We'll be in Cologne for Gamescom 2023, and while we're in the area we'll be doing a fan meetup! If you'd like to meet Chris, Jonathan, and some of the other Path of Exile game designers, come along and say hi!
We have a reservation for 40 seats outside in the beer garden. A selection of food (including vegetarian and vegan options) and drinks is available for purchase. If we exceed the number of seats, we can fan out to the park which is adjacent to the beer garden.

New and Changed Gems in Path of Exile: Trial of the Ancestors
In the Trial of the Ancestors expansion, we've introduced several new support gems and made some changes to existing ones. As usual, we've prepared the gem data at level 20 with 20% quality for all new and changed gems to help you theorycraft your builds for the upcoming launch.

Trial of the Ancestors Boss Kill Event
To celebrate the launch of Trial of the Ancestors, we're hosting a Boss Kill Event where Path of Exile players can compete within each Ascendancy Class to kill the Uber Pinnacle Bosses in Ancestor Hardcore SSF mode.
Prizes are awarded to the first player in each Ascendancy Class who complete all seven Uber Pinnacle Boss Encounters:

Due to HC SSF player populations on Console realms, the competition will run in the equivalent SC SSF (non-HC) Ancestor league for Console players. In addition, console prizes will not be awarded per Ascendancy class.

If there are operational problems with the event (like significant realm stability issues at launch), Grinding Gear Games may restart the event at any point. The way we will do this is to create a new event league and indicate that players who wish to compete in the new event must make new characters there.
Players who migrate from a private league to the event league during the event are ineligible for prizes. Placings and prize eligibility are entirely at the discretion of Grinding Gear Games.
While the event being SSF reduces a lot of scope for outside help, any form of account sharing (or other breaches of the Terms of Use) will disqualify a player from receiving prizes.
Grinding Gear Games Employees (past or present) are not eligible for prizes.
Players who have played on the Alpha realm since August 4th 2023 (when the expansion was first deployed) are not eligible for prizes.
Changing your Ascendancy Class during this event will cause you to be disqualified from earning prizes. You must kill all seven pinnacle bosses on a single character. Accumulating kills between characters, or using multiple characters to kill a boss will not count.
Dying or migrating your character out of the league doesn't remove prize eligibility as long as the kill occurred while in the league.
You may only earn prizes for ranking overall and first in a single Ascendancy Class. You will not earn prizes for coming first in subsequent Ascendancy classes.

Crucible Supporter Packs and Kirac's Vault Pass End Soon
When the Crucible League ends next week, the current items available in Kirac's Vault will be sealed away forever and replaced with new, exclusive cosmetic effects alongside the launch of the Trial of the Ancestors expansion. The cosmetics in the pass for consoles will be replaced alongside the Trial of the Ancestors expansion console launch. Will the Crucible League go Core?
Crucible will not be going core, but there are components of it that we really like that we may find a way to bring back in future expansions.
We loved watching everyone develop their Crucible trees to create unique builds utilising all the different Crucible skills available, so all your items with Crucible trees will move with you to Standard. However, the "Totems Explode on Death" Crucible Skill will likely be adjusted when that happens.
When the current league ends in a few weeks, all your existing Geodes, Remnants and Magmatic Ores will be deleted. If you have any Crucible challenges to complete, you still have some time to do so!

ExileCon 2023 Starts Soon!
Very soon, we’ll kick off ExileCon 2023, where we will reveal everything there is to know about Path of Exile 2 and the upcoming 3.22 Path of Exile expansion.
The official livestream begins at 2:30PM Friday 28th July (PDT) with a 30 minute pre-show. The keynote presentation will begin at 3PM Friday 28th July (PDT). You can follow the countdown timer on the front page if you’re unsure - the keynote starts when this countdown ends! If you’ve missed our schedule, check it out here.
For those who are attending ExileCon in person, we wanted to remind you that you will need to pick up your tickets by showing the QR code found on your Path of Exile account page or the email we have sent you at the registration area inside Aotea Centre, with signage in Aotea Square to direct you.
You can find the registration tent opening hours as well as everything else you need to know in this news post.
As we mentioned last week we have set up Twitch Drops for the viewers of ExileCon watching live on Twitch. Attendees will receive codes for these as well as an exclusive ExileCon microtransaction in their swag bags, so you don't need to open the stream while you’re at the event. You will be able to receive these by linking your Path of Exile account to your Twitch account and watching any ExileCon livestream at http://twitch.tv/pathofexile or in the Path of Exile category.
To receive the Raven Demon Wings, you will need to watch any channel streaming ExileCon for at least one hour between 3PM July 28th PDT and 4:30PM July 28th PDT.
To receive the Heartseeker Portal you will need to accumulate four hours watch time on any ExileCon stream over the weekend, ending at 10PM July 29th PDT.
After you’ve accumulated enough watch time to earn your Heartseeker Portal and/or Raven Demon Wings, you must redeem them from your Twitch Inventory before the promotional period ends. You will then find them in your microtransaction list in Path of Exile.
