I can never put a date on the release of Nina Aquila: Legal Eagle, Chapter IV. Longtime fans will be aware this isn't my day-job, and I can only work on the games when I have time. But things have been progressing well on Chapter IV recently, and I want to just share with you that I aim to try and release C4 before the end of 2024. Thanks in advance for your patience; I'm sure no-one expected it to take this long (myself included!) but I hope you can understand.
So! If you want to keep up with development, there are a few ways to do this.
Hi everyone! Coming to you with an unusually personal plea.
Much of the equipment I use for NALE development is bought on the thrift, as I try to keep costs really low in order to maximise the budget I can spend on making the games the best they can be.
Unfortunately, a couple of months ago the office chair I use developed a problem, and is finally giving up the ghost. I need to replace it as soon as possible before it becomes totally unusable.
This is a problem because I've suffered from lower back problems in the past, so I have to get good quality chairs. I'm also a plus-sized, fat-bodied person, which places some constraints on what I should get. I was very lucky to score this imitation Aeron chair on eBay ~5 years ago for an absolute steal, but I've been watching eBay for a similar bargain and just haven't found one.
While it's not the most exciting or sexy tool of the gamedev trade, I think people will agree that a working office chair is pretty vital in game development.
I want to look after my health and buy a quality chair with a long guarantee, so I want to buy a refurbished actual Herman Miller Aeron Chair, but these are £350, or ~$440. But I'm not comfortable with asking for donations, so instead, I'm putting my game on offer!

It has been a whirlwind of a couple of years. Truthfully, NALE was launched on Steam a passion project, following numerous requests from fans. We really had no idea just how many people here would pick it up. But you did! And you loved it! And we can't thank you enough!
So to commemorate this, we've put together an infographic of some key NALE information below!

Hi all, happy new year and hope you've had a good start to 2023!
Just wanted to update you all on the state of Chapter IV, and a few other bits and pieces.
Chapter IV's written plan is in the late-stages now, with the plot essentially written, but with work to convert that into a development plan. Similar to how previous chapters were worked up, this involves breaking down the plot into a series of consecutive states, working out what assets are needed, and making sure the right evidence etc. exists at each point of the game. However, it's fair to say this process has "turned a corner" now and once this plan is complete, we can start map-making and scripting.
Additionally, watch out for NALE Season One showing up in a few exciting places... Unfortunately that's all we can say right now, but keep an eye out!
NALEC4 Regular Dev Update #1
Hi all! This entry starts what will be a series of regular development updates about NALEC4, or Nina Aquila: Legal Eagle, Chapter IV: "Sacred Feathers".
The goal is for these to be weekly updates, however, we'll only post when there's actually something to report, so we're calling them "regular" updates instead.
Keeping up with updates
If you're seeing this, that means you probably follow something here on Steam related to us. We really recommend, if you want to keep up with things, to follow either the game, or our developer page.
Make sure you follow, NOT "wishlist", as wishlists only get you notified of price drops. Obviously you CAN do both.
Story Updates
One of the biggest parts of NALE development that we can't talk much about (as it's too spoiler-ridden) is story development. We only announced the existence of NALEC4 when we had a story treatment with which we were happy, but that's nowhere near finished. We still need to do quite a bit of work on paper, so that work is ongoing right now. We hope to have updates about this in the near future.
