Hey all, I forgot to update the wasteland monsters' art style when I uploaded the v1.7.0 patch yesterday. That's now been fixed.
Oneons v1.7.0: huge graphical overhaul!
Hey all,
After looking at the Oneons game, I realized I was extremely unhappy with the quality of the graphics. It's hard to believe how much my pixel-art skills have changed in two years.
So, I set out to revamp the game entirely. I updated almost all the graphics: monsters, tiles, items, and the UI. As part of this, I decided to revamp the game and make dungeons more than twice as big. Oneons is supposed to be a difficult, brutally hard and strategic game; and while the addition of heal in 1.6.0 made the game significantly easier, the game is now back to being quite difficult, as intended.
I hope you will all enjoy the updates as much as I enjoyed working on it! If you have any feedback, please drop me a comment here or on Discord.
Thanks for playing!
Oneons v1.6.1: bug-fix
Thanks to all our new and returning players for providing feedback on Oneons v1.6.1! One player pointed out a small bug fix that just I couldn't resist fixing: monster health bars!
Starting in v1.6.1, monster health bars now decrease according to their remaining health. (The numerical display of their health was always correct.)

Oneons is now Free!
I am honestly very thankful and humble for the support around Oneons. In one year of launching my first ever commercial game on Steam, I really learned a lot.
As the game now reached one year, after much deliberation, I decided to make the game free forever. If you're interested in the game but haven't tried it yet, why not give it a try? I would love to hear your feedback, good or bad!
Most of all, if you play the game, please leave a review! It really helps a lot with current, and future games.
Feel free to hit me up on Discord if you want to discuss the game!
Oneons v1.6.0 update: now easier via permanent upgrades, and a new heal skill!
A few players mentioned that they found Oneons very challenging and difficult, to the point of being unbeatable (despite being a relatively short game). I decided to make a couple of simple changes to reduce the difficulty of the game significantly:
Any Oneons you rescue increase your health, energy, and damage. This change is now permanent across all games, instead of resetting to zero when you die.
Added a heal skill with a moderate energy cost and healing amount. You can use it any time, like Psi Blast.
Together, these two changes make the game quite a bit easier and more accessible!
If you're a hardcore player and prefer the original difficulty, you can also omit to rescue Oneons (they have no other impact on the game). As you like!
