In order to keep up with the latest versions of the game we will change the number of the different patch numbers. The patch version 2.1 is changed to patch notes version 1.4.7 which now corresponds to version 1.4.7 of Noara.

New features

The team that destroys the chest earns twice the amount of Khinas!
As for the cage that it replaces, the chest appears at certain times of the game.
• Frequency of appearance: Round 2 / 6 / 10
• Life points: 500 / 800 / 1100
• Khina gain per plate: 100 / 150 / 200

PATCH NOTES #1.04

Hello everyone!
Lots of new additions to this new patch #1.04, so let's get started right now:

April Event

For the month of April, we're introducing a number of random events that can change your gameplay experience and even earn you unique rewards!

Egg Hunt

During the course of a game (2v2 or Skirmish, not including custom games), there is a very small chance that an egg will appear on one of the battlefield squares at the start of each team's Offensive Turn. If a unit moves to that square, the player who owns the unit gets the egg.
In addition, there is a very small chance that when using Rajang's Z skill "Fishing Time", one of the options fished may be an egg.
If a player collects 999 eggs during the month of April, they will unlock a unique skin of Akuyandi: Easter Bunny

Explosive games

At the start of a game, there is a chance that all of the items you will be offered during a Management Turn or that you can collect by destroying a cage will be "Ansom Bombs". In addition, bombs can rain down and land on unoccupied squares at any time during an explosive game.

Balancing

Units

Krogz & Kapal :
Looking at recent games, we find that the Krogz and Kapal Creatures are not up to par with the other units. So we're going to make a few minor changes to bring them up to date a bit:
• Their purchase limit is increased from 8 to 50 each
• Each time a Krogz or Kapal is purchased, their cost decreases by 10 for the rest of the game.
• Krogz and Kapal are no longer subject to the deployment limit: you can deploy as many as you have.

Babanga
On the other hand, we want to ensure that strategies based only on the mass purchase of Krogz and Kapal can still be effectively countered. So, we are also buffing Babanga:
A "Flying Knee": To further reward players who manage to chain this attack, the damage dealt increases by 1 for each opponent hit until the end of the turn.

Pirh slapper
R " Galvanizing Strike" : The skill now also increases the size of the affected Pirh by 10%, up to a maximum of 450%.

Kalinga
With this change on Kalinga, we want to put Akuyandi in the spotlight, because he is still not played enough in our opinion. Moreover, we want to highlight the complicity that these two characters have.
So, Kalinga has a new Passive: When Kalinga dies, Akuyandi automatically appears on the bench of the player who owned Kalinga.

Castes

In the vein of the Krogz and Kapal creature buff, we are also improving their caste bonuses.
We are reintroducing check insensitivity into creature bonuses. In addition, this control insensitivity will be unlocked once the 2 Creature Bonus is unlocked.

Stronghold

After several observations, it seems that the games are still a bit too long. So we have changed the life points of the Bastion so that it can be destroyed more quickly:
• Bastion hit points reduced from 700 to 350.

To compensate for this, and because we want to put the Bastion Upgrades back into the gameplay, we've made some changes to this one:
Bastion Upgrade 1: Has been removed from the game.
Bastion Upgrade 2: Has been removed from the game.
Bastion Upgrade 3: Removed from the game.

Fix

• Fixed a bug where sometimes the player Majhinell could win games.
• Fixed a bug where sometimes the bot Penguin could lose games.
• Fixed a bug that allowed to win the game by writing "/win" in the chat.
• Fixed a bug that prevented Namleh from touching himself with his R.
• Fixed a bug that allowed players to exceed 2000 MMR. As a result, the MMR of all players above 2000 has been reduced to 404.

Collection tab

We wanted to innovate, even in the shop! So we created a brand new concept of character skins: common skins.
So, we are proud to present you the first skin of its kind, common to Krogz and Akuyandi:

Krakuyandi

This skin is now available in the shop (collection tab)! It's up to you to use it strategically to disguise the real King and fool your opponent!

Game mechanics change

Finally, following feedback from many Fortnite players who didn't like the "Top View" aspect of the game, we're ending this patchnote with a big announcement: we are proud to announce that Noara will now be in TPS (Third Person Shooter) mode.
We are currently working on this change, but here is what we can already tell you:
- The turn-based mode has been kept, allowing us to keep the strategic aspect at the heart of Noara's gameplay.
- We already have a few visuals to whet your appetite.

We hope you'll enjoy these many changes, see you soon on the Lands of Noara!

If you want to know more, the whole Atypique Studio team wishes you a good reading!

NEW FEATURES

Out-of-game features

Collection:
• The collection tab is now available! This tab allows you to purchase various cosmetic items (character skins, portraits, etc.) and also to choose what you will display to other strategists (choose which skin will be used for a character during a game, etc.). To make your purchases, you will need to buy Sarme Coins which can be purchased in-game or on Steam.
• The "Fire Akuyandi" skin is now available in the collection! This skin is offered to strategists who purchased the game at release as a thank you for their help, and will be included in the Founder's Pack DLC on Steam.
• Krogz, Kapal, Tiwangi and Babanga "Abyssal" Skins are available in the Store! These new skins come with new associated visual effects.

