On Your Hands Update Released

An update to On Your Hands has been released, version 1.12. The update should be applied automatically when you restart On Your Hands. The major changes include:


  • Various: Controller can now skip computer scrolls and death/intro screens
  • Various: Glasses state should persist more consistently upon loading a save
  • Various: Flashlight state should now be preserved upon loading a checkpoint
  • Various: Fixed a bug where some books would be translated into alien text after turning a page
  • Map00: Added save/load splash screen that displays on first run
  • Map00: Modified warning splash screen
  • Map00: Added Credits Menu
  • Map02: Bridge physics are far less finicky
  • Map04: Fixed a bug that'd allow players to teleport on top of pipes in the pipe hallway
  • Map04: Fixed a bug where players could sacrifice the Wanderer in the Junk Room multiple times
  • Map05: Wanderers now look at the player properly
  • Map05: Placed Wanderer corpses now have eyes closed
  • Map06: Inserting the battery will now make it persist until the save slot is deleted
  • Map10: Screen now shakes after activating spaceship

  • Settings: Addressed issues with keybinds not persisting
  • Settings: Addressed an issue with keybinds not taking effect until one changes level
  • Settings: Addressed a bug with keybinds reseting on game reset
  • Settings: Added "Screen Shake" toggle accessibility option
  • Settings: Added "View Bob" toggle accessiblity option
  • Settings: Increased maximum on sensitivity sliders from 2x to 4x
  • Settings: Unlinked Mouse and Controller sensitivity
  • Settings: "Use Native Resolution" should now work properly
  • Settings: Further adjustments to sound mixing
  • Settings: Keybinds now have tooltips
  • Settings: Stats menu now has a remappable keybind, and controller mapping

On Your Hands Day 2 Patch

An update to On Your Hands has been released, version 1.10. The update should be applied automatically when you restart On Your Hands. The major changes include:

-Various: Added 'reset level' menu option
-Various: Console password will now persist until it's changed
-Various: Added sounds to activate switches
-Map05: Fixed an issue where the player could save/harvest a Wanderer, save, load a checkpoint, and then go back and save/harvest that Wanderer again
-Map05: Added animation to terminals in wire room
-Map05: Changed machine ambient noise
-Map08: Updated Ice Magic splat decal
-Map08: Fixed an issue where the positioning of the button in lurker research allowed the player to very easily cheese the puzzle
-Map10: Updated Ice Magic splat decals

-Map04: Location description added to codex
-Map05: Location description added to codex
-Map05: "On Wanderers" Entry added to computer at end of hatch
-Map06: Location description added to codex
Note: Players may need to travel the relevant map once to unlock location description

-Map01: Voiceover added for intro text crawl
-Various: Death screen voice-over added

This will be the last patch pending a week long break on the part of the development team, barring an emergency.

On Your Hands Day 1 Patch

An update to On Your Hands has been released, version 1.8. The update should be applied automatically when you restart On Your Hands. The major changes include:


  • MAP00: Intro screen can now be skipped
  • MAP00: Intro screen will no longer play on return to menu
  • MAP00: Added a version number to the bottom left corner for ease of debugging and bug reporting
  • MAP01: Glasses are now picked up automatically
  • MAP01: Intro text can now be skipped through
  • MAP01: Addressed an issue where playing through the level too fast might cause lines to play in an odd order
  • MAP02: Fixed an exploit where you could skip to the final checkpoint by shooting purple magic at the tall spiral pillar
  • MAP03: Fixed an issue where subtitles played too fast
  • MAP04: Fixed an issue where subtitles displayed as a single block
  • MAP05: Various issues with Wanderers getting to where they need to be, and saving/loading, have been addressed
  • MAP05: Improved performance in wire puzzle room
  • MAP05: Wanderers will now be alseep in their capsules prior to be released
  • MAP05: Added force field to entrace of temporary platform puzzle
  • MAP06: Added a hole in the fence at the construction site
  • MAP06: Construction Bot should no longer get stuck if you raise a pillar while he goes over it
  • MAP06: Fixed an issue with clipping text
  • MAP06: Players are now disallowed from teleporting on top of the Oobl Statue
  • MAP06: Changed pillars in Construction Bot puzzle to be static if they aren't necessary to be toggled
  • MAP07: Removed a tutorial book in the library
  • MAP07: If a player gets themselves stuck in the left side cathedral puzzle, both doors will now reopen upon finishing the puzzle
  • MAP08: Ice Trap collision improved to be more generous
  • MAP10: Falling out of the spaceship now has a unique death message
  • Various: Cut an old behavior where players could throw boxes with Indigo Magic
  • Various: Magic entries on codex now appear in proper place
  • Various: Drowning now has a sound associated
  • Various: Spelchecking

On Your Hands Finalized Demo

On Your Hands has been updated. The changes include:

-Added full controller support!
-Completely remade all textures
-Completely redid environment art for Map07, 08, and 09
-Expanded upon writing and worldbuilding
-Completely redesigned Menu and some UI visuals
-removed flashlight breaking mechanic in map08
-added magic particle and visual effects
-added some new models for certain objects
-lost our can of Lurker Repellent
-made touchups to some puzzles in Map07 and Map09
-improved sound implementation
-smoothed camera look
-fixed an uncountable number of bugs

Hotfix 1.02

-Fixed a nasty bug where the Grinder wouldn't reach the player properly
-Yeah that's it :)

On Your Hands v1.01 Hotfix

-Fixed a bug where the "Click arrows" message would display over the brightness screen
-Fixed a bug where data logs wouldn't close properly if used multiple times
-Added a password to the console
-Restored Post-Processing filters onto main menu screen
-Fixed certain ambient tracks being put on the sound mix instead of the music mix (more audio classes coming soon!)
-Fixed a couple of button indicators being in weird positions
-Fixed the glasses overlap to be impossible to miss on Map08

Known Issues:
-It's currently impossible to scroll through the console responses
-Clicking on the console output section causes it to lock up; press tab until a typing indicator appears on the input line to exit
-Lots of visual optimizations for the settings screen to come
