There is no set schedule for posting videos. They will show up when we feel they are ready for an early showcase. These are leaning towards the "polished" side, rather than early works in progress. We have a few very old showcases, but please keep in mind, that they are severely outdated!

A staff member runs the TikTok account, so posting content is at his discretion. Spare me. That aside,
This is yet another place we post very short videos of mechanics that are in a functioning state. We've recently shown a vending machine that dispenses a consumable beverage. (Wow, shocking!)

Game FAQ!

#1 (Q) When will the game be playable?

(A) Well, that depends. There's no set date currently, but, during our ongoing development, we'd like to bring in some of our Discord members to participate in the closed testing period. If you've been lurking long enough, you probably heard that we're shooting for a Christmas 2023 target date. THIS IS NOT SET IN STONE. Just a target date, as we get asked at least daily when the game will drop.

#2 (Q) What is the game about?

(A) Surviving a hardcore zombie apocalypse. There are no second chances.

#3 (Q) What is the name of the game?

(A) We've settled on Diphtheria.

#4 (Q) What Engine are you developing with?

(A1) Unreal Engine 4.
(A2) We will NOT be porting to UE5 for the foreseeable future.

#5 (Q) What platforms are you releasing to?

(A) As of right now, we're focusing on PC's. We've certainly thought about porting to consoles, but that's saved for the future.

#6 (Q) How large is the map?

(A) Around 120+ km2. This could change. It may be larger, it may be smaller.

#7 (Q) Will there be base building?

(A) Absolutely. We're implementing several different mechanics to enhance your strongholds, be it building a camp in the woods, on a rooftop, or simply fortifying an old cabin. We've got you covered.

#8 (Q) Will there be weather effects?

(A) Yes. We'll feature sunshine, rain, storms, snow, overcast etc.

#9 (Q) Are there driveable vehicles?

(A) Indeed there is. They also aren't missing 90% of their parts! You can even use a recreational vehicle that features onboard storage, stove, refrigerator & a usable bed. Most vehicles also have several slots for attachable modifications such as additional storage or protection enhancements like grill guards.

#10 (Q) Are all AI hostile?

(A) God, no. That would suck. You can join several different factions in-game. In one character's life, you could be a loyal US soldier trying to restore order, or worse... A hungry cannibals prisoner. We're striving for a dynamic story with every character created.

#11 (Q) Is this even possible?

(A) Yep. It's more simple than ever to create games. Not saying it's a walk in the park, but down scaling our scope has lifted a lot of weight off of our shoulders. In addition to that, Not pushing multiplayer on launch will ease the players & our own suffering, not dealing with server issues / cheaters.

#12 (Q) Where does this game take place?

(A) Current day New York City USA & surrounding areas.

#13 (Q) How is development going?

(A) Well, we've had to completely rewrite the player character as well as completely overhaul the weapon handling + animations. It's taken a good chunk of time, though, we're now much closer to a proper release date & can offer much more complex mechanics to the players, in the future.
