Oriental Empires Available Now in Early Access
Publisher Iceberg Interactive is delighted to announce that their epic, turn-based 4x strategy title, Oriental Empires, is now live on Steam’s Early Access Program. Developers R.T. Smith and John Carline, renowned for their work on the original Total War titles, have created a stunning rendition of the world of the ancient Orient. As a player, you will control and develop your very own empire, on an incredibly detailed and authentic depiction of the landscape of ancient China and Mongolia.

We're very excited to be launching Oriental Empires today. Development has been a long, but eye opening process. We hope that players will enjoy the game's immersive atmosphere, innovative mechanics, and become as fascinated by China's history as we have.

The current state of the game build is one of a very advanced beta. The multiplayer will be something we will include during Early Access, but the singleplayer is quite close to completion, pending some more polish. Have fun, and we look forward to your feedback!”

Prepare to invade and conquer as Oriental Empires launches in Early Access on 20 September
Iceberg Interactive, the publisher well-known for its love of 4x strategy titles, has today announced that the historical turn-based 4x title, Oriental Empires, will be available for PC via Steam Early Access on September 20, 2016.

Created by industry veterans R.T. Smith and John Carline, both who worked on the original Total War game, Oriental Empires is currently in Closed Beta. The Early Access launch this September will be incorporating all feedback given during this time to ensure that a full and solid gameplay experience is reflected.

In Oriental Empires, the historical landscapes of ancient China takes center stage. Set in one of mankind’s greatest civilizations, Oriental Empires brings the unique mountains, forests, plains and deserts of China to life in one spectacular strategy experience. Control a city or tribe from the dawn of Chinese history and turn it into a great empire. Develop lands, create great cities in order to raise huge armies and engage in epic wars set to make its mark on history!

Iceberg now accepting candidates for ORIENTAL EMPIRES Closed Beta Program
Haarlem, The Netherlands – 20 April 2016 – A Closed Beta program has been launched for strategy title Oriental Empires (PC), created by industry veterans R.T. Smith and John Carline and published by Iceberg Interactive, slated for release by the end of Q3-2016.

“The closed beta program will enable a fixed-sized and fully controllable testing environment, where feedback is manageable and easy to digest for the relatively small indie team. The beta program will consist of several different phases/waves, introducing a fixed number of new players to the beta program at different development points. Once the closed beta program for Oriental Empires is complete, the title will be launched as a solid and finished product”, says Iceberg Interactive Producer Bart Schouten.

Oriental Empires goes into closed beta program, starts accepting applications this month.
After much analysis, and having discussed the best road forward for the title, lead developer Bob Smith and Publisher Iceberg Interactive have chosen to opt for a controlled closed beta program for Oriental Empires, instead of the initially planned Steam Early Access process.

The closed beta program will enable a fixed-sized and fully controllable environment, where feedback is more manageable and easier to digest for the relatively small indie team. The beta program will consist of several different phases/waves, introducing a fixed number of new players to the beta program at different development points. Once the closed beta program for Oriental Empires is complete, the title will be launched as a solid and finished product, created together with the ever-growing 4x community.
