Furries & Scalies & Bears OH MY! 2 has been moved so that it is launching either closer to or directly after Super Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim.
One half of the reasoning behind this is because we wanted to give it more time to cook, and we had a much clearer vision for the two Furry Shakespeare games that were going to be our post-Army of Tentacles Winter 2021 games.
One of which is To Date or Not to Date Cat Girls? 2. The other is one that we had been talking about since 2016 and are all very excited about. We just didn't know what it was until now. We couldn't see it.
As these are games for an investor, we wanted to knock them out as soon and efficiently as possible while still launching good games. It's also that the Furry/Paper Shakespeare series has generally been more profitable than Furries & Scalies, so that's another reason. Had we all the time and money in the world, all three would be coming out before summer 2021, but that workload would eventually hurt Army of Tentacles 2021. Yes, one could bring up the claim that having an investor has affected us, but only in the sense of what products come first (and that honestly is the ideal situation). We're still making what we want to make next year. We still have creative freedom.
From everyone here at the office to all of you, have a very happy end of the year. Stay safe. Wear a mask. Have lots of Zoom parties with friends and family.

ARMY OF TENTACLES 1 ART PATCH, 11/16/2020
New graphical art update to Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim as well as the GOAT Edition!
Behold! The final entry in the main Army of Tentacles series, which can be played as either a sequel to Super Army of Tentacles 3, or as a standalone title entirely! The title was almost going to be Army of Tentacles 2, but we thought that a fresh coat of paint was the best route. The title we landed on is an amalgamation of the first two games.
Will there be a GOAT Edition and/or Cheat Mode?
No.
How standalone a title is it?
There are going to be things that definitely resonate with and will have different meanings for returning players, but the story is written with new players in mind. It 100% works as a sequel, but is written more like a parallel story to the main storyline that the first two games established, if that makes sense. You won't need to know who this is or why that is going on.
2021 Games
With that, 2021's titles are pretty much announced. It was honestly just going to be Super Army next year, but then Hamlet and Furries/Bears 2 slipped. We might do a Halloween game, but other than that, this is the lineup.
What's this? A new Army of Tentacles game? Without any RPG elements? Just a straight dating sim? Are the GODS THEMSELVES JUST AND WISE?
Well, here it is. Just in time for North American Halloween.
A note on release dates changing to 2021
A few of our smaller games, plus Furries/Bears 2, have changed to 2021. This isn't due to the sudden addition of Mythos Ever After: A Cthulhu Dating Sim, but rather, because our artists and writers need more time, and we need further assets that we didn't really account for in the budget. We figured that, if the games are delayed anyway, they might as well be clear off the current foreseeable (or at least further off than, say, January) release schedule.
The final three months of 2020 are going to see Very Naked Hamlet, The Ghost of Joe Papp 2, and possibly a stealth Halloween game.
Stealth as in we're gonna try to get it out by Halloween, but if we can't, we can't. I was busy taking the last week a half to recode Army of Tentacles: New Game+ Benefits, and got the itch to make a pure dating sim in the Army universe.
Paper Shakespeare: The Legend of Rainbow Hollow is released!
I always wanted to do a self-drawn game, as well as an adventure point-and-click. Hand drawn as quick sketches, then scanned into the computer, and then re-done in the computer paint programs, this one was an experience. Not sure it's an experience I'd do again, but I'm glad that it finished.
It also was the first try at a real puzzle game, and as such, I am super interested in hearing what works and what doesn't.
The Shakespeare play that it is very thinly based on is actually five: the five "Problem Plays" of the Bard's portfolio, and it also kind of ties all of the past Stick Figure Paper Shakespeare games together.
The game uses a new, more simplistic version of Army of Tentacles' Argument System, for a combo of puzzles and word battles. We might be using this in the future, but with a version that is a bit more buffed up.
