Map 5 and Free To Play Session!
The 5th Map - ARLOWE
For the last few months we've been hard at work creating our 5th map Arlowe. Arlowe is the same size as Caul (our smallest map) but, unlike Caul which is based in a desert city, Arlowe takes place in forest town with rocky formations scattered throughout. You'll have to use the environment to your advantage as you battle through Arlowe and it's rural town overlooked by an observatory!
Free-To-Play Saturday Play Session! - June 29th
We will push a patch that allows the Demo to play multiplayer with everyone else a little before 12 PM PST on June 29th.
On Saturday June 29th, you will be able to play multiplayer for free on the Steam store page demo. Be sure to tell your friends and spread the word. We want this to be our biggest weekend yet!

Community / Developer Play Session
We will be having a Community / Developer Play Session on Saturday, June 29th @ 12 PM PST // 3 PM EST // 9 PM CEST. The play session will last a couple hours and we will be streaming on our Twitch!
As we announced earlier this year in our January update, some of the team has moved on from the dev team. We were committed to releasing our 5th map so we continued on with the development of Arlowe.
As such, this will unfortunately be our last update unless something major happens like we go viral. We've had a loyal fanbase rooting for us for a long time, many of you have been here since the early stages and we can't thank you enough for your support throughout the years.
The time has come! We announced a few weeks ago we would be dropping our price on Steam permanently and now it is time. Operation Valor is now only $4.99 USD (local prices differ).
We hope this price drop will get more people involved and into the game.
We will be having a Community / Developer Play Session on February @ 24th at 12 PM PST // 3 PM EST // 9 PM CEST. The play session will last a couple hours and we will be streaming on our Twitch doing giveaways!
As we announced a few weeks ago, we will be dropping our price on Steam permanently in about 2ish weeks!
The price drop will be quite significant (in our eyes, and hopefully yours too!). We hope this price drop will get more people involved and into the game.
Dedicated Servers
A few weeks ago we released our dedicated servers on Steam. You can now host your own server using the "Operation Valor Dedicated Server" tool in your Steam Library. In your steam library, make sure you’ve got the “Tools” section enabled, or simply search for “Operation Valor” in your Steam Library and you’ll find it.
We’ve put together a detailed guide in a Google Document to help you get your servers up and running. It covers everything from port forwarding to managing your server. If you have questions please post them in Discord and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
We know it's been a while since we last put out news before the holidays. A lot has been happening behind the scenes, but we’re now ready to give an update on Operation Valor and the future.
Dedicated Servers
We're excited to announce the release of our dedicated servers!
Our dedicated servers will work through Steam Tools. If you've ever port forwarded a router you should be in good shape. Servers will not show up in game, you'll have to use the console to connect via IP. I've created an in depth google doc on how to port forward, how to run a server, and how to add admins. It's a working document so if you run into any issues please let me know in discord and I'll update it asap.
This update isn't something we thought we would have to write so soon, but life happens, especially in indie development.
We’re still all-in on developing the fifth map, aiming for a midsummer release. This is something we really want to do and are working toward. Unfortunately, due to real-life circumstances, a few of our team members will be stepping away from development. As most of you know, we’re an indie dev team that also have full-time day jobs (unfortunately), so these things can happen.
We were hopeful before the new year that everything would work out, but the last few weeks have proved otherwise. This unfortunately means that Squad Leader AI will not be making it into the game. We’ve been trying to figure things out and, in the spirit of keeping things transparent with you all, the plan right now is to focus on the Dedicated Servers and the fifth map.
If things take a wild turn (if we go viral or something), we’re ready to ramp things up again. We will be keeping our public servers up, don’t worry.
Price Change
Another big announcement! Late February/early March, we will be dropping the price of Operation Valor on Steam permanently. We’re just ironing out the details.
Shout Out to our Community
We’ve been blown away by the support the last few years. Whether you’ve been with us since the Alpha days or joined us at release, you’ve helped us get here. It's been a journey, and with your support, we’ve transformed the game; especially with our big overhaul in 2021.
The fifth map is coming, no matter what. It’s something we’re passionate about. And you can expect another play session from us when it drops - maybe even before that.
Thanks for sticking with us. You guys are awesome!

We released our 4th map Caul last week and the response went pretty well! We are excited to hear back from more of you during this weekend. We just released an update today. This update is primarily getting the demo ready so it can play multiplayer with those who already own the game.
I did want to highlight two major updates below:
Support AI is now in the game! Look for their icons if you are low on ammo, run towards them, and they will drop ammo for you as long as they are not on cool down.
The FOB now displays the range in which you can construct buildables as well as the range you can place another FOB. The Rally Point also shows how far away you need to be to place another Rally Point. This is a work in progress, let us know what you think!
Looking forward
We are going into the holidays so updates may not happen until the second week of January. Our next goals are working on Medic AI, Squad Leader AI, and another surprise. They will most likely all come in their separate updates rather than a large update. Updates will be spaced out a bit more going into the new year. As many of you know, we are still working full time day jobs and it has been quite busy unfortunately!
Thanks for being awesome as always and supporting us!

Our 4th map is released!
Caul is here!
We're excited to announce the release of our fourth map, Caul!
From our previous announcement: Caul might be our smallest map, but it's the most densely packed with features. It's a desert-themed map with a mix of dense of urban and rural areas; offering a unique gameplay experience unlike our other three maps.
We're excited to announce the release of our fourth map, Caul, scheduled for the very end of November.

Upcoming Plans and Holiday Season Event
With the holiday season around the corner, we're gearing up for a major event on the weekend of December 15th. This is set to be one of our biggest events yet, and we're putting in a lot of effort to make this event awesome.
Lately real life has been a bit busy. As most of you know, we do work full-time day jobs to pay our bills, etc. Despite this, we're committed to enhancing the AI, and our goal is to introduce the first iteration of class-based AI in time for our December event.
Stay tuned for more details on the December 15th event as we get closer. We're counting on your support to make this our largest event ever!
Developer Play Session
Because of Thanksgiving this week and Caul releasing next week. Our next Developer Play Session / Stream will be Saturday, December 2nd at 12 PM PST / 3 PM PST / 9 PM CET. We will be doing giveaways during stream and showing off the new map!
