Nibiru alpha 0.6.1 "meat update" is now available!

Hello Astronauts!
We are happy to inform You that we have released the Nibiru alpha 0.6.1 "meat update". All the functions described in the last news are ready. This update includes the following changes:
- Added a new system for dealing damage to creatures, which leaves wounds on the body of creatures.
- Added new blood splashes, now it is more realistic.
- Blood splashes remain on flat surfaces if you shoot at creatures a lot.
- Added bloody Shoe marks if you walk through a pool of blood.
- Added body parts of the first colonists in buildings and bunkers.

- Added a change of weapons using the mouse roller.
- Added a change of keys to the hot keys of weapons, grenades, LCP and PCM, as well as fixed the problem with changing the hot button of the grenade.
- Changed the visual part of the main menu and the pause menu in the game.





- Added 7 new storage chests to the bases in the middle and far part of the map (they only work if you start a new game, since they are not contained in the game version 0.6.1 below).
- Added the "Suicide" button to the pause menu, in case the character fell through the ground or got stuck somewhere.
- Changed the number of creatures in the world in a smaller direction, but not much.
- The grass in the game was made thicker. (the range of the grass is adjusted in the graphics settings)
- Simplified the geometry of the earth, which slightly reduced the load on the processor.

Thank you for waiting, the update came out much more than we planned, but it added a few features that we didn't originally plan to introduce. We very much hope that you will appreciate our work, I repeat once again, we have only 2 people working on the project.
We have received permission to issue collectible cards, they are currently under review by Steam employees, as soon as they are approved, we will release them immediately! :)

Nibiru alpha 0.6.1 "Meat update" coming soon

We are happy to inform you that we are currently working on the alpha 0.6.1 update. in this update, we have added a new system for taking damage to creatures. Now they will have visual damage and new blood splashes, which will also fall on the nearest objects.
Added blood trails if the player passes through a pool of blood.

This update will include many small changes that we will write as we release it. We plan to release this update in the near future.

The Alpha 0.5.3 update is already available!

We are very pleased that you are reading our report on the progress of work on the game and we sincerely thank you for it!
In this update, we solved the problem with rare game crashes at the end of loading a saved game. It took us a long time to find the cause of this event. In the end, we found the cause and eliminated it.
Full list of important changes:
- Fixed a problem with loading the game.
- Removed small larvae from the radar station (at the request of the players).
- Increased the respawn time of creatures on the entire map.
- Reduced predatory creatures and night mutants on the first half of the map.
- Added at the start of the game twice as many cartridges, first aid kits, food, oxygen cylinders and energy cells for the suit.
- Reconfigured the shooting of drones so that they could not shoot through trees, rocks or through the walls of buildings. Now they can see you behind cover, but they don't shoot at you.
- Replaced the model of raw meat falling from dead creatures with a model of raw meat.
- Added chests for storing items at the first radar station and at the biostation (they only work if you start a new game, since they are not in the list of the original save file, on version 0.5.1 or lower, items will not be saved in them, only on version 0.5.3 and higher).

We have made progress in working on the online game mode, and we would like to share with you a small video where you can see what we have achieved. At the moment, we have a working online character, creatures in the world, items in the game and story tasks. We still need to make the items extracted (ore) and collected (plants) networked. Also, of course, all this should be finalized so that it works properly and beautifully.

Alpha 0.5.1 update!

Hello Astronauts!
We are releasing updates for Nibiru 0.5.1, thanks for waiting for it. A lot of work has been done on this version. The logic of animals has been completely replaced, it is similar to the old one, but differs in vision, behavior, reaction, a large number of animations and combo attacks of creatures. Now the predatory creature, before attacking the victim, lets out a cry and only after that attacks. After this update, we move on to work on the online part of the game. The update has a large number of innovations, so if you find bugs, please write to us in the discussions.
Full changelog:

Changed the number of creatures in the world. They also changed their location.
The creatures received combo attacks that deal damage several times (attacks drop out randomly).
Reduced damage by one hit to creatures, but they have combo hits that will bring balance back.
Added a female voice when a female character takes damage.
We increased the range of the flashlight by 10 meters and the intensity of the glow.
Added a pop-up window for items not in inventory.
Increased crafting speed.
Reduced the number of items required for some items.
Added voice acting for the game in two languages, English and Russian.
Added a separate volume control for voice acting.
Fixed freezing of buttons in the pause menu.
Fixed the installation of keys in the game settings.
Increased the speed of mining ore with a multitool.

We are very pleased that you are reading our report on the progress of work on the network mode of the game and we sincerely thank you for this!
We are already happy with the conducted network tests, but there are still problems with living creatures, they do not behave adequately yet. We are currently working on fixing this problem.
Reconfigured mobs under the new system and replaced some of the creatures sounds. Drones will now fly higher than before.
We ordered the voice-over of the story part of the game in two languages, English and Russian. At the moment, we are simultaneously working on its integration into the project, which is very interesting.
There are also many small changes that you will be able to see soon.
We hope to finish working on the network and release all updates by the end of the month.

We have conducted the first network tests and we have something to share.
We were able to download the game in joint mode, run and shoot with a friend. However, at the moment everything looks crooked and there is still a lot of work on network data transfer.
At your request, we increased the speed of crafting items, from 20-50% depending on the specific recipe. Reduced the per-second consumption of food, oxygen, and the suit's power cells, so that supplies would last longer.
We also plan to translate the game into 4 more languages, which will be simplified Chinese, German, French and Spanish.
In the matter of translation, we would like to consult with You on which language to translate the game in the first place? Please write in the discussions.
We are also thinking about the voice acting of the game, but it is likely to be only in one language, at the moment we have not decided on this.

At the moment, we are working on a co-op game mode and we already have some achievements. Live creatures in the game and drones were transferred to a new game artificial intelligence. Which will allow us to implement network code for them. The creatures have a new vision and added a small increase in performance. We are gradually starting the first network tests.

Hello Astronauts!
We released the Alpha 0.3.1 update, which fixed a hang - up while loading the game. Saving works with version 0.3 and higher, saving made in the version below is not perceived, due to changes to it. Removed the loading scale, a long hang was due to the calculation of all downloaded objects, for an adequate display of progress. In the future, we will come up with a new option.
