enemies, an introduction to combat, with one last challenge to enter the forest.
Forgotten Forest- New enemies and a new boss.
Deep Caverns - New enemies and mechanics added.
The way to move between scenarios has also changed. Now you must move forward from the starting village and no longer enter the void from the portal.
The initial village has also changed. I've been looking for improvements in art and environment. For now the village still has 2 NPCs, but new NPCs will be added to make the village more alive.
I worked on the collision system to be able to create more organic scenarios, before they all had a "square" look, now with a pixel by pixel collision system I can create scenarios with different shapes. This system is still being worked on and will get even better.
DIFFICULTY BALANCING
NEVERMORE is an independent project and I am the solo developer. I don't have a playtest team, so your feedback is very important to me. I watch all the gameplay videos that are posted on youtube and twitch. I still think that some "mirror cards" are unbalanced, making the game very easy when equipped and before that the game can seem a little too difficult. I am aware of this fact and looking for the perfect balance.
PERFORMANCE ISSUES
Some players who don't have a video card have reported problems with the FPS. I am aware and looking for better design optimization to make it more accessible.
CONTROLLER SUPPORT
The game supports XBOX and DualShock (with DS4Windows) controllers naturally. Some other gamepads also work without problems, I only had the report of two people who were not able to use gamepad from other companies. I'm working to implement the Steam Controller system. Which should solve any problem in this regard.
