Update 1.0.2
We keep on listening to our users; any suggestions are welcome! This new update includes big game improvements that affect Rolok/Billy's control and how the story develops.

Improvements to this new update are as follows:
.- Support for control pad has been added, apart from the existing support for analog stick. Many of you asked for the possibility to control Rolok/Billy with a digital pad, something that best fits the 2D playability of Nightmare Boy.
.- Conversations have been speeded up. Many of you didn't like to be pulled out of the action with long conversations between characters, so we've speeded up that scenes.
.- Good amount of minor bugs are fixed.
.- Overall game performance has been greatly improved.

Update 1.0.1 + OST
Our community and our users are one of the most important things for us! And for this reason, and so that you can see that we listen to you, we have updated Nightmare Boy fixing some of the problems that you have sent us.

Those updates are as follows:

  • Improved gameplay: more precise movement and jumps.
  • Revised translations.
  • The user can now choose resolution and switch between full-screen and windowed modes.
  • Fixed a minor bug in one shader.


In addition, the fantastic Nightmare Boy Original Soundtrack will be on Steam soon! It consists of 36 tracks (about 58 minutes of playback), composed by Vic Hernand.
