It's that time of the year again- Melbourne International Games Week kicks off in a week or so. In celebration there is a wonderful Steam even which features all locally made content!
This ranges from free demo, sales, talked and lots more. Head over to the MIGW landing page and check out all of the wonderful games and creators.
In addition, we'll be broadcasting some developer commentary for latest game Wood & Weather, so head over to that Steam page and have a look.

We've been working on a new game titled Wood & Weather and we have finally put out a trailer showing it off! Wood & Weather is a single player god-game set in a wooden toy city. Make friends and control the weather as an ethereal blue hand in a surprising little open world. 🌤 🌦 ⛈ ❄️ ☂️ 🍃
We originally showed this trailer off to a crowd of 400 people as a surprise during Parallels last year. It was really amazing to hear the whole room respond to the trailer in real time. ✨⚡️

This year we used some early concept work from our Art Director Nina for the keyart. Her ability to capture the tones and textures of the bush will always be astounding.

This year has been pretty big and very busy for us at Paper House! We've been working on a new game and setting up a new small studio for us to work out of.
It feels like we say this every post, but thank you to everyone who has supported us and continues to support our tiny wombat game. We love to still hear stories of people playing and sharing Paperbark and we hope you all had a wonderful 2021!

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY TO OUR CLUMSY WOMBAT!
This time three years ago, the very tired Paper House team finally hit 'submit' for our game and released it into the wild. It was one of the hardest things we've ever done and are still very proud of our humble little game.
Paperbark (which started as a small Uni project) has taken us overseas, given us everlasting experiences and allowed us to meet some life long friends. We owe a lot to our little wombat friend and all of you for your on going support.

Happy Wattle Week!
It's a wonderful time of the year where we get to celebrate the changing of seasons and the arrival of our favourite yellow flower, wattle.
For some people who don't know, wattle (Acacia) is a type of bush/scrub and is native to Africa and Australia. We have lots of different types here in Australia and one of them in particular (Acacia paradoxa) features quite a lot in Paperbark.
Each year on September 1st, we put some time aside to appreciate all of the beautiful yellow flowers coming into bloom around us.
We like this time oh year a lot and because of this we have put Paperbark on sale. We hope you can appreciate the wonder that is wattle as well! ːwombathappyː

The fires have been absolutely devastating and something we are all experiencing first hand. Even our home town (and major city) of Melbourne is constantly engulfed with toxic smoke from the fires, preventing us from even going outside.
