Wow, this was a wild ride. We have been working on this game for over 2 years now, and for more than a year we have been listening to your feedback and improving it in Early Access to make it ready for full Release. While we had ups and downs, our whole team gave our very best. We were working very hard to create No Place Like Home and implement our visiontogether with your amazing feedback.

We have upgraded almost every aspect of the game, added tons of new features and fixed even more problems and bugs. Today we bring you the product of our efforts and we hope that you will not be disappointed!

Undergrounds Patch


New upgraded undergrounds are coming back to game in next few weeks. They will bring new zone to explore with few new items, trash to clean and obstacles to overcome.

Hard Mode Patch


Hard mode is also coming in next few weeks that will be a great addition for more demanding players looking for more challenging experience

Fishing Patch:



Major fishing patch will be coming in Q2 2022 and will feature new small farm zone with ponds, new npc, new items and of course and new fishing challenges. Stay tuned for more info!

We are extremely excited to say that we have just launched our 1.0 Version before tomorrows full release! Tomorrow we will launch another summary patch but today we really wanted to add last few pieces before full release as well as many bug and problems fixes!

New Patch notes


Final section of the game: The Sunken City


This is a small final zone that features quite fun run with unlimited super chickens and final encounter.
We don't want to spoil anything so we suggest just to jump in and see it yourselves ;)




You can get there by taking a boat from Desert after completing all quests or using fast travel from map once Designer unlocks it for you:


New intro


We added a new short animated intro that you can check out once you launch a new game.



Automatic saves


Now the game saves automatically every time you move between areas.



Motion sickness fixes:





  • Added smart camera option - once you turn it on you can rotate camera by walking to sides so you can navigate through world without a mouse, additionally camera keeps steady at one level of Hight and return to this level while walking
  • Added field of view adjustment
  • Added motion sickness section in settings (fov, white dot, smart camera)


Other fixes:


  • Added Super Chicken icon
  • After finishing a quest NPCs take all quest related items from inventory (even if you have excess of the items; items kept in chests and on map stay in the game)
  • Adjusted cost of fixing Harold’s house
  • Added missing food recipes
  • Fixed moving platform in winter zone
  • Added sounds for dialogues and UI
  • Fixed blocked fence in autumn zone
  • Fixed levitating cubes/trash/suitcases
  • Llama House and other buildings are being properly repaired/built while Ellen is in another area

New Hot Fix 0.35.K_170 is live!

New Hot Fix!

Hey Guys!

Today we launch a quick hot fix! Here is a list:


  • Jam can stack up to 50 pieces per slot
  • More pet food capacity in lvl 3 animal houses
  • Fix - scenes loading errors, bad (too strong) lighting and items/buildings disapearing from farms
  • Fix - quest items are now counted correctly
  • Fix - some furniture was looking “glitchy” (bad aligned textures etc)
  • Fix - few sound changes (new sounds plus old trash vacuuming sound is back)
  • Fix - trash no longer appearing many times over Fennec House (Desert area)

New Fast Travel System, Food Buffs and Creative Mode is LIVE!

We have just uploaded all new features to LIVE version and you can already check them out!
As a reminder from previous update here is what is new:

Fast Travel - Map Teleports



Every opened door in the game shows up on the game map... and allows you to instantly teleport to it! Fast travel at it's finest!



Food Buffs



All the food you cook can now be eaten by using it from your quick slots and pressing its coresponding quick slot number (1-9).
Food have different effects on Ellen and there are four kinds of them to discover.



New bug fixes




  • Infinite honey production, another fix (fixed for good this time!)
  • Several colliders added, less chance to get stuck in different locations in the world
  • New map UI - map have had a bit of upgrades in regards to teleports and overall user experience
  • Gate fix - there were some minor bugs that caused ending up in a wrong place when using gates.
  • Lot’s of technical small fixes - those fixes were aimed to tackle most of the problems with vanishing animals and farm elements. Despite our strong efforts its extremely hard to replicate 100% of those situations, but thanks to your support we got quite a few clues on what had to be fixed. Now the game should be ever more stable and even more enjoyable to play :)

Creative Mode + Fast travel BETA + Fixed save games issue!

