Overpower is/was a very fun project for the two of us to create. Unfortunately, we weren't able to market and promote it well enough for it take off and not too long after release we had to find other work that paid bills.
However, we do think the game is a lot of fun and if any new players want to check it out we've spun up some US servers and made all the skins free.
There's also still LAN support too!

Overpower Tournament #01
Today is our first tournament, it will be starting at 8 PM PST in the US-West server. Try and show up early as the server is capped to 20 players.
We'll be using Discord to chat and arrange strategies so if you haven't downloaded it yet you can do that here and join the Overpower sever using this link:

We'll be doing best of 7 Last Team Standing Maps. Each map is won by first team to 6 round victories. First team to get 4 Map wins will win the tournament!
Plan for it lasting up to 1 hour. Each player that shows up will receive a free skin and the winning team will get the infamous Goonsquad Skin for their favorite class!

Patch Notes:
We made some quality of life changes this patch mainly with the UI and introduced a couple new class features and balance! We also added Inverted Mouse Support!
Combat Balancing:
Warrior's Whirlwind now grants movement speed!!!!!
Mage Bloodseeker staff has reduced damage and increased attack speed
Mage Bloodseeker staff charge shot travels much faster
Mage Arcane Staff charge shot travels much faster
Mage Scholars Staff buffed. Gem Damage multiplier window increased from 5->8 seconds. Chance to proc increased too.
Assassin Dagger Rain buffed. Greatly increased damage and slightly increased movement speed.
Patch Notes:
Audio Polish! Fixed a bug causing audio to play in stereo reverse
Shield VFX are properly destroyed when the damage exceeds the shield amount.

Overpower Patch 1.5 - Ranking System!
Welcome to Overpower Ranking Patch! This is our first major update since launch. We've done some major adjustments to combat and balance across all classes.

Developer Sponsored Tournaments! We're going to host some Last Team Standing game mode tournaments to promote the competitive nature of Overpower. The first one will be Tuesday, July 26th at 8 PM PST. Everyone who shows up will receive a Free Royal Battalion Skin, and the winners will receive a Free Goonsquad for the class of their choice!

LeaderBoard:
Your place in the leaderboard is determined by your score. The score is calculated based off your Kills, Deaths, Assists, Lifetime Damage done, and time played. Player kills count significantly more than bot kills do, so the better you perform over time the higher your score will be.
Stats Page:
The Stats page can be accessed from the Main Menu. You can also double-click on any user in the leaderboard to view their stats as well.

EVO Patch
We've just updated the Steam build with the latest version we brought to EVO!
A lot of GUI updates. Improved graphics in all levels. Rank icons are now displayed in the scoreboard as well. We'll do a full patch note list when it comes time for Friday and we launch the new trailer! This is just a small update :)

Big Patch!! Friday July 22nd!
Hi everyone!
Friday July 22nd the big patch is going down. We're going to post more info as it gets closer. In the meantime we'll be in Vegas at EVO recruiting new players! :)
You're going to continue to see updates being pushed through in the meantime. In addition to 100s of new VFX already in place, polished combat, and Ranking / Stat Systems.
We're also updating all the graphics, level lighting, increasing game performance, and working on a brand new trailer!

Update on the Big Patch #2
Hey there again! We just released another patch, a lot of the systems we've been discussing are falling into place (finally!)
From a combat perspective, every ability and VFX has been upgraded and balanced.
New Pyro Bow
New Magic Burst Staff
New Blood Seeker Staff
New Shadowbolt Assassin Gem
We've introduced a new Main Menu / Player Stats / Leaderboard Screens.
Player Stats, will give you a breakdown of all your stats by class, and combined.
The Leaderboard pulls your stats which are updated at the end of each match and uses them give you a score. The players are ranked by score and given a title accordingly.
The highest rank Champion and the rest of the titles are distributed according from General, Captain, Officer, Sergeant and Recruit. These titles are updated twice a day.
We're working out some bugs still with the system and will be tuning the formula based on player feedback and experience.
We're also dropping the price of the game to $8.99, we're just waiting on Steam approval. We'll be making all Red / Blue skins from Armory free, and as we iron out the bugs in the next few days we'll announce an official patch date, run a Steam Visibility round, and an additional discount on the game.
We'll have more information on that patch date next week. We'll also have a table at EVO Las Vegas on July 15-16th. If anyone is attending definitely stop by and say hi!

Update on the Big Patch
Hi everyone!
It's been a while since we've posted an official update. I've mentioned we're releasing a very big patch in the "near future". It's still true, we've decided to roll it out over the course of several small patches so we can test and make sure when the official patch finally drops that everything is in working order.
We're also going to hit up the front page of Steam and do another big promotion push to correspond with the this major patch to breathe more life into the servers.
Here are some of the highlights of the major patch we're working on:
Player performance system, view all of your player and combat stats in game
Ranking system that gives you a rank # and title based on your performance.
Totally Polished Combat, every VFX has been replaced or updated and tons of new VFXs created, which will add clarity to the chaos
Sound Design pass with new Audio to aid in combat feedback
New Gems / Weapons
Balance and ability tweaks...all the useless gems updated to be more useful
We're close to achieving this, but it still going to take some time ( we are a 2 man development team after all ). In the meantime I'll be posting mini updates on the patches leading up to the major patch, explaining what's news new so you can hop in and check it out.
With that being said this last patch has the following:
New VFXs for all the Ranger Projectiles.
A new Ranger Pyro Bow.
A new Shadowbolt Assassin Gem.
New Mage Shield VFXs

Early Access Roadmap
Hi everyone! I wanted to take a minute to give an overall update about Overpower in Early Access, what are plans are, and what you can expect in coming weeks / months.
Overpower is Hydrant Game's first title. We're 2 really good friends that love RPG games and PvP, and came together to combine that passion into 1 game. We want to create a game that combines the epic class-based RPG progression of an MMO with pure PvP awesomeness.
No longer must you grind endless quests to obtain the armor/power/potions to make you eligible for PvP combat. In Overpower you can instantly join a match and play your favorite class!
That's the idea, however, without any form of progression in place the full circle is incomplete. The progression gives players something to work towards, having a reason to play more often means more players in the servers, and less bot matches.
We're going to use this Early Access cycle to develop and implement a progression system based on both skill and playtime. Players will be able to unlock gems / weapons / and skins for their class as they earn class levels. We'll also have a performance based ranking that will pit your class up against every other player in Overpower.
As we add these systems we will continue to address the gameplay and combat. Ironing out bugs and network performance. We will also be adding a new class called the Defender. They will be a "Sword / Board" tank class that will excel at supporting the team and bringing longevity and utility to the battlefield.
We will be polishing the team based game modes as well to make the objectives more clear and fun to play. Also we will begin hosting weekly Last Team Standing tournaments where players can compete to win skins. Look for more information on this in the near future!
In addition to these changes, we will be modifying the price of the game. We feel the current price is fair for what Overpower offers, if our player base was greater. But with low server population, a long with being an Early Access title, we realize many other players hesitate to pick it up at this price.
The changes we're describing is a lot of work for our small team, but its nothing compared to the progress we've made so far on the game. We expect to finish all these changes over the next 3-ish months. Once all the systems are tested and in place we will transition out of Early Access and into full release.
As far as marketing and promoting goes, we will continue to reach out to streamers and youtubers to help promote Overpower content. We'll also starting up expo exhibits to bring more press to the game. Our first booth is this coming week May 26th-29th in Atlanta at Momocon 2016. If anyone is planning to attend definitely swing by the Overpower booth!
