Hello Explorers! Welcome to Gemini, a Super-Earth world now available on the Experimental Branch!
Gemini has been in development for some time, and with the latest advancements in our tools and technology, we're thrilled to finally introduce this new world to the game.
IMPORTANT NOTE! Please keep in mind that this version of Gemini is still a work in progress and will undergo further iteration in the coming weeks. Currently, you may notice that the ground lacks textures and the trees are not properly LOD'd, which may result in frame rate issues, particularly in forested areas.
Additionally, you'll encounter placeholder plants and creatures from other worlds, primarily from the Proteus world. These placeholders are temporary and serve to refine the world tech as we gradually introduce world-specific assets.
To access Gemini:
Start in Single Player Creative Mode
Create a new Avatar
Select Gemini as the Starting World
You'll be able to build, save, and load progress as usual.
Stay tuned for more incremental updates to Gemini as we continue to breathe life into this exciting new world!
Warm Regards, Fenix Fire

Nice Big Update On The Way
Hello Explorers!
After a brief hiatus to recharge our batteries, we dusted off the game and found a lot that could be much, much better. So for the past four months we've been quietly working on an update.
Server Stability Boost
One of our top priorities was addressing the random hiccups in the servers that were causing disruptions to the read/write process. This was leading to issues like connectivity problems, missing save game data, and a slew of other errors. The solution? We've migrated to new servers in October 2023, and they've been running smoothly ever since.
Multiplayer Fine-Tuning
Putting the spotlight on multiplayer, we've tackled any syncing peculiarities that might have been throwing a wrench into your adventures. Countless tweaks to RPCs and streaming data have been made to ensure a much improved multiplayer experience.
Gameplay Adjustments
Taking a step back, we immersed ourselves in the gameplay experience, something that can be a challenge during the whirlwind of early access. Detailed lists were compiled, addressing every aspect that needed attention. Drones received a comprehensive pass, the Map system underwent a significant overhaul, and creatures are now in their fifth iteration. From sound effects to animations, and interface feel to visual effects, we've meticulously fine-tuned it all.
Spaceship Travel in Multiplayer
For those exploring the cosmos in multiplayer, we've invested time in refining spaceship travel. While a brief load screen is inevitable for multiplayer networking reasons, we've rigorously tested transitions between worlds in both single and multiplayer modes.
We're in the final stages of wrapping up this update, which should be released shortly. We appreciate your continued support and patience as we work towards enhancing Osiris: New Dawn. Our goal is to provide a more polished and enjoyable experience for all players.
As always, thank you for being part of our community.
Warm regards, The Fenix Fire Team
