Dev Update

We are currently working very hard on the next update on our roadmap! It will be a huge one, introducing Tier 2 resources, buildings, units and techs. Here is a little sneak peek!

Alpha Build 1.1.0 (Fortifications)

After a bumpy start, we are back on tracks with our first content update!

Introducing the "Walls" building, which is built over region intersections, and used to slow down enemy progression. Also introducing upgrade task for certain buildings, which grants them a ranged attack. Towers now have a ranged attack by default.

New Content:


  • Added the "Walls" building
  • Added "Tower" buildings attack
  • Added building defensive upgrades


Adjustments:


  • Added shortcuts for building tasks
  • Rewrote technology descriptions to include more details
  • Improved hardware performances (up to ~50% on test machine)
  • Removed map border mist because of performance issues (to be reworked and re-added later)
  • Ranged units' range slightly reduced for balance purpose
  • Added details to invalid construction site messages


Fixes:


  • Fixed an issue where it would be possible to control enemy units
  • Fixed an issue where "Demolish Building" button would not work
  • Fixed an issue where enemy units would stagger in front of military building
  • Fixed an issue where camera panning using keyboard keys would scale with game speed
  • Fixed an issue where map limit trees' visuals would appear glitchy
  • Fixed an issue where all Native units' skin would appear at same time after saved game load
  • Fixed an issue causing Native unit death animation to not trigger correctly
  • Fixed an issue where Native buildings' biome-specific skin would not load correctly after saved game load
  • Fixed an issue where enemy units would not defend themselves when moving toward a target
  • Fixed an issue causing "Save and Quit" menu not to disappear correctly after button was pressed

Alpha Build 1.0.3

New Content:


  • Added projectile effects for archers
  • Added basic unit grouped formations

Adjustments:


  • Removed the ability to construct town centers over closed borders
  • Increased size of units' selection hitbox
  • Modified Empire capital building's rubble object
  • Town center buildings' description adjusted

Fixes:


  • Fixed an issue occurring when game pausing key was pressed when in pause menu
  • Fixed Native ranged units' attack range and audio being same as infantry units'
  • Fixed Empire archers' animation states not triggering at the right time
  • Fixed an issue causing units to sometime jumping aside following attack order
  • Fixed an issue with fog of war sometimes "blinking" on lone units leaving regions
  • Fixed an issue where enemy town centers' minimap object would be visible in-game
  • Fixed Empire units' death animation triggering
  • Fixed selection box sometimes not detecting units within
  • Fixed an issue causing enemy units' death to refund workers to human player's faction instead of theirs
  • Fixed an issue where minimap camera's zoom level and main camera's range limits wouldn't update correctly according to map size on saved game load
  • Fixed an issue with Native buildings loading incorrectly on saved game load
  • Fixed some issues occurring on AI faction defeat
