Nothin' But Net

Nothin' But Net Demo Update (v1.0.7)

We've done some general improvements to Nothin' But Net that we wanted to port into the demo. This release also includes experimental support for the Oculus Rift and Touch devices. Bugs should be expected when using those devices. We will continue to push updates as we fine tune the behavior.

Version 1.0.7:

  1. Added experimental support for Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch controllers. The functionality generally works, but bugs will likely occur.
  2. Improved the physics when throwing overhand.
  3. General performance improvements.

Nothin' But Net Demo Update (v1.0.4)

We have been preparing Nothin' But Net for early access this month and thought that you might enjoy some of the smaller improvements that we have made. Thanks again for all of your feedback!

Version 1.0.4:

  1. Added support for near instant teleportation. This can be toggled on the menu.
  2. Increased the teleportation distance, making it easier to travel further.
  3. Added the ability to start the tutorial via the menu.
  4. Reduced the min/max back and front spin thresholds when shooting.
  5. Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the ball to lose momentum prematurely.

Nothin' But Net Demo Update

We recently had the pleasure of showing Nothin' But Net at PAX West 2016 and released a free demo. We were humbly surprised by the reception and received great feedback on ways we can improve the game. This past week has been spent incorporating much of the feedback into the full game and the demo.

Here's what we changed:

  • KB (Kevin Bot) has been outfitted with a projector. During the tutorial, he'll show videos on how to dribble and spin/balance the ball. We hope that this will help teach the mechanics better, but if not please let us know!
  • Made the overall tutorial easier to follow by adjusting the wording and visual notifications on the controller.
  • Added haptic feedback to the controller when dribbling the ball.
  • Corrected the ball spin direction when shooting to properly apply forward spin and back spin. The spin amount is relatively low, but can be adjusted via the "Spin Boost" setting.
  • Added more force when dribbling so you do not need to hit the ball quite as hard.
  • Reduced the force being applied when throwing the ball by default. This can be adjusted with the "Throw Boost" setting.
  • Fixed a bug with spinning and balancing the ball.

Thanks again for all of your wonderful feedback!
