Oneirogen

Goodbye Oneirogen

I built Oneirogen in the early years of VR and learned a lot through the process. While I'm proud of my little game, a lot has changed in VR development and parts of the game (such as locomotion) do not hold up to the standards of today's VR games. I simply do not have the time or money to rebuild the game from scratch. But I'm working on a new project titled Isle of Pan, which carries the spirit of Oneirogen into a experience much more polished and grander than Oneirogen ever was.

Those who owned Oneirogen before this update, feel free to reach out to me with proof you owned it before this update and I'll send you a key for Isle of Pan at launch. Contact me here with a link to your steam profile: https://dogu.studio/contact

Thank you to everyone that played the game and I hope you'll join me as I continue to explore the awesome medium of Virtual Reality.

Owners of the game have until April to download it.

Leaving Early Access

I'm happy to announce we have left Early Access. The build is stable and the assets are ironed out. I will continue to support any major problems (please write me if you have any!), but I felt it was important to focus on a bigger and more sophisticated VR project. That's where my heart is. Follow us on Twitter @dogustudio for updates. If you believe there should be more weird and positive VR experiences, spread the word about Oneirogen and our studio.

New Year Patch Notes

Deleted artificial boundary and added smooth fade out instead.

Added locomotion to both hands. (Press down on thumbstick/pad). You can go faster if you use both.

Haptic feedback now works on both Oculus and Vive. Hit those cosmic shuttlecocks!

Tweaked bow and arrow.

Added instructions in the menu room to make it easier for new players.

Fixed game breaking bug in one of the last levels. (Sorry!)

Various little cosmetic changes. Check out the shields in the fireworks minigame.

Holiday Update

Hi everyone! First off I want to say thank you for the wonderful support we've had in the months following the release of Oneirogen. I know its a peculiar project but most of you guys seem to get it and accept it for what it is. I'd also like to apologize for the lack of updates. Life threw me a curveball and ... well... lets just say I haven't had a workspace in 6 months as I've dealt with some heavy matters. But I'm back now! I'd love to update and improve on Oneirogen while continuing a new larger project. My intention is to keep the scope small and add general refinements and optimization rather than new levels which may make me rethink the pricing. Please send reports if it crashes or specific things don't work. Thank you to everyone who left a review so far, and please be specific with things that don't work for you (or you just dislike) so I can address them. My number one priority right now is changing out the artificial chaperone and tweaking the limited locomotion.
Peace & Love

Tips and First Update

Remember if you need locomotion just push down on the left joystick/pad. Its designed for room scale movement so locomotion is limited and slow!

Don't forget to collect the hidden figures in the world to unlock minigames that show up in the title room. Other figures will add options for building your sculpture and change some aesthetics of that playthrough.

There is more than one way through, it requires least two playthroughs to see every level.

Have fun and take your time.

Minor Update List
-added a glass floor in the universe level to make it more comfortable for people terrified of heights
-added timer to badminton shape level
-tweaked static arrow physics
