We'd like to introduce you to the newest minion in our robo-family, the Combat Drone! This little guy may look cute and cuddly, but all he's ever known is violence, and he's ready to ruin your day! Build him now to get a more robust home defense for your tier 1 base, but don't expect him to do anything useful besides satiate his lust for blood and scrap metal!

World
Fixed unminable water in x1y0
Fix some terrain clipping issues and rock collisions, fixed several possible stuck locations
Fixed a couple of floating/buried resource nodes
Fixed various stretched textures on the terrain
Optimized Lava and Radioactive Uranium Field for memory usage & performance, and fixed some visual bugs with them
Fixed various butterfly scaling issues
AI/Animals
Fixed the bug where bots were not finding old repair tasks after you leave and log back in on single player.
Added a comfirmation sound when you select a job in the bot frame.
AI bots now have a job range that can be set by the player in their orders menu, to set how far the AI moves to do their job
Added a combat variant of the regular drone, which can only do patrol and follow jobs, but has improved base stats
Gameplay
Item stats scale by item tier, so for instance - Stalker Armor T1 might get 30-80 HP, whereas T2 will get 60-160, and T3 gets 90-240
Buffed Spade Damage slightly
Fix for random first-spawn which could cause players to land on mountains
Temporarily alleviate a possible hitch every 30-60s, a real fix is still needed
Fix hand extractor usage on petroleum deposits
UI
Fixing delete save game button
Servers can now be searched by Dedicated and Local (LAN) - meaning you can run a server on your machine and play on it
Fixed an AI charging bug that occured in hauling and crafting when bot inventory was full with nowhere to deposit.
Fix a possible bug with animal spawns petering out over time
Structures
Updated the Power Pylon base to extend farther down, so it won't float above the landscape
Remade extractor frame to scale properly from T1-3
Buff gas generator fuel rate to .5 gas per minute
Significantly buff Comand Center radius, slight buff to Territory Claimer radius, TC power draws increase per tier
Players can't build themselves inside of structures like the furnace anymore.
Significant buff to solar panels power productions at T2 and T3
Buff to steam furnace T3
Rebalanced all structure values
Prevent power leaching with pylons on PvE servers
Fix charging station floor snap points
Increase base structure support distance to 15m, reducing the density needed of structural supports
Fixed gap between dome adapters and ceilings
Fixed t2 Miners reversed power materials
Fixed Ceiling Lights unable to snap to ceilings
Fixed collision on Nuclear Generators
Low Wall no longer requires any power
Fix miners, harvesters, and extractors to still work properly after welding them
Make forcefield door thicker so it's not possible to run through really fast
Rotate structures faster with mousewheel so its more responsive
Fix rocket explosions not damaging walls

Today we're going to be pushing out a new patch with some high priority fixes for balance, base building, combat, PvE servers, and more. Here's a list of the patch notes
World
Fixed Scaling on 2 Cacti causing large butterflies
Adjusted various spawns to prevent landing on cliffs
Fixed Uranium field pool flickering
Disabled dynamic shadow casting on lava and uranium fields to optimize performance in those locations.
Fixed some collisions on Ancient Skull
Fixed collision on various rocks across the map
Fixed a buggy water volme around 292:245
Fixed some stretched terrain in X1Y1
Balance
Fixed T2 Railgun Reload - Assigned Heavy Cartridge as its ammo
Hatchet will now be more effective against trees than other melee weapons, which will be very ineffective
Adjusted bonus stats provided by crafting - Health Regen, Jump Height, Max Health, Max Shields and Shield Regen
Resource pass on Magnetite, to increase density among volcanic regions, and very rare locations among rest of world.
Resource/Balance pass on Petroleum fields and Geothermal Vents
Change armor calculation so it is logarithmic instead of linear, hopefully will address some of the stat stacking that leads to invulnerable characters
Heavily reducing all ammo costs and values for Tier 2 and Tier 3 ammo
Significantly increase turret small and rocket turret range
Significantly decrease damage done to structures by sniper rifles
Melee weapons are now more effective vs armor than ballistic weapons
Buildings
Corrected emissive textures on T2 and T3 Steam Furnaces

Add an inventory slot per generator level - T1 generators will have 1 slot, T2 will have 2 slots, T3 will have 3 slots
The bug where the charging station wouldn't demolish is fixed.

Better description of the thing that killed structures (in most cases gravity)
Fixed T3 solar panel frame not being craftable
AI/Creatures
Added scaleable chances of animal hide drops on Nightstalkers
Bots cannot be powered back on when out of energy. They will no longer take damage either. Need to give them an energy pack
Increased starting stats of Bots. Big bots 750/750, little bots 500/500
Reducing footprint sounds for many animals
Adding Weaver and Crab nests adding nests to all zones
The issue with drones frequently not charging is fixed.
Increase initial landing Animal aggro lockout to 60 sec
Other
Updated descriptions for Hardened Crystal, Glass, Plastic and Steel
Fix issues where players are spawning too far away from their home location, or under mountain sides.
After a certain ammount of time players will automatically end the drop pod spawn sequence. This should fix issues where players were stuck in the drop pods.
Added vsync on/off option to the settings menu
Dropped items should no longer disappear if you have too many of them
Fix a possible issue causing server crashes and savegame loss while the game is saving
Fixed some issues with "disappearing items" when dragging them around or double clicking them with no storage open
The new WarAintWhatItUsedToBe cheat includes all 3 tiers of all the items. See cheat doc for the indicies.
Updated Rocket Launcher mesh
Later this week, we will be focusing on some additional high priority fixes
- Locally Hosted Matches and integration with Steam's Friendlist, Favorites, and History in our server browser
- Additional high pri AI fixes and configuration options
- Targeted performance fixes for specific performance issues that are affecting certain players
- Additional balance work
- Further fixes to cases in Multiplayer where the UI on the client doesn't properly reflect power status, or character stats

First weekend patchnotes
Greetings overseers,
We've been hard at work going through your feedback. Lots of changes and fixes are in since launch:
- T3 Mining drill should now be buildable and have collision
- Graphics optimizations for environment
- Pylons and Map beacons should no longer explode on load
- Addressed the issue with floating resources for most of the rare resources like diamond, titanium, magnetite, and potassium nitrate.
- Server and Client will both properly save the game on clean shutdown
- Small server performance improvement
- Fixed some large energy rocks that couldn't be charged
- Fixed some stretched terrain textures and smoothed terrain tessellation
- Fixed some floating trees
- Fixed pillar snapping
- Server List should be more organized and will refresh after a certain amount of time automatically
- The last server you joined will be at the top of the server list
- Added resolution scale option to graphics options menu to fix blurriness
- Fixed exploding unbuilt structures on reload
- Reduced Animal aggro range
- Updating the Shadow Runner color textures so the LOD's don't catch the background color.
- Add an FOV setting to the graphics options menu
- Increased player invulnerable and aggro ignore on drop pod landing
- Server list shows all servers, should be easier to navigate
- Server performance improvements
- Better air control while landing
- Removed spawn points in x0y2 and x2y0 near higher level mobs
- Added some additional commands to chat window - /stat commands and /suicide
- Slightly reduces animal density
- Player starts with 750 hp/ 750 shields

What is Outpost Zero?
A Sci-Fi First Person Shooter with Base Building, Resource Management, and elements of Survival. You play as an AI Overseer sent from Earth entrusted with the future of humankind, and tasked with establishing a habitat that can sustain human life on a mysterious alien world.
What stage of development is Outpost Zero in?
We are currently in Closed Beta, with Early Access launch to follow.
