Commander, we have installed state of the art photo journalist equipment on the Bop Utility Bots! Access the command panel using the menu button, then select PHOTO MODE.
Whilst in Photo Mode you can move around the battle and observe the events of a singularity time frame!!

SUPREMACY HIVE AHEAD The Sovereign has appeared and is promising that we will travel no further - however a mysterious pilot has been spotted attacking the sovereign through a warp fight! We still have hope Commander!
The Final Chapter We have located DR TALI and are preparing our offenses to get her out of that HIVE, everyone to battle stations!
HEDRA RETURNS The HEDRA Supremacy Warmind has been spotted preparing an attack! Stand fast Commander, it may be incredibly powerful, but nothing the Alliance cannot overcome!
Leviathan Metamorphosis We have reports that the Graveyard leviathan has improved its self-building capabilities and re-arranged its attack patterns to combat our previous knowledge of its behaviour - beware of this Leviathan Commander!
MODULE UPGRADES We have improved our repair and shielding modules, which will now affect our entire built ship! This will surely aid our escape from the Supremacy!
DEPLOYABLE MODULES Our engineers have developed "deployable" modules for the Alliance, we can use these to gain the advantage in battle!

First a hearty thank you to all the new pilots that joined us over the winter holiday and Lunar New Year sales. The Alliance couldn't do it without you!

Builder BOP and Pilot Bop
Our BOP utility drones have newly installed tactical armaments. Aswell as the Tractor Beam and Clamp Arms, BUILDER BOP now has access to an experimental military shield tech which only last a few seconds, but is the difference between escaping the Supremacy, and having our brains turned to mush. The PILOT BOP has also had improvements to its structural mainframe, PILOT BOP directs weapon and thrust capabilities of the Alliance Battlecruiser.
Alliance Salvage Operations
Our Engineers have retrofitted our large module bays with expansion capabilities. We can now attach crew quarters, armour expansions and large structural modules to the Alliance Battlecruiser. This allows us to expand the capacity of the ship and man more weapons and utilities - Lets get out there and find us some salvage!
Commander Visor Updates
During our escape to the outer rim we ensure the safety of nearby colonies by answering their distress calls. The new upgrades to the visor show the number of colony ship signals remaining in the sector.
Mission communication protocol improved
Communications from distress calls and during warp spooling/exit are now subject to a "need to know" basis. Shorter communications are advised.
Nuclear signatures detected
Scans have revealed a large radiation signature on our route to the outer rim, prepare the armory, reinforce shields and get ready for engagement, Commander.
Ship Distress Signal Received
We have received an urgent support request from a nearby sector, the captain has reported ship wide malfunctions and imminent escape pod evacuation into deep space... we cannot leave them out there Commander, plotting route now.
Engineers tinkering with the Alliance Arcade Cabinet
Our engineers have cooked up some new modes in the Mess Hall Arcade Cabinet, we now have access to Story mode, which is the classic game we know and love, and a NEW and IMPROVED ARCADE MODE, which gives us 3 coins to use as lives - should be a blast Commander!
Mess Hall Achievement Wall
The crew have been comparing their achievements on the arcade machines, and started a wall of fame - they are calling it "Steam Achievements" - something related to the malfunctioning ventilation down there.

Early Access Update 3 - Colonies

I'm receiving a signal from multiple sources around the 'verse. It looks like one of our allies have discovered a beacon with some sort of encrypted message. Here's what we managed to translate so far. Scroll to the bottom for the short version!

'Oculus Touch' Controller Model and Settings
A new controller option was added, along with angle settings to make controlling the Alliance more comfortable and customization. The Oculus Touch controller will now appear in game when utilizing this system. And make sure to adjust the new Angle Settings for increased comfort!
Colony Ships' Movement Upgraded
The beacon contained a hidden code that we can use to help our allies dock and leave docking correctly. This will fix their forward alignment and will make those tasks feel a lot more natural.
Our ST-3v3 unit also managed to install this new code on its own circuits, and will now leave the system if it loses sight of the Alliance ship.
Fixed Scores
There was a small issue with the score counters, causing scores to be calculated incorrectly. This will no longer happen, as part of this mysterious encrypted code seems to have the correct formulas. I love technology!
This also means all existing highscores will be reset. It's time to jump to the next sector and leave your mark on the leaderboards!
We also installed Advanced Image Preceptors that will allow systems to be visualized with more fidelity. Shiny graphics!

Commander Ship Signature Located!
Logistics Commander ST-3v3 has been located in a nearby sector - plotting coordinates now!
Primitive Class-B artificial intelligence cores left ST-3v3 unharmed by the nanobot virus which claimed most AI during the rise of The Supremacy. ST-3v3's primary directive is to manage logistics and storage of the colonies inventory.
If we rendevous and bolster the Alliance, ST-3v3 could help manage our arms and munitions.

BOP Utility Bot Upgraded
This one was me Commander!
Me and those down at the engineering bay fashioned a scrapped Mag-Lev Hangar storage module into (if I might be so humble) and extremely effective Tractor Beam upgrade for our BOP Utility Bots!
All you do is aim directly at the modules floating around during the escape, and pull them in. How's that for a night's work Commander!

Munition Trajectory and Attack confirmation Update
Commander, our trajectorial analysis systems for missiles and guided explosives has been improved, visual trails will be much more visible and help with identification of incoming danger!
Changes to the on board tactical display have been reverted - improving identification of the accuracy and effectiveness of our attacks on the Supremacy - Multipliers and Ratings will be visualised above destroyed enemies (strangely like in that dream I logged in holodeck that I named "game trailer").

Supremacy Weakpoint Analysis Improved
The targetting and analysis systems for Supremacy weakpoints can now identify direct hits! Our ability to strike the enemy at the most volatile areas has thus improved and it's quite the fireworks display!

Mission Updates complete - Let's hit the Rec Room and play some "Pyramid"!
Oh Commander!! Speaking of the Rec Room, Our engineers are working on some sweet improvements to the arcade cabinets down there too! Achievements and save data options for the games UI and configurable tutorials and number of "Lives" are being added to that super classic "Nighstar Alliance" game we scavenged from Terra!

Early Access Release and Update 1
Calling all commanders, we're ready for countdown! We're happy to announce the very first public version of NIGHTSTAR: Alliance is now available on Steam!
NIGHTSTAR: Alliance is a direct continuation of NIGHTSTAR: Starfighter. This time you control a heavy armed battle cruiser during a daring escape from the evil Supremacy forces. But this time, you're not alone. Build a massive space fleet, upgrade all your ships and get ready to battle in outer space. All of it with that modern revisit to the 80s aesthetics and arcade feel!
We've had a few weeks of demoing the game in events along with VR Arcades and the media and the following changelog refers to what changed since then. We're looking forward to continue listeting to your feedback and improving the game.

Engineer Nika will be commanding the Repair module bay! This helps differentiate between some of the story elements involving Dr Tali and the characters on modules in game.
- New Supremacy Waves Detected!
New baddies are coming, and in greater number! Enemies now have a chance to spawn in formation along with battleships and destroyers. Set all blasters to full power!
- Target Aquisition Improved
Our Blaster tech has improved by a margin of 10-20%, improving bullet flight speed and trajectorial accuracy! Take em for a spin, Commander!
