Although I haven't finished at all everything that we wanted to add in this 0.14a update, I think it's time to upload it and let you enjoy fixes and new content added so far.
So, what's new? Take a look to the changelog!
- Added new item: Zombie Bait (as a throwing "weapon")
- New zombie animation: coming from underground
- Added the architecture version you are currently running (64 or 32bits)
- Added new glow effect support
- Zombie bait can be broken into the ground to make zombies spawn around
- Solved a bug causing arrows colliding with an "invisible wall" while lying
- Added an option to the main menu "Camera sensitivy". You can tweak how fast you can move the character's camera (mouse sensivity)
- Added another option to the main menu allowing you to invert this camera movement in X and Y axes
- New account coin system added
- Coins added to the game, you will be able to collect them by doing various tasks. Account linked.
- Item material finally activated: leather
- New item material added: bone
- New recipe added: bone dust (1 bone + 1 leather + 1 stone)
- New item material added: bone dust
- New recipe added: zombie bait (2 bone dust + 1 water bottle + 5 seed)
- Some item descriptions have been changed
- Increased zombie limit per map
Boring? Yeah well, let me explain you a bit what's new and what's coming next. First, as you may know, now you can craft some Zombie baits.
These are like throwing weapons (like molotov cocktails) and when it crashes, some zombies will come around the spot from the underground.
Zombie baits
Crafting this may you require to do some researching. This is where we added a couple of new materials: bones and bone dust!
Bones are collected from skeletons as you may know. To craft a zombie bait, first you need to craft bone dust. This is the recipe:
1 Stone + 1 Bone + 1 Leather = 1 Bone dust
Leather can be obtained by killing rabbits and boars or you can find it also by breaking skeletons.
Once you have the dust ready, you need this to craft a fully working zombie bait
1 glass water + 5 seeds + 2 bone dust = 1 zombie bait
How to get water? How to get seeds? I wonder how to...
Yeah, of couse I know how to get them, but I'm really wicked muwhaha!
Coins
Too much work? Don't worry, we have added coins. Right now you can't use them but you can collect them. Wondering when you will be able to use them? Really soon, at this moment, we are making a new store and interface system, so it won't take too long! That's because we are letting you to collect coins from now.
They are shared between your characters (account linked), so don't worry if you loose your character by accident or want to delete it.
Options, and more coming
We want to improve the user experience, and the best way to do it is by listening to you. By demand we have added some new options to the main menu, however we're adding even more to improve your game experience.
This update is making its way to Steam right now, so you should be able to get it soon, just be patient, it will take a while =)
Now time to get back to work, you can't imagine how many things we have to add to the game!
Note: this update contains some fixes and performance tweaks that are not showing since it's very specific. Other updates and fixes required or suggested by users are right now under development and they will be out as soon as possible!
Note 2: if you have an item called "fine leather" or "superb leather", drop it, it's not used and probably it won't be used. These drops have been replaced by "Leather".

Are you enjoying the game so far? Well, there's a lot more coming! Be prepared.
Now I'll talk about what's coming on this next update and later.
Commerce system
You have chosen and we did too, so first the system will be in-game driven.
On the very next update you won't be able to access stores yet, but you can collect coins already. These coins are account linked so don't worry if you loose your character or your map, you will keep them always.
How do you get coins so far? Every enemy you kill will drop a random ammount of coins in the ground. These coins are not usual items and you only need to walk over them to catch them. Coins will only drop if you made some direct damage to your enemy, so if a zombie gets killed by a lightning, it won't drop any coin.
Edit.: you will be able to collect these coins by breaking boxes and skeletons too!
And what's next? (on next updates) We want to add two kind of stores, the first one is using your antenna, you will be able to buy items by using it. It will have a random list of items that will be updated every day (in-game time).
The second one it's making world stores with NPC vendors. These vendors will be inside a cabin and you won't be able to steal them. Every vendor may have different items, but they will keep the same list.
Baits and NPC spawn control
Some of you have seen that sometimes NPC's are quite expanded around the map, and you need to walk a lot until you find a group of zombies (they were on party).
So I've created the very first game's bait! The Zombie Bait!
You will be able to craft these bottles and then you can use them as a throwing weapon, like a molotov cocktail. When it breaks, a random number of zombies will spawn around the spot, coming from the underground.
This will be available on the next update coming soon!
So this is a starting bait, we want to add more baits so you can camp and hunt creatures you want.

