Patch 1.5.6 [Wizard role]

New role: the wizard



The wizard is a role for attackers (prisoners/workers).
As a wizard, the item you have in your hand will be invisible to the guards. This offers more strategy in the game and gives you a new complementary role.

We have added 3 missions for the guardians on the Octotech map.
These missions are in two steps (1) and (2) to balance the new map.

- Pick up the rag and clean the statue.

Patch 1.5.2 [Octotech fixes]

Octotech


- The microphone used to reactivate during new games when it was muted, now it doesn't.
- A latency between the "sign" job and the victory existed when workers did not finish in time. This no longer happens.
- Job 1VS1 "puck game" could not be launched. Now you can have fun with it.
- In the "save the workers" scenario there were only warlyx to save, now it's more diverse.

Octobreak


- Optimized tile loading system to avoid going through ladders in the subterranean.

Lobby


- The mode was not accessible anymore, it is now possible to play it.

We thank you for the long wait, we were working a lot on the new Octotech map as well as some fixes that could affect the gameplay and its intuitiveness.


Octotech : New map



Our team is proud to share with you the Octotech map: a startup called Octotech that develops technological products including robots.

In this new map, the leaders (guards) are opposed to the workers (prisoners).
The leaders have a suit, the workers can come dressed as they wish.


You can admire the 3 floors, the stairs, the elevator that only the leaders can use.
Be careful, the 3 floors can at first give the impression that the map is huge, but unlike Octoberak the games are faster.



During the role announcements you will have a new loading page tailored to Octotech.



There are 5 scenarios




- Stealing works of art.


- Rescue workers (pick up 10 Octotech workers and release them outside).


- Build the cart and steal the gold bars from the safe.


- Find the evidence against the CEO and take it to the police officer outside


- Fleeing with the help of the helicopter.

Patch 1.5.0 [Medium update]

This patch focuses on important fixes that will improve the visual aspect of the game while also ironing out the final bugs that players may have encountered on the current map before tackling the new map.

Added two characters






Octocoins purchase price changes



The number of Octocoins (when a player buys them) has been increased, so that players can afford more content while anticipating the number of cosmetics to come


Report your problems in-game



Added a ticket system (in the settings) to allow players to share their bugs more easily and help us improve the game




Improved top & bottom between players


- Players could often step on each other (feet on head when one player was too high in relation to the other), which has been corrected to make the physical reaction between players (top & down) more realistic

Corrections


- The arrows in the direction of prisoner work or sabotage are displayed directly on the objects concerned (added on the sabotage flames)
- Arrows for prisoner work or sabotage are no longer blocked in the right direction
- The game parameters are no longer set by default each time the game is restarted
- Fixed code duplication in Rescue mode
- Fixed blocking in code when assembled in Rescue mode
- Fixed streamer mode not saving when player restarts the game
- Improved the readability of the role explanation text (by moving animated elements) that appears before starting the game
- The kick/ban button is added in the in-game settings, previously it was only available in the lobby settings
- Ranking management: all players should appear even if they have 0 points, which was not the case before
- Fixed issues with the underground, players in the underground could sometimes see players on the floor above
- The handcuff icon that appears above the prisoner's head during prisoner work no longer appears when he is invincible or imprisoned
- Improved blocking to avoid potential unlimited skins purchases

Patch 1.4.9 [Medium update]

In order to make the game more intuitive, we have reworked many visual points but also and especially the microphone part which should allow the players to be totally immersed in the gameplay


Lobby



- Fixed the position of the players when you join the lobby (previously they appeared randomly on a wall, outside the room...)
- It is now possible to switch pages with your "left" and "right" keys for champions and tricks
- It is possible to click on the dots (below the tips) to access the different slides more quickly
- When a player mutates, a red bubble with a strikethrough appears to avoid misunderstandings about microphone problems
- Improvement of the overlay of the "settings" button when they are open
- The duration of sabotage is now by default 40 seconds
- The duration of prisoner's work is now by default 55 seconds


Octobreak



- When a player is immobilized, he cannot use his headbutt, his whistle etc... on the other players
- A counter is displayed on the whistle to understand when it is usable again
- Mission shots on target: only the balls that hit the yellow zone do not disappear from the target
- The role of the goalkeeper is displayed on his notes
- When a player is sent to the cell, a counter is displayed above his head to know how long he will stay there
- The quality of the top/down barrels has been improved, players can now pass in front/behind
- If the prisoners' job is to go to the visiting room then now it is displayed "ALL prisoners must go to the visiting room".
- A priority system has been added to the items, especially in the prisoners' jobs, in order to drop the items more easily
- The player can no longer block himself when opening the prison board (with the scribe role)
- The opening of the carpentry and parlor boards through the wall is no longer possible
- Scenario stealing money: the brute can now pick up the money in the safe
- Scenario explode walls: both components of the C4 are visible in one step instead of two steps to make this scenario more fluid
- Acid scenario : the barrel now disappears after making the acid
- Acid scenario : the final acid has been enlarged to make it easier to see in the hand or on the ground
- The "baton" key is gone (it was confusing) and has been replaced by the "handcuffs" key to put prisoners in cells
- Players in the underground will no longer see the rat's tail or batons moving to the upper floor
- The arrow system for the prisoner's work is now more readable, it shows the object to work with
- When a player picks up a code, he now sees a line on his minimap that links directly to the corresponding door


Rescue



- The door between the cells and the guardian zone has been improved (better collider management)
- When players deactivate nicknames, they can see it in real time in the lobby


Fixes



- Microphone management and quality have been significantly improved to ensure an optimal game experience
- Code before entering the lobby: the word disappears as soon as you click on the "code" button
- Default movement keys have been changed to Z, Q, S, D
- The volume of the fire sabotage has been lowered
- The sound setting gauge has been improved
- Collider bank : you can stand behind the power source of the printers
- Collider balloons in the park
- Collider door that separates the cells from the guards' area

Patch 1.4.8 [Medium update]

Over the course of the week we have made a salvo of major bug fixes.
In addition, the game is even more accessible for beginners with visual aids.


Beginner mode



- Beginner mode is enabled by default in the game settings, but it can also be disabled



- Beginner mode allows all prisoners to have scout vision, i.e. they can see the clues on the minimap: "1" and "2"
- An aura has been added around the "1" and "2" to better understand how important they are, but also to have a faster visual access



- Arrows appear on the screen to indicate when an important event is happening: prisoner work or sabotage



- To facilitate visibility, when clicking on a door on the minimap, the key is displayed and a line connects the two
- When a player clicks on a door, the key is displayed, even if he clicks several times on the same door, the key does not disappear anymore, which was the case before


Octoberak



- The player can block in the wall, when using the cell board (as a prisoner): was Scribe (the screen remained blocked on the board)
- Prisoners can no longer steal garbage cans


Rescue



- Problem head director on minimap
- Bonus problem remaining above the head and no longer allows to interact
- By clicking on "default" when rescue mode is activated, the basic settings can be reset

Lobby



- The player no longer hears himself running endlessly when in a menu
- When entering the lobby, sometimes players could only see the nickname and shadow of others;
- When joining the lobby, sometimes players could only see the nickname and shadow of others, this has been fixed.
- When joining the lobby, players often saw others outside the lobby or on the roof, this has been fixed
- To change the page in the selection of champions or tips, the player can now use the arrows
- The spaced button used to start the game when you were the host, this is no longer the case
- The "default" button that reset the game settings only worked on the escape mode, it now also works on the rescue mode
