Sorry we've been gone for a year but we have been actively working. We have just released a public test build of 3.1.0 that adds a ton of fixes and updates including:
UPDATES
Armors are now color coded:
Magic Armor: Blue
Heavy Armor: Red
Common Armor: Green
The Accessory/Charm mechanic has been revamped:
The Accessory system has been removed
There are now 3 charm slots
Charms are now split into 3 categories:

Rebalanced some Charm effects:
Made the Frost, Flame, and Electronic bands resist their respective elements by +25% instead of making the user immune

✨✨ 3.0 UPDATE FOR PARADIGM SHIFT DEMO IS OUT NOW ON STEAM ✨✨
After several, several, several and several months, the early access 3.0 update has finally come out on itch.io (and soonSteam)! There have been several hurdles, including the entire team getting sick in the middle of development, but we managed to pull through to deliver what we can to update our demo.
The mac version is still being tested, we will make a post when its out. Sorry for the inconvenience! Additions Include: - Making the entire game 3D (seriously)
-A completely new battle system!
- Buffed the whole cast
- New ambush/surprise combat system
- Recreated dungeons and puzzles

Moving to MZ
Updates have been getting slower as of now, due to burnout of our main programmer. After all, this is our first real game we've ever created so far back in 2018, so there needed to have overhauls for concepts and how the game would look and play. Seriously, we greatly apologize for the slow progress. We didn't expect to find THIS many bugs in our demo, we're working with the best that we can get with our limited schedule. The game is being developed on our free time, between work and school.
This doesn't mean that we're abandoning the project no no not at all!
Right now, we're going to be moving the game from RPG Maker MV to MZ, to better optimize the 3D of the game, since there were a lot of issues with lag and softlocks in open areas (especially the NE map). Texts and dialogue will be updated, along with UI and battle animations. There are added options for adjusting the 3D: Field of View (FOV), Render Distance and the option to add or remove shadows.
With all of this in mind, bits of the game will be removed so that the demo wouldn't be bloated and/or it because it doesn't work on MZ (for now). This includes the bestiary and tutorial book.
We can't promise on the 3.0 update coming out very soon, but still do expect it eventually. Thank y'all for being very patient, and see you soon!

Where the heck have ya'll been?
So It's been a hot minute since the last update and it's because we've been working really hard for this update. The game currently struggles to shift from 2d to 3d so we decided to completely convert the game areas to 3d. One of the big reasons this has been a while is also the implementation of 3d models, we didn't expect to need a lot but we're getting through.
We've taken this opportunity to also revamped and tweak a lot of the maps, in general, to make the game look better as well. So please keep and eye out near December, we hope to be very close to finalizing Chapter 1.
