One Troll Army

New game from the One Troll Army developer

Greetings, Troll brethren!

It’s been a while since we smashed and kicked hundreds of minions as one big army! We have an excuse, though: we’ve been busy working on a new game that we plan to release early next year, and we would like to welcome you all to our community. The game we’re making is called Decision: Red Daze, and it’s an explosive mix of action RPG, tower defense, and survival mechanics, with its own history.

It’s the fourth title in the Decision series, which started as a Flash game and became a cult classic with a passionate community behind it. However, you don’t need to play the previous Decision games to enjoy Red Daze!

In the game, you play as the leader of a group of survivors in an apocalyptic wasteland. You all are trying to survive in the Dust Bowl, a desert region where extreme heat and sand storms have turned an illness of unknown origins into an airborne disease — the Red Daze. You have to manage your group of survivors to make the most out of their skills and strengths, as well as build defenses to fend off the infected, commonly known as zombies and mutants.

Here’s the fun part — while in One Troll Army, you just smash and stomp minions, in this game you can make use of a HUGE variety of weapons. From baseball bats to handguns, from flamethrowers to missile launchers, all used to absolutely DEMOLISH your enemies in the most satisfying of ways, but you’ll still need to use your strategic brain to upgrade and defend your camp, rescue survivors, and choose the suitable person for each opportunity.

Wishlist the game on Steam, shoot, loot, and clean the earth, one zombie at a time!

v1.03: Chat can now control armies! Balancing fixes and more

The latest update adds the ability for twitch chat to control a group of enemies. This looks extremely cool in small chats, when you have 5-10 people controlling groups of enemies, all dressed in the same costumes.

  • Added twitch army control
  • Tweaked the Survival Achievement to be 20 waves instead of 30
  • Tweaked the balance
  • Tweaked the wave spawner
  • Lots of small bug fixes, thanks for reporting these!

Enjoy! :)

v1.02: Survival mode fixes, sandbox mode, bug fixes

Hey everyone! v1.02 of One Troll Army is now available, woo!

We noticed an odd issue that somehow automatically added the DLC into people's shopping carts. It had something to do with the Steam overlay being called, and it's no longer happening. Apologies to anyone who this happened to! Wasn't intended.

- Fixed the bug when a cutscene would sometimes not play at the end of a fort battle
- Removed the DLC adding bug
- Survival is now endless
- A steam achievement and counter for the most waves survived
- You can now die in Survival only once
- ESC now closes all open windows instead of popping up the menu
- For twitch integration, the best player of wave 1 gets a guaranteed spot in wave 2, it rewards to be the best player
- Fixed the achievement tied to number of kills
- Various GUI tidy-upness

Keep on trollin!

Update: dancing and bug-fixes!

The first post-launch update for One Troll Army adds dancing to DLC owners (you're awesome!) and fixed a whole bunch of issues.

Let us know what you think!

- Dance buttons for DLC owners added
- Fixed a bug where the Surrender button doesn't appear
- Rebalanced merc-orcs of level 2 and 3, they're now cheaper
- Fixed a rare issue when in the tutorial the game wouldn't respond
- Merc-orcs now appear on the second fort after beating the first fort
- Fixed a bug when waves wouldn't start
- Improved Troll behavior when collecting loot
- You can now skip the splash screens

Enjoy the game :)

It's official! One Troll Army will be free

During today's stream we fought for 5 full hours, and eventually the Twitch chat won. Well played.

We are releasing One Troll Army for free. Tomorrow!

Streamers are getting keys tonight. The retail version has full twitch integration as seen in the stream.

VODs are available here: https://www.twitch.tv/tinybuild/profile

If Twitch Chat beats us in One Troll Army, we'll make it free

So here's the deal everyone. Last time we put something into the hands of Twitch, they beat Punch Club in 36 hours. That's all funny and whatnot, but this time we're throwing a real challenge your way.

Can Twitch Chat beat us in One Troll Army? If they can, the game's price will drop to $0.

Tomorrow from 9am CEST (12pm/midnight PST), we will be playing One Troll Army on http://twitch.tv/tinyBuild for 8 hours straight.

- Every time the chat wins, the game's price drops
- Every time the enemies hit the fort, the price drops
- If it hits $0, we release it for free
- If it stays above $0, we will match it with the closest price at that point

The obvious question is, would we allow the game to drop to $0? Answer is yes, we would.

In that case we at tinyBuild will eat the full cost of developing One Troll Army, seeking absolutely no profit. I always wanted to give back to the community, and this is a way of doing so. We were fortunate, so let's do something fun!

Regardless of the price, there will be a $2 DLC pack that just adds funny skins to your troll. We believe if the game drops to $0, and people really like it, they can thank us by buying that DLC pack.

Can you beat us?