Chat: A common chat has been enabled on the team building screen in Custom Mode

Codex
• Added the 5 Adalar units (see Gameplay > Skirmish).
• Added a tab dedicated to Mercenary units.
• Added items
• Added Bastion abilities
• Added tactical advantages

Options: Ability to change languages directly from the game.

Gameplay

Escarmouche
• New clan in Skirmish mode released: Adalar Demons! 5 units are currently usable: Silicia, Floyd, Guttsie, Opie&Jake and Sentinel (see in-game codex)
• Accompanied by changes to the map for Skirmish mode.

2v2
Mechanics:
• Tactical Advantage System (Boosters): During some Management Turns, 3 Tactical Advantages will be offered to each team, which can only choose 1. Tactical Advantages are passive bonuses that apply to the whole team for the rest of the game, and their power can change the course of each game!
• Endgame: A new way to win the battle has been added! From now on, at the end of the 15th round, we compare the Khinas won during the game by each team. The team with the most wins the game!
• Advantage for 2nd team: We noticed that the team playing second often had a hard time. From now on, this team will be given a bonus at the beginning of the game allowing them to deploy their units further.
• Reward on elimination: To bring more dynamism and encourage confrontations, we added a gain of Khinas for the team managing to eliminate an opponent unit, up to 40% of the purchase price of the unit. For the units that the players do not buy (Demolisher and Wasabi for example), an amount of Khinas was fixed.
• Removal of the Armoury: Due to the many changes and additions, we have decided to remove this mechanic for the time being.

Silos:
• Silos no longer require units to be positioned next to them to launch their upgrade (however, they still do to launch the initial build)
• The Khina brought back by a Silo now depends on the health points it has left: the less health points it has, the less Khina it brings back (at 1% less health points = 1% less Khina brought back).
• A repair option has been added to Silos, allowing you to spend 100 Khina to restore 70 health points to a Silo. This option requires a unit next to the Silo to use it)
• 2 of the 4 Silos are now protected by a blocking element that must be destroyed to access the Silo construction.

Characters:
• Added two new units to the Shop: the Pirh Tank and the Pirh Engineer (see in-game Codex)
• Visual rework of the Tiwangi unit

Castes: The Castes interface has been improved: you can now see how many deployed units you have in each Caste. In addition, only castes with at least 1 unit deployed will appear.

Major Announcement: Free To Play Upcoming!

Hello to you strategists!

Noara: The Conspiracy has been in early access on Steam for 4 months now and we would like to thank our community for the constructive feedbacks we have received.
These have allowed us to make fixes, gameplay improvements and new features to bring an even more fun experience to our players.

The feedback from the community is not only about the gameplay but also about the business model. The "Free-To-Play" model has been suggested to us by many of you and even by some of the press.

After full consideration, this solution appeared to be the best for the future of the game. We therefore announce that as of March 17, 2022, Noara: The Conspiracy will see a major update with additions already announced in this news and will enter a new era by becoming Free-to-Play.

We've come up with some answers to questions you're probably already asking yourself:

1/ I bought the game, what do I get in return?
This path taken during these 4 months would obviously not have been possible without you who supported us. So do not worry, all the people who owned the game before the switch to Free to Play will get the Founder’s Pack content:
- An exclusive skin of King Akuyandi
- An exclusive portrait of King Akuyandi
- 3500 Sarme Coins to use in the in-game shop

2/ Will there be paid gameplay content?
For those who know us well, this solution is not in line with our vision of video games. Therefore, the answer is no. There will be no paid gameplay content. There wont be any form of pay-to-win in our game.

3/ If the game is free, how will you make money?
We believe that the Free-to-Play model is known by many players. There is no surprise that an in-game shop will appear on March 17th. The studio's artistic team has been working hard to bring you quality content in this shop. On this date, you will find 4 units skins, 6 portraits, and a whole bunch of other things that will be added in the coming months.

You probably have many other questions, and we invite you to ask them now in comments.

The whole Atypique Studio team thanks you for your support!

News Dev | Upcoming update

Hello everyone! The whole team hopes you are well and ready for a little reading.

As you know, the game started its early access 3 months ago. 3 months during which the team has continued to work hard to give you the best possible gaming experience.
Today we want to tell you about the current topics in our development, which will appear in the next few weeks in a major update of the game in March.

1. New units.

As planned on the roadmap, new units were scheduled for Q1 2022. These will be arriving shortly and include
- 3 new units that will boost the Kragh clan and increase the possible strategies.
- Also, 5 new Adalar units will be integrated in the 1v1 mode. This will give you a first idea of the possible strategies in the future.

2. New mechanics

We have identified a recurring problem with game length. Some games can be far too long.
The objective of the Game Design team during the last weeks has been to rework the objectives and the layout of the game mechanics in depth without touching the core gameplay.
We will then introduce the "Boosters" mechanic.
Boosters are upgrades you can choose to receive a bonus on some of your units. For example, you can choose between a statistic increase, a random legendary item for each player or 2 caste tomes.
The choices are of course random and the opposing team will not have the same choices as you. We believe that giving players more tools to turn an advantage into a victory will speed up the pace of the game while preserving the strategic dimension!

3. Balancing and patching

We continue to balance the game and fix the bugs we find, largely thanks to you. We take great care with every addition to the game to preserve this balance.

You know everything now, if you want to help us, write us your questions and comments about the game, it helps us much more than you might think