First of all, I would like to thank you all for your big support.
One Last Day it's a hard game to code by only one person and most of you understand the hard work that has to be done. For your support I'll keep working hard to give you the game that you deserve.
Now, I have a question for all of you and you can answer me in the comments below.
Which commerce system do you think would be cooler?
- Player driven system Players could be able to post their items in an external market so everyone else can buy them. Something like an auction house for everyone.
- In-game driven system Just like any game, you will get coins inside your game, and you can spend it in some special vendors.
- Both! As this might take some hard work and time, it can be done, but which one do you prefer first?

Let's see what's coming
I'm taking a coding-break, I need some brainy breathing.
Since all of you are playing the game now it is working I want to talk about what are you playing now and what are you going to find next.
Performance, bug fixes
This is a big priority. You need to be able to play, even if this is an Early Access and you know it, you must be able to play it!
There are minor bugs (something goes wrong just for a moment or a little invisible triangle on the terrain), these bug are going to be fixed, but it's not a priority. Then, there are main bugs and problems, like not able to start the game, continuous crashing and so. These bugs are our main priority of work, we need a stable base to work with.
Enemies? Yes, but what about if your enemy is the whole world?
This world is really dangerous. When we have a story mode available you will find exactly why, but in the meanwhile, you can experience it.
Right now you need to be aware of acid rain, big falls, zombies, starving and if you play multiplayer, other players.
So what can you expect next? - Caves are quite relaxing, right? Well, don't get too comfortable, there will be dangerous gases that might be toxic or even explosive.
- What about this old civilization? They left some mines on the terrain! Watch your step.
- Don't bother a boar or it will kick your pretty ːsteamhappyːss
- Enjoying a relaxing walk into the old ruins and the forest? What if a group of zombies came from the underground? Better be ready.
Inventory and character redesign
Since a few weeks we're redesigning these two things, and we need a bit more. We want to improve the way the player can interact and progress, we don't like the current tablet. It will be still a "tablet" view, but the interface will be much more comfortable.
Well, now I need to get back to work! Have an idea? Post it in the comments!

Some user are still experiencing problems when creating a new game.
I do apologize for this, I understand you have paid for a game and you want to play it, if I was you, I would be angry too.
So I'll be fully working for the next hours in the game to get everything working.
Since I'm the only one here, you might not see me around the Discussion Forums for a while, I'll be working and coding hard.
If you find anything else about the game than the loading screen, please report it at the discussion forums.

Another fix update
Yay, let's get this working for everyone, please!
This is another update with some fixes and tweaks that should get your game working.
If not, at least you will be able to see where the generation is stuck and report.
- There's a small text indicator in the loading screen that will keep you informed about the current progress of the generation.
- Also I've changed the player spawn, so it will be looking for a spawn point, but if is not possible to spawn there, it will find another spot.
- There was a bug breaking map data and trying to load it may cause the game to get stuck and collapse your system. Now if this happens it should kick you out to the main menu to avoid stuck. Then, delete that map!
There are other minor fixes that should be improving performance in loading / map generation.
This update will be available on the next minutes, keep the game updated!

Some of you are having problems with map loading.
I've updated and fixed some things and it should be working now, however this is important.
If you had problems with a map, delete it and generate a new one!

There was a problem that was breaking the map files and making the game stuck, also the whole system. Delete these maps and it will be gone.
If loading screen persist, please report it so I can keep working on it!
Note.: we've seen that some user are experiencing problems with really big maps, I recommend not changing the values on first map generation while I keep working on this.

Quick fix update
Hi!
First of all we want to thank you all for your support by buying the game and giving your feedback, this is awesome!
Keep in mind that what you are playing now it's just a little part of what we are doing for the finished game.
So, before I go to get some sleep and rest I'll upload a quick fix update.
- Stuck loading screen solved. Your game should load now.
- Added a visible range option in main menu. Reducing the visible range will reduce the range that the terrain is generated. This will increase performance a lot but might make the game look worse.
- Solved a bug causing mouse cursor to be hidden when your character dies.
Note: update available in a few minutes
This week we're going to fix everything you find and make the game stable, next week we'll keep adding new content!
Oh, and Paranoid Tom, congrats, your building has been approved and everyone is able to use it now, you are the first ^^
