Find out how we're fine-tuning Organs Please

Greetings!

You'll be happy to know that we are fine-tuning Organs Please before it releases into Early Access. Here are just some of the changes we've been working on.

Players will now receive additional rewards for increasing the Survivability rate. For example, receiving a pass for hiring a new worker, reduced time when collecting Ark orders, additional orders in the queue, etc.

There are also rewards for completing Ark orders (besides the reward for saving humanity). You can count on an increase in resources and goods, the ability to build new workshops, and more.

All of this means that the quality of people you let onto the Ark and the speed in which you complete orders will play a much greater role in the game.

If you have played the Organs Please demo, you should already be familiar with events in the Factory. Different incidents and events affect elements of the Factory's management: the productivity of the shops, and the loyalty and stress of the workers. We've added some new events related to certain triggers in the game.

In addition, we have also:

  • Added new music and sound effects.
  • Finished models for the second in-game week and are now working on animations.
  • Completed the in-game encyclopedia.
  • Finalized levels 5 and 6 of Principles of Factions.
  • Been busy finalizing the in-game interface.

Add Organs Please to your Wishlist and join our Discord to stay in touch.

Factory ASMR

Greetings, overseer!

We hope you are ready to successfully complete the upcoming production of the Ark spacecraft in Organs Please… because if you screw up, we'll recycle you. Now that we have your attention, we must discuss the sound effects we created for the game.

As you are no doubt aware, Organs Please is a satirical anti-utopia about the impending destruction of Earth, and the recycling of people. But that does not mean that we have taken our jobs lightly. In fact, we have created the best sound effects that the human cattle... we mean 'players'... will love. The combination of a jazz soundtrack with cartoony sci-fi sounds will draw you right into the comedic (and depressing) world of Organs Please.

There are 4 different sound types in the game: voices, checkpoints, the factory, and the UI.

We needed to make sure the visitors' voices were clearly distinguishable while other sounds played out. So, we decided to make them comically cartoony. All of the visitor greetings and reactions should put a smile on your face. In fact, we urge you to smile because we are watching at all times.

We decided to take a different route for the voices of the faction representatives. They are still cartoony, but distinct enough to compliment each character. Their voices are squeaky, sly, and at times even annoying. They offer various “deals of conscience” to the player, and we emphasized this as much as possible with the sounds.

Every single element of the checkpoint has its own sound. From the visitor scanner to the rustling of documents, and even the pulling of levers to incinerate people – we spared no expense when it came to the atmosphere of the room. The sounds will change depending on the time of day so you don't need to look at the clock. When the end of your shift approaches, the speed of the sounds will intensify to signal that you are running out of time.

Tell us in the comments what you think of the sounds, meatbag. Don't forget to add Organs Please to your Steam Wishlist and join our Discord for more info.
