Fix for missing cache files, which caused many new players to not be able to see items in game and resulted in missing symbol squares throughout the game. To get the new cache files, you may need to delete your local game files or move them to a backup location prior to reinstalling. Please let us know if this continues to occur with new installations of the game.
The non-functional Steam achievement was also removed.
Update 2.2.0 Starhenge City Release and Permanent Seasonal Events
Content Update 2.2.0 includes the release of the long-awaited Starhenge City! All seasonal events have also been changed to permanent events!

Starhenge City
Starhenge City had seen the rest of the world of Orake become corrupted as the wildlife became monsters. Instead of trying to fix the problem, they built a cube to protect their society from the terrors outside. Inside the cube is a haven of resources collected and grown before the transformations began. They are highly protective of it and have fortified it with defenses on multiple levels. Starhenge City is known for selfishly protecting its own and not helping outsiders. Nearby Mystica was tormented by not only monsters, but also pirates. And Starhenge did nothing to help out for fear of weakening its own defenses. Gorgraxis was attracted by this selfish ambition and wished to consume them and their resources all the more. The Starhenge residents decided to take advantage of this as an additional defense and to this day Gorgraxis can still be found wandering the cube.
Unlocking Starhenge City will grant you access to abundant fishing, mining, woodcutting, and gathering spots previously restricted to the residents of Starhenge City. Even if you manage to complete the cube key unlocking the city, the citizens of Starhenge City are still apprehensive of outsiders and prefer to seclude themselves within their haven. Starhenge King tasks you with repairing some of the damage caused to the cube by Gorgraxis over the years. And in return will provide you with the fastest axe and pickaxe in game. However, some of the damaged areas can be hard to find.

Update 2.1.0 Announcement and Patch Notes!
Today, we are releasing content update 2.1.0! Its main features are a keybind editor, boss kill counter, and new equippable item types: Gloves and Necklaces!
Gloves will usually possess some stats, but most importantly some unique passive effects intended to shake up gameplay a bit. Necklaces will be items with random stats, grant random unique spells while equipped, and will be rerollable using Soulstones (regular and Large, depending on the tier) to get the perfect stats and spell you want!
Necklaces will not be released immediately because more work needs to be done so they behave as intended. However, there will three Gloves available right away! More info on what they do and how to get them will be in the patch notes below.
PATCH NOTES
System Changes • Implemented a keybind editor. You can access it from the Options menu or pressing default key "\". • Added support for two new equippable item types: Necklaces and Gloves. • Added a Boss kill counter (for real this time!). • The main menu will now show your client version in the top-right corner. • Revamped the instancing system to avoid potentially overwriting existing permanent maps. • Reduced the sound effect volume for linear spells. • Added two more screen resolution options: 1024x576 and 1152x648. • Fixed a crash related to the config file that may occur when launching the client. • Fixed a bug when dying in the Boneyard that showed red text "Your inventory is full" even if you had nothing equipped.
General Changes • Skeleton Archers now have items in their drop table. Their spawn points are now accessible. • Added a new Gloves item, Bloody Gloves: Grants damage equal to your combat level while unarmed. Dropped by Rockwort Goblins @ 1/250. No level requirement. • Added a new Gloves item, Magnetic Gloves: Grants a 50% chance not to consume ammo. Dropped by Skeleton Archers @ 1/250. Requires 55 Archery to equip. • Added a new Gloves item, Manafont Gloves: Grants a 10% chance for your casted spells not to consume mana. Dropped by Mystical Trees @ 1/250. Requires 60 Sorcery to equip. • Changed the animation for Spike Blade (D)'s Rage attack. • Changed the sprites of Archangels, Deramaus', and each of the Minotaurs. • Death Worm: Replaced the 2x T4 Crate drop with Death Worm Egg (R) @ 1/1000. • Rali: Halved the drop rate on all Ancient Masks and the Angel Ring. • Old Sailor's Shop: Rounded cooked fish prices and increased prices of non-cooked fish.
Easter Event 2020!
The Easter event is here! The event will last for one week. Please get the newest Steam/itch.io update for some of the new assets. Speak to the Easter Bunny in Aracia for more information and to be warped to the event.
Easter Egg Hunt • Begin the hunt by warping to the Bunny Caverns via the Easter Bunny. You must find your way to through the maze there to accept the quest start and then go on an expedition to find all 10 eggs! • Hint: The first egg is in the Caverns, but the rest are scattered throughout Orake in maps accessible to all. Mind you, this will be no easy task to do on your own. • After completing the hunt, you will be granted permanent access to the Poison Mushroom Leader's Pet Token shop where various unique items can be purchased, including one of the strongest "pets" in Orake!
The Wabbit King • Every 12 hours, the Wabbit King appears in the Bunny Caverns to check on its subjects. • When defeated, it will drop various useful event items as well as trigger an additive 50% World Blessing! • (Additive means that if there is a World Blessing, this will stack on top of it. For example, if you activate a 30% Bless before killing the King, everyone will receive a grand total of 80% bonus XP for one hour!)

