We are excited to share the news, that OddBallers is returning with a new public ALPHA! ːTrophy2ː

OddBallers is part of the Digital Dragons indie showcase and will be playable next week (15-18th).
Camera no longer acts weird after playing a full round.
The actual winner gets the podium position
Lawnmower is a bit easier to control
Added some things:
Improved how controllers are recognized (The game will prompt you for controllers if it's in doubt)
Improved keyboard support a bit (Keyboard is still not recommended and not fully supported, but it works. Left/Right mouse button to interact with in-game menus)
Probably added in some fresh bugs. Please report away if you find any of them, it's a big help.
Thanks to everyone who reported bugs. It makes my job a whole lot easier. ːsteamhappyː

ABOUT ODDBALLERS ALPHA
As you might have guessed, alpha means the game is still in development. The game is playable, but it's rough and unpolished, light on content and contains bugs.
This is why we kindly ask you to provide feedback about your experience and issues. That way, we can learn about the problems so we can fix them and make the game better in the future.
BUGS Please use the in-game report feature to submit the bugs you encounter. To do this, choose 'report bug' from the main or ESC menu and write a few lines about the steps that let to the incident.
FEEDBACK & SUGGESTIONS
For general feedback and suggestions, either use the dedicated forum or our Discord server.
Thanks.
SCOPE OF THE DEMO
Because OddBallers is work in progress, there are some limitations on the ALPHA DEMO compared to the final game.
CONTROLLERS: The OddBallers ALPHA DEMO require use of one or more game controllers. Most popular brands should be supported. We can confirm Xbox and PlayStation controllers work.
CONTENT: The content of OddBallers ALPHA DEMO is restricted to one environment (Farm) and a limited selection of game modes and mutators.
PLAYERS: The maximum amount of players is limited to 4 in the ALPHA DEMO compared to 6 in the finished game.
CHAT: The only means of communication supported in-game are emojis that can be triggered with the right analog stick. We encourage players to use the Discord server or Steam's voice chat for communication.
For those who might be interested in following the development and learning more about the future of OddBallers, we encourage you to join us on Discord or one of our other channels.
See you all soon!
Best,
Martin Sommer Producer

COMMUNITY WORKSHOP: LET'S MAKE A NEW MUTATOR!
Hi, we need your help!
We didn't have time to make nearly enough mutators before Steam Game Festival so we are planning an event where we can make a new one in collaboration with YOU.
Pitch your ideas for awesome mutators and we'll put the best (or worst, if they are really funny) into the game for the rest of the festival.
Maybe pushing should be 10x stronger and cause stun? Or perhaps chickens should explode?
You must submit your mutator ideas on the forum or Discord before the workshop starts and we will review the submissions... If you don't, the stream will be 2 hours of live bug fixing.
See you soon!

ANNOUNCING ODDBALLERS PUBLIC ALPHA TEST!
Hi Steam friends!
We are thrilled to announce OddBallers PUBLIC ALPHA is happening next week, as part of the Steam Game Festival. This means you will be able to try OddBallers really soon!
The Steam Game Festival is running June 9th – 14th and is an event where developers with upcoming games, out of the goodness of their hearts (and a seemingly limitless obsession with wishlisting) share playable versions of their works for YOU to enjoy.
The alpha is running throughout the festival and all you need to do to participate is download the FREE demo from the OddBallers store page when the link becomes available at the start of the event.
This is a great chance to get an early preview of what you can expect from OddBallers, and an awesome opportunity for us to learn what we should focus on when we continue development to make the game better.

For those who are extra curios, we are also planning a couple of fun events where we will socialize with the community, answer questions, take suggestions, or just hang out.
We will be back with more info about this next week.
Have a great weekend!
Best,
-Martin
OddBallers - New Trailer and Upcoming ALPHA!
Hi! It's been a little while, so we are happy to be back with some really exciting news!
Development is going well and we are slowly preparing to get OddBallers into more hands with some good ol' testing. This will allow YOU to try the game very, very early, and us to discover just how many places it's still broken. ːsteamfacepalmː ...but then our programmer Martin can fix it, so it's a win-win. ːsteamhappyː
If you are not already hyped for public alpha, we are happy to share this new, action-packed gameplay trailer. Players who remember us from Stikbold!, may notice we've made some changes to the format that is really going to spice things up! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCf-_V6xO8w
It is still a little too early to announce a date or specific details about the alpha yet, so if you are looking to get involved, hit the 'sign up' link to subscribe to our email list. We'll deliver news and updates about development, alpha, beta and Early Access directly to your inbox.
We'll be back again with more updates soon. Until then, we'd love to hear what you think about the trailer!
Cheers,

Propane tricks - OddBallers
Hiya!
Back from holiday, getting ready for Gamescom next week.
We have a new farm-themed environment in progress and wanted to share this radical highlight from last week's playtest.
Player-operated lawn mowers, throwable poultry and wild-flying propane tanks - new levels are turning out to be FIRE!
It's been awhile since last OddBallers update, so it's time to check back and let you know what we've been up to. ːsteamhappyː
After our first few external playtests, we had a bunch of new ideas and inspiration - so we've spent the last few weeks prototyping some of these to see how they worked.
We have been playing around with some really exciting things like new game modes and throwables with unique behaviors to deal with specific situations -like flushing out players behind cover.
We've also made a system of triggers, switches and spawners to build logic for more dynamic and interactive levels.
Finally, we have been experimenting with a new mechanic that has quickly become an internal favorite. Players can now grab and hold onto certain objects and environment, allowing for new ways to interact with the levels.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_pkx3TyxUQ&feature=youtu.be
We think there is amazing potential for hilarious disasters and playful ways to engage opponents, and we are eager to see if players will be able to use this in creative ways to execute emergent and surprising strategies.
What do you think?
Let us know if you have any exciting ideas for this, and we may try it out!
