We’re happy to announce to Nova Lands: Emilia’s Mission is now available on Steam!
Emilia’s Mission is the prologue of the main game. You take on the role of Emilia, an NPC character from Nova Lands. The prologue gives everyone interested in Nova Lands a nice feel of what the game is all about.
All the basic and a number of advanced mechanics are present for you to try at a slower pace. You can build your base, explore the islands and their biomes, set up automation with your handy bots, and loads more.
The game is entirely free to play, and we would be happy if you try it!

Devlog #2: Eye candy, even more eye candy, and a new publisher!
Hey guys, we hope you’re all doing well!
While the work the everything else continues as planned, we’d like to show your progress on the visuals! The idea is to make the world more alive and vibrant. See for yourself if that worked :)
Designing new tiles
First on the list was a texture for each biome to offset plain and flat colors we had before, in various shapes and forms:
Then, we made a tileset going on top of the texture for color variations to truly fill the landscapes of Nova with color:
To give the decorations more character, various flowers, rocks, and grass types are mixed into the tiles:
In the end, we’ve got a number of tiles crafted for each island type, each looking much more natural to its biome, instead of randomly scattered elements:
New tiles in motion
The last step is to put it all in motion. We won’t spend words covering that, just take a look for yourself!
Grasslands
Snow Island
Forest Island
Desert Island
Purple Island
Rock Island (groovy!)
Signing up with HypeTrain Digital
This sure was a tough decision to make, as we were approached by a whole number of publishers, all offering to take up Nova Lands and help our game become even better and more well-known.
We’ve decided that HypeTrain Digital is just the right fit, as they have a ton of experience with releasing indie titles all over the world. It’s not your soulless triple-A publisher, and just to assure you guys, our development roadmap is not affected in any way by signing up with HypeTrain Digital. They will be helping us with marketing, translations, platforms, and many other things, all the while we focus on the game itself—so that you can start playing the full release sooner!
Participation in PAX West
That's not all! Nova Lands will also participate in PAX West 2022, which begins today! What's more, you'll be able to see our brand new trailer and some more (secret!) stuff on the main PAX stream, on the 3rd of September, 12 pm PT.
And that’s all for now! Hope you enjoyed looking at what’s to come in Nova Lands, and more news coming soon!

Devlog #1: New artist, fixes, the game prologue: Emilia's Mission!
Hello hello, everybody!
Starting now, we’ll be publishing monthly dev posts and reporting the progress on Nova Lands! The development is picking up the pace even more now, and we want you to know what’s going on. Speaking of which…
We’ve hired a new artist!
Now, our team has an amazing artist, Lucas Lazora, who will be helping us with all things visual. With Lucas on our team, we can focus more on the development of Nova Lands and make sure the game is ready faster and is more polished as well! Here’s a little taste of what Lucas has been working on:
We wish we could share more but we want to avoid giving you even more spoilers. Be sure to feast your eyes on his Instagram, because we sure did! Welcome, Lucas!
Polishing, fixes, improvements
Naturally, our work continues in regards to the refinement of in-game systems, addressing bugs, and making sure the game is as enjoyable to play as possible. Big thanks to all of you who continue to submit bug reports—it’s tremendously helpful!
Just in case you find anything while playing the demo, do report your findings through the in-game form, please!
Nova Lands: Emilia’s Mission prologue is coming soon!
We’ve been hard at work not just fixing bugs and polishing the game, but also on the game prologue. As you can gather from the name, the prologue will be centered around Emilia’s arrival to the planet and introduce the players to in-game systems and automation at a more steady pace.