Update 2.0.5 We have made extensive character changes, so you must have the newest client version to log in and play (version 2.0.5). Get it through steam or itch.
Major Changes • Added a Total Stats list to highscores! Type something like "/hs total" to see them. • Added two more bank tabs, one for regular players and another for members. Click the swap tab button on the right to change tabs. • Added another spellbook!*Press 'X' to swap while the window is open. • You can now SHIFT+ALT+CLICK resource tiles and items in Shops to take you to the wiki for more info about them. • Added another cosmetic ring slot (Cosm. Ring 2) to be able to equip wings and a cape or glow, for example. • Fixed AOE on spells casted by weapons.
Bug Fixes • Counter skills will now give Endurance experience. • Speed hacking prompts are now battle messages that don't annoyingly interrupt your game. • When pressing ALT, item names on the ground will now stack properly instead of overlapping. • When dying in PVP/unsafe zones, your equipped untradeable items (like most cosmetics) will not be unequipped. • Fixed a bug where a full potion does not give back the half potion on full inventory. • You can now swap spells around if other spells are on cooldown. Spells on cooldown still cannot be swapped. • Fixed a bug where buff spells casted and went on cooldown when already at max buffs. • You can now equip a two-handed weapon if you have 1 free inventory slot. • Fixed a bug when selecting 'No' in the item alchemize prompt would continue to ask you every time you double-clicked something. • Highscores will now save on level up as well as logout. • Updated default cache when updating/downloading the game to alleviate overflow errors and missing textures.

Orake Classic 2.0.0: Naitpyge Desert Out Now!
Orake Classic update 2.0.0 is out now! It features a new area: the Naitpyge Desert and its new town named Aerapoelc.
You can get there by taking Suribo's other boat from Sandy Port. While you're chatting with him, ask him about the crashed ships all over the Desert, maybe you can help him figure out the cause and bring some relief to voyagers.
The Desert is filled with lots of new endgame content, but also has appeal to mid-level players, as well as low-level combat weapons. There are new resources, Golden tools, monsters, bosses, 20+ maps, Slayer tier and endgame dungeon, two sets of armor, four sets of weapons, and cosmetics!
New Weapon Type: Sabres Sabres are faster and more accurate, but weaker variants of swords. They follow the same tier scheme as swords, currently ranging from Bronze to Puka. These are not currently craftable, but sold by Omar in Aerapoelc after helping him to get access to his shop.
Obsidian Equipment This gear set will require level 110 of your combat skill (120 for weapons) and 85 Endurance. Using the new resources, you will have to craft an unstable Faded version of the equipment, which will then need to be stabilized with enhanced souls that can be bought, crafted, and dropped by certain monsters.
Elemental Weapons and Spell A new set of weapons with unique abilities and a new spell will be added for level 115 combat skills. Each one is dropped by one of the four new Royal Stag bosses with the associated element.
Slayer Expansion Slayer has been further expanded in 3 parts:
a. Tier 7 Slayer You will now be able to accept tier 7 Slayer tasks at Combat Level 70 and level 100 Slayer in the Slayer Chamber. The rewards will be greatly increased compared to T6 at the cost of more difficult new monsters.
b. Relic Gear Set: Along with the Slayer expansion, there will be a new base set of gear for Slayers that can be combined in your own way to make stronger gear. The base items are comprised of five base helmets and two base tops and bottoms with different stats, defensive and offensive. Base level requirements are 60 Slayer and level 30 Combat. Combined versions will have greater requirements but greater stats. Combinations can be made on Slayer Altars. Base items can be dropped by Slayer monsters as early as Tier 3, becoming more common up to Tier 7, also in Tier 5+ Slayer crates.
c. The Slayer Realm A new Slayer quest line begins in the Desert about the warring Ajnin and Kusari factions. After completion and with level 100 Slayer, you will be able to access the end-game dungeon and defeat its difficult boss from the Elemental Citadel or Desert. This boss will drop an item used to finish upgrading your fully combined Slayer Relic gear. He will also drop new Slayer weapons that have similar requirements to the final Slayer gear, also with extreme power.
New God Boss: Graab Graab can be accessed in the southwest corner of Underground Power similarly to other gods. He will also drop the new tier of Slayer weapons, relic gear, and other useful and lucrative items.
New Tools and Resources There is a new set of Golden tools with high requirements at level 110 skills (except Woodcutting at level 90). Each skill has received at least one new resource to collect from or recipe to craft. These will be available after the current highest level of skilling content.
New Cosmetics We've added another cosmetics chest filled with 15 new cosmetics to Aracia as well as in Aerapoelc.

For those who have trouble opening the game, please go into the installation directory (right-click the game in your Steam library > Properties > Local Files tab > Browse Local Files) and run the runtime.exe. Orake Classic runs on a very old engine, so the runtime MUST be installed in order to play the game. It installs various discontinued dll's and ocx files onto your system.
We are looking in to upgrading the engine. Also, the sequel will run on a different engine (Unity), so this won't be a problem in our future games!
