I want to say a few words and also thank everyone who supported the development.
Obscura was not designed to be a game in the sense, so there is no quest, finish or end. I posted the text below in the forums, but it is probably good to have it here aswell. This experience shares a genre with the following apps and embraces VR as a new medium.
The Blu
Rick and Morty
Everest
Batman Arkham VR
If you like these and are a horror fan, that wants ultra high production values and comfort, you will most likely enjoy Obscura. If you are a hardcore gamer, expecting a hardcore game, frustration will eliminate every possibility of triggering fear inside the brain, which is sad, but not everyone can like every kind of art. And there is alot of room for diversity in VR. Not just for games.
Alot of thoughtful detail work went into Obscura, i know not many people care about small things, like having UI text rendering at a higher resolution than the rest etc. But you will notice these things when they are missing or when something just feels wrong. But in the end, all the details help to have an experience which can be enjoyed by everyone, even people who never used VR before.
I wish everyone alot of fun with Obscura, maybe you share the experience with your family/ friends and let them wear the mask to watch their reaction. Obscura is a must for every VR party. ːsteamhappyː
All the best.

RELEASE DATE
Obscura will be released on July 28, 2017
The development has progressed very good in the last few weeks. As an artist, there is a point when the project just feels finished, when the inspiration has been molded into something beyond words. And here we go with the release date.
Obscura does not intend to be a conventional game. Instead it is a more individual and passive experience in the likes of "theBlu" or "Everest-VR". And like those, Obscura fully embraces VR as it's own medium.
The humble goal is to be the definitive fear-and-jump-scare simulation in VR, with high comfort and polish, so you can focus on the atmosphere and scares, without worrying about motion sickness or complicated controls. Yet, there are a quite few things for you to find out, like how certain types of items work. And of course a good amount of lore.
I know some people might not like, that Obscura is not a "classic survival horror game", where you have a goal or can win, collect, run and shoot etc. I wanted to create a unique horror simulation, unlike anything else on the market, that does not follow the old rules. This is the inspiration i received and transformed into this very personal project. Made with alot of passion and fully self funded. I think VR is currently the right medium to express this kind of true artistic vision. And after over 15 years in the game-industry, it felt freeing not having to follow old design principles, but embracing something entirely new. :)
For fans of puristic horror and users that are in for a good thrill, Obscura is a (creepy)joy. Joining together with friends and watch each other get scared is very very fun and highly recommended.
I wish you alot of fun with Obscura and all the best. ːsteamhappyː
