Hi everyone! Today we've released a new test version of the full release of Packing House! It includes fixes for problems reported from the previous version as well as some overlooked things, like missing outlines on some objects. In order to play it, first you need to own the game. But soon you will have a great occasion to buy it in case you don't have it already. Steam's Spring Sale 2024 is just around the corner and during it the game will be -55% off!
So, how do you get access to the test version? It's very simple!
Right-click on the game in your Library, then select Properties. Next, go to the Betas tab and in the input field enter: "PackTestHouse" and click Check Code. After doing so, you should get a blue pop-up that will indicate that you are now eligible to access the testing branch. Select it from the dropdown in the top right corner of the Betas window and wait until Steam finishes updating the game files. That's it! Now you can run the game as normal and start playing! It's best that you start a new game because there might be some issues caused by saves incompatibility.
Reporting issues:
As this is not a stable version of the game you may encounter some issues and bugs while playing it. You can report them here on Steam in the game's community tab or on our Discord server. If you can record your playthrough or provide repro steps for the problem that would be ideal. Also, please make sure to include your save files and logs from: %USERPROFILE%/Documents/Packing House
Feel free to also leave feedback about the changes that we've made and what could we improve before finally releasing the game in its full glory!

New Update Announcement!
Hi everyone! Sorry for the very long silence on our end, but unfortunately, life happened, and working on Packing House had to be put on hold. But we are back, and we are happy to announce the new update is coming to the game in the near future! Before we talk about what changes it will bring, just a friendly reminder that Packing House is available for -50% off during Steam's Summer Sale 2023! 🏝️🏖️☀️
In this update, we want to focus mostly on making the game more user-friendly and improving the UX. To achieve that, we focused on adding more feedback when interacting with game objects or UI elements. Now every interactive element has a hover state indicating that you can do some kind of interaction with it, and we've added audio feedback after using some objects that previously lacked any sound.
We've also spent some time improving rotating objects. It's one of the most important parts of the game, but it wasn't always intuitive. To address that, we've changed the math behind applying the rotation based on mouse movement and added rotation on the third axis when holding down Left Shift. To top that, we've also added interactions with many more objects around the house that you can pick up and move.
To help new players get more familiar with the game mechanics, we've added nested tooltips with links to the instruction that will help you navigate it fast and efficiently to find the information you need.
Of course, that's not all of the improvements and fixes coming with this update. To name a few, we plan to add smother transitions between animations, make small adjustments to the UI layout, and fix any bugs that are present in the game.
For now, we don't want to give any specific dates to not put pressure on ourselves to meet the deadline, but a lot of the work is already finished, so it will be coming out soon™ when it's ready. Till then, you can join our Discord server, especially if you find any bugs or have feedback about the game. Once again, we remind you about the ongoing Summer Sale where Packing House is available for -50% off.

Employee Update Full Release! - Packing House 0.2
Hello everyone! It's finally time to release the new update with the employee on the public branch! Since the open testing began we fixed a number of bugs and also added small quality of life features like the option to assign orders directly in the employee window or time speed affecting the pace of printing waybills.

Hi everyone!
First of all: we apologize that we have been so quiet! The game has not been abandoned, and we are still working to bring you new updates. Many factors contributed to this delay but the main one was the change of jobs of our lead programmer :). As you may know, the title is being developed after hours and therefore we can't rule out further delays.
Employee Update Preview:
A test version of the latest Packing House update, marked as 0.2 with the new feature of hiring an employee, has just landed on the testing branch. Anyone who is interested can check it out right now!
Want to join testing?
Right-click on Packing House in your library and select "Properties...".
Go to the "Betas" tab.
Enter the password "PackTestHouse" and confirm it.
Select "test" from the drop-down list and close the window.
Wait for the game to be updated.
As soon as we finish testing, we will the update available on the main branch. Until then make sure to report to us any problems or other feedback here or on our Discord server.

SimFest: Preview gameplay from the new version of Packing House!

Hi everyone! It is time for the first major update for Packing House! Version marked as 0.1 is now available to download and in this post, we will go through the most important changes and new features! But first and foremost we want to thank everyone who played the game, left their feedback, and waited for this update :D Thank you for your time! Anyway, enough rambling, let's start by talking about the single most important thing - competition!
From now on you won't be the only one trying to profit from online sales and you will need to face your competitors. Each of them puts up all of the available items on sale at various prices. To conquer them and interest potential buyers with your assortment you will need to make sure your price is the lowest on the market. The situation changes dynamically every day so make sure you check items' price history on a regular basis in the new app on your computer!
After earning enough money you will be able to take over your competitors and thus eliminate them from the market making your life a little bit easier. Of course, it's not cheap, but who said it would be easy?
