Orange Moon after this update is officially in beta! This update adds the final 10th level, with the final Punisher M3 boss. You'll also have a Punisher M1 machine to help you complete this level and finish the game.
Before compiling this update I have discovered a major bug - player cannot progress past the level 8 and would be caught in a loop playing level 8 over and over. This bug was there since level 9 added and is now fixed.
MRC Punisher M1
Obsolete version of MRC heavy war machine. Heavy armored and equipped with machine gun and grenades of older versions, it has to be navigated by technician, unlike its successor.
MRC Punisher M3
Heavily armored and armed biomechanical machine that guards MRC spaceports and compounds. Only one deployed on MRC main base on Orange Moon. Equipped with a minigun and rockets.
The Steam version of a game now comes with DirectX redistributable.
If the latest DirectX runtime components are not installed, the game may fall back to a software-rendered canvas2d renderer and run with poor performance.
If you still experience issues after installing DirectX, especially crashes, poor performance or graphical glitches, try to update your graphics driver since many issues can arise from out-of-date drivers.

Update 0.0.9.1 improves the controls for both controller and the mouse, adds some new stuff and removes a few bugs.

Controller - instead of digital aiming, astronaut target will now follow gamepad right stick angle;
Targeting angle increased for both mouse and controller;
Added large shell box, yielding 16 shotgun ammo;
New decoration - destroyed MRC bomber ships;
Fixed bug when astronaut could get through the walls while using turbo jet;
Astronaut won't launch grenade anymore when menu displayed;

Hello everyone!
V0.0.9.0 update is another huge leap towards the beta, with new level 9 and enemy - MRC Trooper added.
MRC trooper
These heavy armored and heavily augmented human soldiers used by MRC to protect corporation assets such as mines and archeological sites, and deal with the raiders. Armed with grenade launcher, rocket launcher and plasma power field which they activate in close combat. Stay away! Grenades won't do usual damage to these soldiers. Plasma rifle is very effective. Armor piercing bullets or 50mm prove to be the most effective way to deal with them.
Another great news - I have signed the contract with Meridian4, indie game publisher. This will allow me to concentrate on the developing the game and add some features I've put down on “maybe sometime” list.

Raiders
These are a big problem for Moon Resources Corp. They raid anything they can, pillaging archaeological sites, destroying MR Corp equipment and killing prospectors. Heavily armored, they can be a challenge for unprepared astronaut. Machine guns that they use are not of the best quality and jam a lot though.

New enemy - Raider, with 200 health, immune to fire, armored, vulnerable to explosives;

Orange Moon V0.0.7.0 update
New level 8, a hardest level of all so far, with 2 new puzzles, added to Orange Moon. Most powerful weapon in the game, plasma rifle, can be found on this level and unlike other advanced weapons in the game, does not require MRC points to unlock.
Plasma Rifle
Slow but powerful all purpose weapon. Design based on alien artifacts. Plasma Rifle effective against any type of enemy - doesn't matter if it’s organic or artificial, armored or not. Can be upgraded once for better damage.
Plasma cell ammunition for plasma rifle is rare and expensive. It can be upgraded twice, increasing damage and the quantity of projectiles per shot.

Orange Moon Steam overlay V0.0.6.2 update
Steam overlay is now available in Orange Moon, along with all features it provides. The game will also have minimum 33 achievements closer to full release.

Note:
There is bug when steam overlay doesn't show up in the main menu, or if showed up, cannot be closed with shift+tab. If the latter occurred, alt+tab the game and overlay will disappear. This happens only in the main menu and I am working on this issue.

Orange Moon V0.0.6.1 is here! First update this year adds new enemy, new weapon, and new decoration, that will be used in a story later, and bugs fixes.
Minigun
Powerful but slow to warm up weapon with 5 upgrades. The upgrades will improve fire rate and warming up speed. It can go through all of your ammo in seconds, so be careful when using it. Player cannot use turbojets when minigun selected. Minigun shares 0.308 ammo with machine gun.
Forgotten Astronaut
New enemy, forgotten astronaut, added to level 6. Heavily augmented, human in the past, adopted to moon environment omnivorous zombie, wondering the landscapes of Orange Moon. It gathers grenades and landmines to hunt moon’s lifeforms. It also collects junk and uses it to hold the landmines and grenades in place on his back.
Most effective ways to kill - grenades, hand cannon and flamethrower. Will drop the head, which when picked up will provide 1 MRC point and 25 score.
New enemy - forgotten astronaut on level 6;
Jammer decor;
New weapon - Minigun. Can be unlocked for 20 MRC points;
5 Minigun upgrades;
Plasma rifle artwork for upgrade screen. Plasma rifle and cells will be unlocked on level 8;
Controller - weapon selection redesigned. Check controller mapping to see how to select weapons;
Inventory for puzzle objects on level 2 implemented;

Orange Moon V0.0.6.0 update
New 7th level added with a second boss on Orange Moon and new puzzles. UI inventory for puzzle items added now you can see what items you collected to solve puzzles. For now, inventory only available for items on level 7, and the keys. There are also bugs fixed, new sounds, second ambient track added, and new music will play during Recycler encounter.
