Update #1 - Dialogue Trimming, Optimization, and Sound Fixes
Hello!
Thank you so much for playing/checking out Opening Up.
It was a very hectic launch day yesterday, with a few surprises I wasn't anticipating.
Firstly, thank you to those of you who have given me feedback about the game. I took your words to heart and immediately set about trimming down some of the dialogue sequences in the game. I will continue to look for spots to trim down the dialogue, I just wanted to address the really egregious spots near the beginning of the game.
Optimization is being looked into. I made a few quick fixes that did improve things, and I believe I have isolated the issue causing other performance hiccups. I will work on those fixes this weekend. It seems the game has trouble handling resolutions of 2560x1440 and above. Please bear with me, all I want is for folks to be able to enjoy this game without issues.
I also fixed some minor sound issues that I noticed. Finally, I began working on a spoiler-free walkthrough to help those who might be unsure on how to progress in the game, you can find it in the Guides section of the community hub.
Please keep providing feedback to me, and I will make changes where I can.
Also huge thanks to xQc for checking out my game. I didn't think he would play it so soon! I was on my own stream freaking out when I found out that he was playing. Unfortunately he didn't get past the tutorial section, here is hoping with this update he'll give it another shot.
In any case, I'm glad there was at least one good clip that came out of it.
An updated version of the game with these changes is now out. Stop by my stream this weekend if you want to give me any more feedback/suggestions, I would love to address any concerns you may have.
