It's a funny thing - we never set out with the intention of Parkasaurus to be considered a cozy game, we really just wanted to make a unique looking game with cool mechanics! Anyway, we're really happy Parkasaurus was dug by such a range of players! Alright, why all the talking?
We added 10 free hats to the game! Who says Parkasaurus isn't a GaaS amirite? Seriously, I'll post more about this next week - but in the mean time you can do wonderful things like this:
Well folks, if there ever has been a time to grab Parkasaurus or pick a copy up for a friend (sharing is caring) now is the time. Not only does it help our studio out, but also solidifies that Dinos are obviously better than robots.
Do you already own a copy?
If you already own a copy of Parkasaurus then how about write up a review for the game! This helps a lot.
What the heck are you guys up to anyway?
You might have notice things have been a little…quiet lately. Well, turns out Washbear Studio (us) are working on a new (unannounced) game! We’re excited to share more details and hoping to have a trailer ready for April or May.
Can I playtest this new secret game?
Maybe yes? We’re going to offer signups to try the new game out in the near future through our mailing list and Discord channel. Sign up to either to be the first to know!

Prehistoric Wonders DLC Available!
Hi all! Hope you're having a great summer (or winter? living on a tilted planet makes things so complicated). We just released a little Prehistoric Wonders DLC. This means a lot of creatures that existed not that long ago! (either from extinction on their own or by human hand :( )
This includes: American Lion, Mammoth, Sabertooth, Megatherium, Eastern Puma ,Giant Capybara, Short Faced Bear, Dodo, Dire Wolf, Dwarf Pronghorn
As a side note we also have a bundle: Parkasaurus Deluxe if you're looking to pick up the entire enchilada.
Thanks all for the love and support!
Parkasaurus Original Sound Track (OST) Available
Hey friends! The Parkasaurus OST is now available! If you want to hear the tunes of your dino park outside the game this is your chance.
Two really rad musicians worked on the sound track: Tim Grabowski and Jonnie Dredge. They're crazy talented, I don't even know how they do it.
Stay safe!
Update #63: Ghostly Dinos
Hello friendos! Our favorite time of year is upcoming so we obviously are updating Parkasaurus with some free spooky DLC. The Ghostly Dinos now allows you to turn your dinos into marvellous ghosts who can also wear an assortment of Halloween-like hats. Why not make your fenced-in exhibit Halloween themed? Let’s chat about it.
Update:
Ghostly Dinosaurs
Frightful Fences
Costume Hats
Pumpkin Toy
Ghouly Guests
Ghostly Dinosaurs
Wait. Is a Trex not scary enough? How about a GHOST TREX?!. Step 1. Buy a pumpkin from the Gem Store. Step 2. Slot the pumpkin into a dino egg slot. Step 3. Scare everyone. Note: The Spooky trait is permanent so I hope you love spooky dinos.
Frightful Fences
Why use boring old metal fences for an exhibit that isn’t going to scare the socks off any of your guests? Start setting the mood with some spooky fences!
Costume Hats
Let me share with you how I decorate my dinos up for Halloween. While my favorite is obviously Space Hat (what dino doesn’t want to be a Space Dino), my top costume hats are:
Space Hat
Pumpkin Hat
Witch Hat
Mushroom Hat
Unicorn Hat
Scuba Diver Hat
Flower Hat
Pumpkin Toy
Want to see your dinos play with their food? The Halloween spirit is real with Pumpkin toys your besties can toss around!
Ghouly Guests
Check out the Gem Store at night to buy your own Scary Pumpkin to invite an entire new crowd; Vampires, Zombies and Ghosts. Here’s the thing, Zombies love balloons, and Ghosts love dinosaur gazing. Who knew?
We have another post that goes into detail about what you find in the DLC, but here is a quick overview:
New Dinosaurs (11)
New Aquatic Feeders (14)
Above ground exhibits
Below ground exhibits
New Campaign Missions (3)
New Scenery Items (4)
Hats
What more is there to say, hats! Some aquatic themed, some not! You can find the new hats in the store and some unlocked in the Heart technology tree.
Toys
Find all your favorite poolside toys! Floating Flamingo? Of course! All your favorite birds.
Experimental Controller Support
Experimental! Parkasaurus plays great on the Steam Deck, and also with a controller. See below as I zip around the menus using a controller.
UI can be increased to 125%
The devs finally got to this amirite? See below what 125% UI looks like:
Modified Water System (rendering)
The water has a re-work because of the aquatic systems found in the DLC. We like to think the water looks much nicer, we hope you think so too!
Improved Performance
Build bigger, not slower!
Max people in park increased from 300 to 600
Will your park melt if you get to 600 guests? Maybe. Let us know!
Many bug fixes major and minor
Thanks to everyone who submitted bugs – we do read the reports and try to fix a lot of what you suggest.
Finally, a shout-out to the awesome community we have. Washbear has some exciting projects in the mix and we can’t wait to share them with you in the future.
The upcoming 2.0 Update also provides the opportunity to pick up the DLC Sea Monsters .
Let’s discuss what comes with the DLC:
New Dinosaurs
New Aquatic Feeders
Above ground exhibits
Below ground exhibits
3 new Campaign Missions
New Scenery Items
New Dinosaurs
There are two main types of new Sea Monsters in the DLC! The two new class of Sea Monsters to Parkasaurus are aquatic and semiaquatic:
Elasmosaurus
Plesiosaurus
Mosasaurus
Atopodentatus
Sarcosuchus
Archelon
Dunkleosteus
Liopleurodon
Ichthyosaurus
Placodus
Megalodon
This also means 3 new biomes: Photic, Lagoon and Beach. The biomes are adjusted by depth of the water in the exhibit, and also temperature of the water.
New Aquatic Feeders
There is a range of new feeders in the DLC: Some for aquatic & semiaquatic sea monsters, and some new ones for our land friends too. Especially our long-neck friends!
Hose
Vegetable Tower
Meat Tower
Vegetable Tube Rack
Meat Tube Rack
Tubes Stand
Above ground exhibits
Above ground is one of the two new exhibits you can build for your Sea Monsters. There are pros and cons to both.
I like the above ground exhibits because you can see through the wall while walking around for some pretty cool views!
Below ground exhibits
On the other hand, there are below ground exhibits which often have a more natural look in the surroundings of the environment.
3 New Campaign Missions
We’re also excited to have 3 new campaign missions: Shipyard, Factory and Fire Party. In fact, Fire Party was one of the first missions I had always wanted to make for Parkasaurus but never could. Our suggestion is to do Fire Party last as the other 2 missions introduce the idea of above and below ground exhibits.
New Scenery Items
And of course, a DLC requires 5 new cool scenery items! My favorite being pineapple house.
