Ostalgie: The Berlin Wall

DLC release freeze

Unfortunately, we are forced to announce the freeze on the release of the Yugoslavia add-on to Ostalgie. Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, we are experiencing problems in the possible receipt of your funds that you will spend on purchasing this DLC, in other words, we do not know for sure whether we will be able to get this money, whether it will be lost in the confusion of the war. The DLC is completely ready, but the date of its release is postponed approximately, most likely, to the date of the end of the war and the stabilization of the banking sector of Ukraine. If the situation with the banking system does not clear up by the beginning of March, then we will start looking for solutions to withdraw the campaign from Ukraine, so the add-on will most likely be released in March-April for sure. Keep calm. Thank you for looking forward to our projects, DLС, updates, we are glad to see that you are not indifferent to our work!

For dear brothers and sisters, citizens of Ukraine and Russia, we appeal to you: the most important thing now is not to succumb to provocations. Every sane Ukrainian, every sane Russian, each of us should not succumb to provocations, should not be angry with each other, ordinary Ukrainians should not be angry with Russians, and ordinary Russians with Ukrainians - no matter what. Do not participate in inciting hatred between Ukrainians and Russians. Fakes are pouring from all sides. Stay vigilant - stay at home - take care of yourself.

Ostalgie: Disorder in Yugoslavia

January 1989. After 40 years, Yugoslavia, the union of Southern Slavs, is in crisis. Years of debt, strikes and foreign pressure threaten to destroy the fledgling union, that was once a model to aspire to under the deceased Marshal Tito. Publically, officials scramble to fix what they can. Secretly, words of secession and war can be heard. Behind closed doors, ambitious men plot their next moves. Three republics, three ethnicities. Their actions will decide the future.

Serbia, the largest republic, and yet divided. Serbs can be seen throughout the country, many of them beyond their Republic. On paper it is one, in practice its own land is further divided, lands in autonomy aspiring to independence. Voices of outrage can be heard far and beyond, spurred on and protected by the rising star, Slobodan Milošević. To some a saviour, to others a traitor. His ambition seems endless, as he seeks unity for Serbs at all cost.

Croatia, a land with a conflicted past, a confusing present, and a fearful future. From a collaborator state in WW2, to a union of Croats and people once seen as subhuman. Well-off, and leeched. One, yet divided. Fires of change, once snuffed out, spark again, as Spring arrives. Will they burn again, as the past rears its head once again?

Bosnia, a smaller Yugoslavia to many. Once an example of all peoples living in harmony. Now, a land in division. Three ethnic groups, all with their own goals. Unity, Division, Harmony, Independence. Bosnia's fate may well be the same of Yugoslavia.

As you take the reins, what will you strive for?
