State of the Game [2019-12-11]



Hey community,

Today we are here to let you guys know about the upcoming changes and the development. In the upcoming weeks, we are planning to release 2 new spinoffs: Magnificent 5 and New Frontier: Zombies, which will be available on the same Launcher as New Frontier and you will be able to use the same account as you use in New Frontier, so you can use your cosmetics acquired on any of them. However, characters created and Inventory will not be shared. In this DEV blog, we will talk about New Frontier: Zombies.



New Frontier: Zombies will be set in the same universe as the original New Frontier but with a much bigger focus on Survival against the Zombies (opposite to surviving mostly against players). Aliens will also not be present on this spinoff.

A lot of features will be different. As an example, base-building will be completely revamped. There you start normally with placing your land deed and start building. But here comes the first change. We have added a new material called Wood which is like the raw wood which you can farm in the world by harvesting trees. Elements built with these material types will be low quality and easy to destroy by other players. The owner of this land deed has the option to upgrade these elements with crafted wood, stone or metal later on. Rocks and metal will be rare and you will only be able to find them in zone 3+4 (4 is the furthest zone from the safe zone) where metal will be only in zone 4.
The decay system will also be changed in this game version. There is no auto-repair anymore. If, for example, a wall gets destroyed, then this wall will remain destroyed. If a destroyed element will cause decorations to be destroyed, then the owner will get all the resources back that was used for the decoration. Also if a chest gets destroyed, the content will be moved back to the owner's Mailbox storage.
If the chest gets raided by another player, then the owner will see a popup message as soon as he interacts the next time with it. When it comes to how the decay system will work then, it's still in development. However, our plan is doing it like your house will stay up for a few days and you have to log in frequently to refresh this time. If the timer hits 0, then your house will be gone.







Also, the gardens are going through some changes as well, as we saw those as one of the major problems in the previous version.

To place a garden, you will use the same system as the decoration system, while inside your house. There will be no "freestanding" gardens (placed outside the base).


Now the biggest change will be the loot and how to respawn system works. The world will be split by 4 areas, 3 PVP and a "starter" zone. In this zone, there will be "Safe Zone" and the starter spawn area.
The starter area will be close to the Safe Zone where you can spawn in after dying with nothing on you. The safe zone is self-explanatory. There you can equip yourself, meet up with players or activate missions by interacting with NPCs.
Now the complex part starts. The rest is split into 3 other zones. The further away you are from the safe zone, the better the loot will be there but the risk to bring that loot back to the safe zone is also higher. Also, random balloons will be better in these areas, which are further away.
Respawn options are going to be "Group", "Safe Zone" and "House". For example, if you use the house spawn, then you won't spawn inside your house, just close by it where it will be also a risk to die.
Another change will be if you die, you lose EVERYTHING. Also, Gold or items in your quick slots will be dropped.
The loot is not the only difference between these zones, also the zombies are going to get stronger and stronger.

Campaigns

There will also be a set of new "goals", which work just like a Season Pass. You can start campaigns at any time and there will be a variety of which you can choose from. However, you can only have one active at a time and most importantly you can start it at any time you want and it will have a time LIMIT rather than a date limit. After you complete one, you can start any of them at will.



We don't have an exact ETA for the release but we have the goal to bring it up as fast as we can. We hope you guys like our newest changes. We understand if some of you guys expected update for the New Frontier title but this game has been moved after Magnificent 5 and New Frontier: Zombies since we are a very small team.

Information about the State of Development



Howdy partners!🤠

We know we haven't posted anything lately, we are really sorry about that.
We worked on new material and a new way when it comes to base building and also tried to find the issue with disappearing interiors. This is a very difficult issue and it takes time to find the problem as it's not easily reproduced.
We also want to announce that there are 2 more languages coming on the upcoming patch. Along with some players, we translated the game into German and Portuguese. More language will come on a later state.

The most asked question is about when Season 2 will start and we don't really have a date for that but we already started working on and there are just some small adjustments left.

Soon we are also going to release Magnificent 5 which will be like a Battle Royale version of New Frontier. Together with this patch, we are also rolling out a performance patch for the New Frontier map and some fixes when it comes to bugs and server crashes.

Feel free to ask your question below and we will try to answer it. Keep in mind, we can't answer everything as long we don't have enough information.

Patch 10.03.2019 Changelog





  • Fixed the icon for the Daily Reward that would show as ready even if it wasn't. 
  • Fixed a bug where a player was able to keep the Bandit Buff after the Town Capture event ended.
  • Fixed a bug where the player was bleeding at the end of the Town Event and continued bleeding after the event ended.
  • We have reset some missions of the Season Pass where some players weren't able to finish them after the patch, for example, the Parcel one.
  • Fixed a bug where the UI would crash if 2 or more players would interact with the Balloon at the same time.
  • Fixed a problem related to the navigation of the creatures which was caused by a player opening doors.
  • Fixed a server crash where the players' Vault desync'd and it could cause item loss.



  • Added a check on running Town Capture events that don't let players join after the round has 25% capture points left and 5 minutes left.
  • This will prevent players to join an event that is almost done already.



  • Added a warning to the description to all Traps and Gardens about decaying after 25 minutes.




  • Optimized the loading time of the world for the game client.



  • For everyone who doesn't have the correct +% EXP on the Season Pass, we recommend you to submit a ticket to us, then we will be able to give you the missing %.

  • Fixed the names of the Doctor, General Store and Saloon NPCs in Vainbank. There weren't any names before.
  • Fixed the interact text of the PICKUP MAIL PACKAGE IN A POST OFFICE mission which was showing the wrong text.
  • Fixed the interact text of the INVESTIGATE MYSTERIOUS STONES NEAR TOTEMS mission which was showing the wrong text.
  • Fixed the loot of the chests which are findable at the farms.
  • Fixed a bug where you wouldn't drop Small and Large Nuggets and Gold Bars on death.
  • Fixed some mission descriptions where it said miles while using the distance in km.
  • Fixed a bug where you started bleeding right before the Town Capture event ended and you were still bleeding back in the main map.
  • Fixed a bug where some players were spawning outside of the map.
  • Fixed some bugs which were causing the game server to crash.



  • From now on you need to learn blueprints for weapons to be able to unlock them in your crafting list.
  • From now on Season Pass rewards are getting delivered to your Mailbox if your inventory is full.
