We would like to inform you that we will be transitioning Of Carrots And Blood from a paid game to a completely free-to-play experience. This change will take place in the coming weeks.
You may be curious as to why we made this decision. Unfortunately, as announced in 2021, circumstances beyond our control have led to the difficult decision of closing the doors of Trite Games. It has been an incredible journey for us, filled with passion, dedication, and a desire to create unforgettable gaming experiences. We sincerely apologize for any disappointment this news may cause. However, by transitioning Of Carrots And Blood to free-to-play, we want to ensure that our legacy lives on, enabling players to continue enjoying our game for years to come.

A Final Sale (-61%)
we were really moved by all of your positive reactions to the closing of Trite Games, thank you so much to everyone who commented on the previous post and left something positive there.
As many of you requested, we launched a final sale for Of Carrots And Blood that will run for 7 days starting from today with as low of a price as we were able to request on Steam. We hope that you all enjoy the game further and we loved to see, that many of you have picked it up and played again.

Trite Games closing gates
We sadly have to announce, that we have to close the gates to our little indie games company Trite Games.
To give you some background info: We were two friends who tried to make games for people to enjoy. That went great for a while and it has been a truly uplifting, inspiring and an overall fun journey. We are very grateful to having finished a game not only as a hobby project, but as a commercial product for people to officially buy and play. But things didn't go as planned from there. Finishing Of Carrots And Blood took a toll on us. We crunched and worked overtime and once we released the game on Steam, all our energy and motivation was gone and our hearts were broken. We wanted to support the game and started working on content updates, but after this energy draining experience and with a changing of life situations around family, friends and finances, we had to make a hard decision. We would only be able to work on games in our free time now besides our full time jobs and other responsibilities. We tried, but it is not a lifestyle we can continue without sacrificing our health and without neglecting people and other aspects in our lives that are dear to us.
Following this we will unfortunately have to take down our game Of Carrots And Blood from the Steam store, as we will not be a legal entity anymore and can't support the product or work on possible updates. This means that it will no longer be possible to purchase the game here.
Those of you who bought the game already will still be able to play it as long as you like and redownload the game of course, in case you uninstalled it after a while.
After our contract ends with Steam, those functionalities will be in the hands of Valve and how they are handling games in their library without active developer support. We really hope for you to enjoy Of Carrots And Blood further.
Our plan is to upload Of Carrots And Blood on other platforms like itch.io for free at some point in the future. But that will be a decision for another day and we will try to keep you updated, if and when further steps are being taken by us. We will also let you know, in case we will be creating another fun game to play some day :)