Wait no more, Creative Mode is here in BETA! But before we jump into it, few announcements:



Broken Saves Fixed!


First of all we are very sorry about yesterday issue with game crashes and saves that could not load.
We have already fixed underlying issues and everything should work as normal!
We have received 25 save games that broke down due to recent bug and we can confirm that they all should already work thanks to yesterdays hotfix.

How to Join Creative mode Beta?



Today we launch Creative mode beta!
Please be aware, as usual with beta testing content, this is completely separate branch that do not influence your live save games.

Starting a new game in BETA will make it look as there are no saves, but in fact your saves are stored for you to come back to when you switch back to a live game (please check instructions).

Also any saves made in beta will be lost when you switch back to the live version of the game.

New Patch 0.32.249 Is Live - Full Release moved to 17th March.

Hey guys, New Patch is live ;)





Thank you so much for your patience, we hope that many issues have bene fixed with this update and we are working on next fixes right now!

We have been gradually hotfixing our game across last week and we didn't want to spam you too much with too frequent announcements. Since last update we have pushed 1 bigger and 3 smaller patches and you can see full list of changes below.

New release date



Unfortunately we have to move our release date by one week to make sure we can provide you with better experience and make sure everything works as intended. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

New Release Date is 17th March 2022.

We are extremely excited about upcoming weeks and we hope that you are too!
Please note that we are already working on the next patch and we will continue to support this game after full release. In addition to hard mode and new improved undergrounds we will be adding a big patch that will bring fishing to this game! No worries though - no Fish will be hurt in the process! ;)

Changelog



Here are the changes that are already live ;)

Wild and farm animals fixed:

  • A new system that will keep animals from wandering off too far from their spot until befriended – no animal should walk now on water or hide in not accessible places
  • Animals after being befriended will now “poof” (teleport) towards their homes instead of walking and getting lost
  • We added more Wild animals than required so you can find them easily and Wild Animal lairs now accept an infinite number of them
  • We added new batch of animals to compensate for any that got lost due to bugs – you now have a special exclusive editions of NPLH with bigger number of available animals!
  • Fixed an issue with ducks getting lost when going to Chicken Coop
  • Increased the range of interaction for animal party triggers on Cowshed, Pigsty and Chicken Coop (level 3)
  • Animal collisions removed - Ellen can now run freely through her feathery and furry friends
  • Cows will now require regular Wheat instead of Hay (Hay items will be converted to Wheat)
  • "Animal Befriended” popup can now be closed by pressing any button, not only Esc/X

Many crushing / vanishing items problems fixed:

  • Fixed a bug crashing the game when entering Village or other areas
  • Some fixes for few situations when all things disappear from players’ farm
  • Fix - plants shouldn’t disappear after few nights (they don’t!)
  • Memory optimization - game should now use a lot less ram

Quests:

  • You may now receive The Bulbulator from Rudy in all zones and not only in the Village (Frozen Peaks Quest)
  • You will now be able to talk to Lilly and Harold to receive more dog treats and sheep medicine (after you finished quest related activities)
  • Fixed an issue with not being able to obtain blueberries
  • Disco Ball and hat quest rewritten for more clarity
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes a “New Customer Quest” did not register properly
  • Added a new quest that requires players to build a kitchen to learn the cooking mechanics
  • Various fixes regarding Oat (pig quest)
  • Increased size of Bulbulator Parts to make them easier to find
  • Water Filters has been missing on map, they now can be found In Frozen Peaks close to entrance to Desert.

