"Out-of-Bounds" Helper


Leaving your chaperone or starting the game somewhere out of your play space could be rather difficult. Now in all such situations, this Red Helper will be shown to guide you to your play area.

Perfomance Boost


We added a very important option to the Main Menu which gives a significant performance boost.

There are three Supersampling Presets so you can switch between them to get the best quality/performance balance for your VR setup:

  • Normal — is the optimal setup, good for all systems.
  • High — for systems from the Minimal System requirements.
  • Ultra — for High-End PCs, crystal clear image. More than we used in old Nevrosa version.

You can select Minimum, Maximum and Custom graphics quality for the fast setup when standing in the Apartments scene. Usually, the best results can be achieved by tuning options by hand.

Also, we removed Mirror screen Resolution customization, cause it's almost useless, but was confusing for some users.



Three New Languages




Let's welcome three new languages added to Nevrosa: Portuguese, Polish and Italian, making the total number of 9! We do not plan to stop on this and will continue to add more localisations.

5 New Achivements


Added five new achievements with two of them being totally secret with a need to use some additional items to get them! Can you earn them all?

VR Collectible Cube



Hello friends!

While we are finishing with the biggest update for Nevrosa: Escape ever, some cool things happened!

Guys from Steam added our Cursed Cube to SteamVR Home environment! The cube unlocks after first two hours of play and can be scaled inside Steam Home as you like.

Stay tuned for the updates! So many new features are coming to Nevrosa!


What's coming next: Soundtrack Update


Soundtrack


Big Soundtrack Update, that brings unique themes to improve the gameplay and make it more cinematic as we always wanted.

As you may know from our games, we love music and always look at it as a significant part of the gaming experience. For our most important game, we chose the most impressive music — symphonic.

With a help of Saint Petersburg State Philharmonic Orchestra, we are bringing to you tunes of the Mist World and Conway's Manor New Rosa.

New Sound Manager


To say more, we reworked our sound manager, so the game now listens completely different. All sounds added depth they never had before and good balance for the best sound experience you ever had in VR.

We are really proud of all the sound work we made with Nevrosa.

So when to expect all these impressive features we've been announcing for a while?
Graphics & Soundtrack Update with lots of bugfixes is coming in 1-2 weeks from now. We are still tuning and adding minor improvements, the full list will be available in the Bugs section.

What's coming next: Graphics Update



Hello, Mist World travelers.

We have two interesting announcements about nearest Nevrosa: Escape future. Here is the first one.

We prepared a massive update which includes big graphics improvements. Let's talk about them a little.

As you could get from the comparison above, we have done some work with textures and lighting to better represent Nevrosa atmosphere.

Thanks to new shaders system we can put you deeper into immersion. Some locations like Mist World now look so different!
Massive textures are no longer look unnatural on Low settings, as well.

The best part is these new textures do not heat your GPU more than the old ones and the game is still well optimized.

  • New languages added — Chinese and Russian. More languages to come!
  • Pause Menu — now you can press the menu button to open Pause Menu anytime for help.
  • English texts spellcheck. Cleaned some errors, please contact us if you find more.
  • Minor bugfixes for lighting and some controls.

Hello!

We want to thank our community for support through the last months and we are glad that your expectations are justified.
Thank you all for your warm words. We shared our VR vision and showed the game quality we want from VR.
Thanks, new users — you are helping to develop Nevrosa World and our team a lot!

What's new:

  • Saves system. You are receiving a new stereoscope cartridge after every meaningful event. All of them are available from the Apartments as you move through the game.
  • Clock Scene fix. If you experiencing this or any other bugs, please, let us know on Forums.


What's after:
The next update will bring our awesome soundtrack. Will be also available as a DLC.

Hello.

"Some disgusting bugs got into our Chemistry Lab and we need a few more hours to eliminate them" — that's how we thought today's morning.

Tonight we decided to move the release to the next day.

Sorry for this unexpected delay, but that means you will get a better game!

Nevrosa: Escape will be available tomorrow at 12 p. m.

It was a long road for our small team and now we finally here.
Thank you all again for your support, for all those awesome reviews for Prelude part.

But our work is not finished — time race and budget cuts were against us, but now with your support, we will continue to work making Nevrosa even better.

Nevrosa: Escape will be updated several times during next weeks, adding new features, expanding gameplay and story.

Achievements, SteamVR Collectibles, free DLC content — all these things are coming after first release week.

Thank you all again, tomorrow we will show you an innovative and smart game with AAA graphics and great sounds.

Moved to December

Greetings everyone who was patiently waiting for the second part of Nevrosa game.

It took almost a year for our small 4-man team to create mystery and challenging world of Nevrosa: Escape.

In the upcoming second part, you will find yourself traveling to other worlds, solve old family mysteries and puzzles, as well as intense action fights against monsters for your life.

We want to bring you this breathtaking adventure in virtual reality, focus you on details that surround and the story you are creating so we removed all the things that can distract like teleport/artificial locomotion, glowing quest tasks and annoying UI flying in front of your face.

Now we are getting to the final destination so all our ideas and solutions will be tested by you, VR enthusiasts. That is a very important moment in the life of our small indie team and we need some time to make Nevrosa more polished and narrative journey. Thank for your support during this year.

Here are those innovative features, which make Nevrosa a unique gaming experience in VR:

  • Redirect Walking/Scene adopting — you can walk free in-game bounded only by your chaperone. The game will adopt the scene in special moments so you can continue exploring its mystery.
  • Player scale changes — artifact in your hands will make you the size of a lighter so you can discover new locations and tasks.
  • Death and limbs damage — it is so annoying for us that VR games totally ignore the player’s body! In Nevrosa you can hurt yourself so do not play with sharp things.
  • No help — we do not use flying text to tell you what to do, narrator voice or flashing elements shouting “place %item_name% here you stupid”. Players will need to figure out what is happening and what to do. You will find everything you need in 1,5x2 meters area.

We will be happy if you could support us buying other our VR games, they are quite good!

tl;dr: Nevrosa: Escape release moves to mid-December. You can play free Nevrosa: Prelude to get some taste of what is coming.
