It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the closure of Outworld Battlegrounds.
We have been proud to maintain the servers since the game's release in 2019 but with Amazon shutting down a service critical to Outworld's backend infrastructure it is no longer feasible to keep things running.
We apologize to anyone who this might inconvenience.
OUTWORLD BATTLEGROUNDS 1.0.1.1 patch notes
Some new stuff has been patched in!
In-game controller support has been fully integrated (you'll still need a mouse for the menu navigation). This includes rebind-able input mapping for both controller and mouse & keyboard in the menu and while in-game.
It is now possible to disable the popup tips.
Game and music volume are now independently adjustable.
Various other small bugs have also been fixed.

It’s official – OUTWORLD BATTLEGROUNDS is out of early access and our full release version is now available! This full version of the game includes energy shields and bazookas, and of course spectator mode while you wait for your comrades to come and revive you!
Thanks to everyone coming on this journey with us, but it’s only the beginning! Get your game, get your friends the game and start blasting everyone else to bits!
OUTWORLD BATTLEGROUNDS is leaving early access next week!
Get your guns ready because on August 1st OUTWORLD BATTLEGROUNDS is moving out of early access with a whole bunch of new content and fixes!
This update marks the point at which the game has most of the stuff that we've always wanted it to have, including the ability to revive your fallen comrades, spectator mode, energy shields, and bazookas.
Patch 0.1.1.3 - Character Customization
Patch 0.1.1.3 brings something we've been planning from the beginning, highly customizable characters.
Credits are awarded each game you play based on your individual performance. If you score a win you might just earn a free crate. Crates can also be purchased with real money.
This patch also brings an assortment of bug fixes and sets the scene for our next major update to bring the game out of early access!
A new minor patch is out! (0.1.1.2)
This patch includes some QoL and new player improvements.
- Controls are now listed under the "Input" section of the options menu. This is currently just a quick reference as the keys are not customizable (yet)
- The game now offers helpful popup tips for mechanics that we've observed people struggling with or misunderstanding
- It is now possible to reload while squished up against a wall
- Loot scatters around randomly when enemies die, instead of piling up neatly
- Pickup/drop/use buttons in the inventory are now much bigger and easier to click quickly
You can now play with friends!
In addition to some other things, team gameplay is now available!
Hop on, invite your steam friends to your party, and hit the big ol' play button to get started.
Currently supported modes are solos, duos, and squads.
In the next major patch we'll be looking to augment these new additions with the ability to revive teammates, some UI improvements, and character customization.
Huge news! Big Indie Pitch winner!
Huge news…. we won the Big Indie Pitch for a PC game at G-Star!
After much feedback we have released the full game containing the full map and in a few weeks we’ll release a massive update that’ll introduce team gameplay and get rid of the placeholder menu we've been using for far too long.
We have more in store but please leave us a review and let us know what you think!
