THE MULTIPLAYER VERSION IS READY
News Reacts has now two versions of which you choose one at startup.
Single player
Old story line from the opening act to the final mission. Also some improvements and some more activities has done.
Multiplayer
The multiplayer version doesn't have a story like the single player version does. We recommend that you play at least a few missions in the single player game first to familiarize yourself with the quite large city.
The multiplayer version has three modes:
- Just wandering: Players explore the secrets of the city together.
- First in target: Who reaches a certain place in the city first. The destination can even be on a moving train!
- Health hunt: Who finds most food in five minutes.
In future updates we will add more multiplayer modes according to your wishes.
Starting multiplaying
The first player who starts multiplaying is always the main character Titus who acts as the H o s t of the game. Host must have the UDP port 7777 opened on the router. Host must start the game before other players. The Host also has to give his/her IP address to other players who enter the address at startup. IP-address is shown at the start. The IP address can be internal (in local network) or external (on internet).
Other players joining the game gives the agreed IP address. If addresses are wrong, you are not playing the same game and can not see other players.
The second player joining the game can be a SWAT or Police character, but the third player can be just the remaining character. In the case of an incorrect selection, the remaining character is used.
There can be up to three players in the game, one of each character.
Only Titus as the Host can switch the game mode and start or stop competitions.