New additions:

  • Due to popular demand Cubebots have been reintroduced to game
  • New production building - Solar Powered Battery Maker! – so you don’t run out of batteries for cubebots
  • Reintroduced building upgrades (placing them on top of other buildings)
  • Crafting station now do not close during crafting so you can craft many items without any interuptions! That also fixed all of problems with unreachable crafted itesm.
  • Rudy is moved closer to player starting location on farm
  • Autorun feature (press scroll/middle button on your mouse to toggle on/off)

Other changes:

  • Changed icon and model for Recycled Material
  • Added a note from grandpa in Ellen’s house
  • Fixed for being able to preserve flower seeds for minuscule amounts of jars
  • Kitchen will now display the output you’re going to receive before cooking starts
  • A few fixes regarding dancing cow
  • Fixed few causes for objects to disappear on the map

  • Fixed key bindings for controllers - ps 2,3,4 & xbox 360 & xbox one
  • Fixed tooltip flickering issues
  • Fixed production when collecting was possible but shouldn't be

  • Fixed popup for save slots
  • Reading quest notes in inventory feature
  • Updated models for some desert trash stacks
  • Flowers can now be harvested for more flower seeds
  • Fixed wrong icons for Boar and Deer requirements

Hot fix 1



  • Decoration Crafting Station fix - now crafted items will show up in inventory
  • Rudy got a minor reposition so now it’s easier to find him (not so far from Ellen's house)

Hot fix 2



  • Now befriended Cubebots ask for a Battery and not for Recycled Material
  • A Cubebots Lodge and a Solar Power Station are available now as blueprints in the Farmer's shop (not craftable items)
  • A Cheese Maker can produce Goat Cheese
  • Some of the suitcases' content have been changed
  • Pig cages have been replaced with new ones (winter zone)
  • From now on Save Game options are disabled in tutorial
  • Sheep stopped displaying quest indicators
  • Goats want Pet Food instead of Acorns
  • Cubebots Lodge can be moved back to your inventory

Hot fix 3



  • All feathers can now be picked up from start of game
  • Boars have a new avatar instead the old, slightly inaccurate one
  • Lilly now sells all kind of seeds (game progress unlocks more)
  • Adjusted plants description
  • Fixed infinite honey production
  • Hollyhock plant fixed - the final stage of growth doesn’t make the plant to appear as it’s gone
  • Player can now sleep several times in a row
  • Tutorial Chicken Coop can be crafted every time you play through a tutorial
  • Now when you receive Recycled Material it lands where it supposed to (the Recycled Material counter) instead of ending up in your inventory

We are still working on vanishing farm bugs and we have most likely found a solution, additionally we will write a new script that will automatically restore all your stuff if it disappears without your interactions so this problem should be fixed entirely in following days.

New hotfix and plans for next week!

Hello everyone!

With another day comes another update! But first of all, thank you for your in-depth feedback and heated discussions on Steam and our dedicated Discord server - it brings us tons of useful information and make all decision easier for us.

This time we bring you more optimisation and tweaks, and some minor behind the scenes bug fixing. Big things are coming soon, but we need some extra time and focus to make them work as intended.
Vegetables were added to blueprint costs so now they make more sense in the game economy
Recycler capacity and efficiency was tweaked:


  • Each slot can now uptake 500 trash:
  • Lv 1: 1 slot = 500 trash => 30 recycled material
  • Lv 2: 2 slots = 1000 trash => 60 recycled material
  • Lv 3: 4 slots = 2000 trash => 120 recycler material
  • A sign was added close to the Bird Feeder to make it clear on how to use it
  • Stacking capacity for trash increased to an arbitrary large number!
  • Staking capacity for resources has changed to 100 per equipment slot
  • Staking capacity for seeds changed to 50 per equipment slot
  • Camera now works as before and its much easier to select objects and farm!


Inventory - split item/ pick one


We will be adding tooltips for those as well but for now we wanted to remind that:
You can split items in inventory by holding CTRL button and clicking on item.
You can pick just one item by holding SHIFT and clicking on item.

Undergrounds/dungeons are coming back!

We have decided to bring back the undergrounds! They will come together with map and will be graphically enhanced so you can navigate through them more easily and enjoy more diversified biomes inside of them.
They will be completely optional choice and will not stop your progress but they will bring some additional optional rewards. To make sure we make everyone happy they will get a more demanding version for Challenge mode as well ;)

Cooking recipes will be back as costs of blueprints


Based on your feedback we also decided to bring back food and cooking recipes as a cost of crafting. We understand that it was a feature that kept this crafting system a bit more exciting and unique and that some of you may be missing it.
We first have to make sure that all of them are assigned well so you do not get any unnecessary blocks in progress. We will also place few copies of each recipe on map to make sure they are not too hard to find and that you won't get stuck anywhere. Challenge mode will have however only one copy of each recipe and you will need to spend some time to find it.

Missing Cube bots


We truly did not expect so many people to miss them as they were only a placeholders in game but we are happy to say that with so many popular requests they will be returning to our game in next few weeks 😉

Missing quest Animals and farm Animals:


All animals in the wild will get their own patrol region so you can always find them in specific places and they will no longer walk into inaccessible places.

Fast travel:


Fast travel will be soon also linked to map and you will be able travel on map to each loading gate once you unlock it. - let us know if you like that idea ;)

Bugs/blocks/issues


We will of course fix another big list of bugs blocks and issues such us missing hay for cows, missing animals, broken quests, scarcity of items etc. You can be sure that

We are also working on a lot of graphic updates that should help you in navigating the game world.



RAM memory issues


Some of you are also experiencing some RAM memory issues that sometimes lead to game crashes, we are looking into that issue and we should have some answers next week!

New Fixes, Balances and Changes!

Hi guys!

We're back with the new update and there is even more on the way! We carefully go through all of the messages and topics, where we gather all the feedback you give us, so that we can act upon things that are most important for our players - you!

At the same time, apart from fixing things we come with ideas on how to make the game suited for a broader audience and have a refreshing effect on the day of the final release.

Here's what's new:

  • Increased stacking amount for trash in inventory from 500 to 2000 (and we will soon increase it to 9999)
  • Increased stacking amount for other items in inventory from different amounts to 50 (and we plan to increase it to 100)
  • Now all hats can stack in inventory, so no more space is wasted
  • Crafting plant field will now properly be pulled towards player and not land on top of the crafting station
  • Removed the mechanic that restricted planting to Pots and Greenhouses only - now flowers and more advanced crops can be planted in regular plot fields
  • Added extra information about putting hats on chickens so it's not a mystery anymore
  • Fixed the "infinite eggs" (and other animal-based products) production
  • Bigger interaction hitbox for a dog - it's much easier to interact with it
  • Increased the amount of resources collected by Llamas
  • Increased the number of available objective items on farm (the amount required by quest unchanged), now it shouldn't be such a problem to find them
  • Fixed the problem with players getting stuck during Cornelius Disco Ball quest (partially fixed, might still cause some issues)
  • Fixed missing icon for the message in a bottle
  • Moved fast travel entrance closer to the Ellen’s house
  • Architect’s house location updated (this will be visible on new saves only)
  • Cornelius should now properly leave after finishing his quests (no more hanging around idly)
  • Fixed message in a bottle missing icon and dialogue
  • Fixed the issue with unintuitive toxic waste piles
  • Fixed oats for quest so that no one gets stuck on using up quest item to do something else
  • Interaction is now back as it used to be - to camera-forward based, and not Ellen-forward based


Balance change


This is quite a big change to current economy. For now we decided to make all the costs for blueprints and crafting much lower (but still reasonable). We are looking to hear your feedback about current costs and adjust accordingly if needed. More casual players should feel much more relaxed with new prices and more advance players should still find them meaningful. Let us know what you think once you check them out!

New Recycler/Jar maker outputs


We have made all Recyclers and Jar makers much more efficient. They can now produce much more at once and they only need to work 2 minutes at 1st lvl, 1 minute and 2nd lvl and 0,5 minutes at 3rd level.
We hope that it will make all the wait and progress much more enjoyable now but if you feel you want even better performance just let us know and we will discuss it as well.

Casual Mode - Adventure Mode - Challenge Mode


Thanks to all your feedback we have realized how many different expectations and favorite aspects of game you have. We would love to provide different approaches to game and to accommodate your different playstyles without having too many compromises. We decided few days ago to add Casual Mode to the game that will make everything free and available from the start. It can be played instead of standard Adventure mode and it will be dedicated to people who just want to relax and farm without any challenge.
Adventure Mode mode will be same as current live version with a bit of challenge and demand from player.
Third mode we want to add is Challenge Mode that will have more demanding enemies, bigger costs and few more challenges. We hope that this way everyone will find a mode perfect for them and we will not be forced to sacrifice anything. Please note that Challenge mode will be added around 1 month after full release as current focus is on fixing everything and making Adventure and Creative mode as good as we can but its coming.

What's coming next - Post Patch Repair Plan



Hey guys!

Today we wanted to do a short update on post-patch progress and we are extremely grateful for all your feedback.

We are very proud that we managed to roll out that update and that so many of you like new features and changes but unfortunately there were some mistakes that we have made and we need to address them now.

This is our first digital project and we have still a lot to learn but you can be sure that we want to make everything right.

Save reset


First of all we know that game reset should have been better communicated and we apologize for that.
We hope to not make that mistake in future and that all the upcoming changes to game will make up for it. We will also prepare a creative mode for you that you let you catch up very quickly to where you have left last time. More on that below.

Beta testing


Secondly we should have done more beta testing of a patch and gather more feedback. We were super excited about all upcoming changes and we thought you would love them too. Unfortunately some of things did not live up to your expectations or in some cases we see that you feel that few changes have downgraded the game. We understand your point and we are already discussing possible solutions.

We have gone through all of your feedback posts and all the bug reports and I am very happy to say that we can fix vast majority of problems.

We have already started working on a lot of issues and you will get a separate update tomorrow with patch notes. For now we wanted to address all the problems asap and present you our solutions.

Main problems that we have recognized and that we plan to fix in upcoming days are:

Too expensive recipes:


We understand that the game may feel grindy now and we need to make everything cheaper. Our intent was to make trash count more and be useful in crafting but we understand that we have overdone it and it needs to be fixed. For now we will make everything very cheap again and then discuss with you how would you like to have our economy rebalanced.

Limits of farming:


We have introduced new pot plants and greenhouse that were supposed to be needed for better types of plants. We understand that it may be confusing so this limitation will be removed form the game and you will be able to plant everything anywhere you want.

Fast travel system:


We understand that you need more fast travel options and we ar working on those, more details coming soon and we will also gather more feedback on your requirements to make sure we do not overdo it.

Missing Underground:


We got a lot of feedback that the undergrounds are too confusing and too complicated so we decided to simplify them. Now a lot of people are missing the “good old” undergrounds and we feel you.
We need however more feedback to learn what exactly are you missing?

Missing Cube bots


We truly did not expect so many people to miss them as they were only a placeholders in game but we are happy to say that with so many popular requests they will be returning to our game in next few weeks 😉

Missing quest Animals and farm Animals:


All animals in the wild will get their own patrol region so you can always find them in specific places and they will no longer walk into inaccessible places.

Bug reports:


We have recognized a lot of bugs that you have reported and we are working on those. Tomorrow we will post a detailed report and list of what exactly we will be fixing next.

Crashes, missing items, loading problems


Unfortunately there are still problems with game crashes and vanishing content. We will post tomorrow a dedicated email and instruction on how to send us your save games so we can investigate and fix those issues.

Creative Mode:


This a a big addition to game that we hope that you will love. We will add a creative mode next to a normal game mode where everything will be free and available from the start including all recipes, crops animals and fast travel options. This is a mode dedicated to people who just want to farm and clean the world without any gates or obstacles. It will take around 1-2 weeks to complete but we hope that it will be a great addition for people who want a full relaxing experience without any limitations.

What will happen next?


1. Tomorrow we launch a quick fix patch with a patch notes update that will address a lot of current problems.
2. On Wednesday 16th we post another update with fixes and more specific plan on fixing next problems.
3. By Wednesday 23rd we post another patch with fixes and we start discussing all your further requirements on separate discussion topics on forum.
