Update - new decoration models

Greetings Patrons!

We've been a little bit silent for a while, but it's time to bring back some love to Patron!
Judging by activity from players, especially ones that play longer hours, we've noticed that you like to "reward" your medieval city with good looks. And that is perfectly ok - if you succeeded in making your settlement into prosperous, well organized city, it's only fair that it looks like one too!

In any case, in this update we're adding a few more options to decoration system:

* 3 entirely new decoration models
* 2 of these models are modular - you can connect them and combine in multitude of ways
* 1 is a standalone - simple, easy to place and with a dash of style

Hopefully, these additions will expand your creativity and increase flexibility in creating portions of your city into something you're really proud of!
Feel free to share your interesting creations to everyone is screenshots gallery. Make everyone envy you!

As always, have fun and let us know what you think!

New Kaiserpunk Playtest is around the corner

Hello,

This week, from Friday Nov 29th until Dec 3rd, a public Playtest, second one, will be held for Kaiserpunk. This game features a full production chain city builder mechanics combined with many grand strategy elements, all set in an alternative history of the first half of the 20th century.

Rebuild your own city and territory, set up production and logistics, then take your success to the global stage and spread order to over 100 world regions. Tools of getting there can be pure military conquest, diplomacy or economic domination, whichever suits you best.

This is the second Playtest for Kaiserpunk and playable version will be much more completed than the demo several months back. There is still much work to be done but this version should clearly showcase what the game is all about.

You can apply for the Playtest through simple Request Access button on the Kaiserpunk store page and access will be granted when Playtest officially starts on November 29th.

Take a look, give it a spin and give us any feedback you'd like to share with devs. You can do so on Steam, Discord ( https://discord.gg/6FfVfPfDNz ) or email kaiserpunk_support@overseer-publishing.com .

Any and all constructive feedback to help complete this complex game is truly appreciated. Besides adding a lot of recently completed features, feedback from first Playtest also impacted many changes and improvements to previous features. Feedback from this Playtest will help improve the game further.

Just a few significant additions you can expect in this round of Playtest:

  • Flag design – You're leading a new nation, you should have a flag…your own designed flag
  • Selection of heritages – German, Western allies, Russian… choose your starting heritage
  • Social pillars – set your political alignment
  • Tutorial 2.0 - sections completely reworked based on player input from earlier Playtest
  • Maps – over 20 maps available through 4 different geographical biomes
  • More stories – multiple new stories with players choices and mutual causality
  • Diplomacy system – If that's your strong side, war isn't the only option anymore
  • Basic trade system – can't find and produce all the riches on your own? Trade for them!
  • Tier 3 production chains and buildings – build more, build bigger
  • Reworked world map HUD – previous feedback from players gave us many ideas for improvements, so voila
  • UI/UX 2.0 – what can we say? It's much better
  • Army specializations
  • Army units and buildings up to Tier 3 (out of 4 in total)
  • Decorations system (2 out of 3 tiers finished) – much bigger city you can now build needs to be shown off, right?
  • Combat improvements – more options and feedback before and during combat phases

We'd like to invite you all to participate in this play session.

Game isn't yet completed, but it's getting there fast, and with your help it'll be even faster. Black Friday is coming up, so why not use this opportunity for some free gaming enjoyment?

See you there!

From Patron to Pompeii: a New Journey in Ancient Rome!

Greetings Governors!

While we're busy working on Kaiserpunk, Overseer Games' next game, we'd like to draw some of your attention to Zeljko Kos from Siscia Games. Some of you may be interested in what he's doing. So without drawing this out for too long, here's what he wants to share with You.

If you’ve enjoyed managing your town and watching your people thrive in Patron, I have an exciting new adventure for you! Step into the world of ancient Rome with Pompeii: The Legacy, an epic city-building game where you’ll take on the challenge of rebuilding Pompeii after the devastating eruption of Mount Vesuvius. But this isn’t just about construction—it’s about survival, growth, and leaving your mark on history.

Behind Pompeii: The Legacy

I’m Zeljko Kos, the solo developer working on Pompeii: The Legacy. You may recognize my work from Patron, a city-building game that many of you have enjoyed. This time, I’m taking on an even greater challenge by developing Pompeii: The Legacy entirely on my own, using a custom engine that I’ve built from scratch. Working solo allows me complete creative freedom, and I’m thrilled to be crafting every aspect of the game to offer a deeply immersive and historically rich experience for players.

Why Pompeii: The Legacy?

  • Historical Setting: Immerse yourself in the rich world of ancient Rome, rebuilding one of its most iconic cities.
  • Expanded Gameplay: Manage resources, construct iconic Roman structures, and guide your people through an ever-changing landscape of challenges.
  • Strategic Depth: From city planning to politics and diplomacy, you’ll face tough decisions to restore Pompeii’s former glory.
  • Narrative-Driven Experience: Enjoy a compelling story woven through historical events that shape the world around you.

Much like Patron, Pompeii: The Legacy offers deep management systems and a balance between strategic thinking and city growth, with added elements that reflect the unique challenges of the Roman Empire. With historical authenticity and engaging mechanics, this game will take your city-building experience to the next level!

By wishlisting Pompeii: The Legacy, you’ll stay up-to-date with the latest developments, upcoming updates, and announcements as we prepare to bring this grand project to life.

Hot summer update – v1.906.0

Hello Patrons,

This long summer is relentless (at least where we are), but here is something to make your gaming days a bit more interesting!

In this summer update for Patron, we've finally „broke the code“ and introduced research stacking, a feature frequently requested by you. For some reason, it kept giving us troubles but it's sorted now and you can finally set multiple reseraches to be researched in given order. If you already know the technology path you wish to take, this should make your life easier.

Another frequently asked detail is addition of open mini map right at the start of the game when you're selecting a spot for your Town center. Now you can have a neat overview of surrounding area to choose from where you want to start building your city, relative to resources, shores and any other geographical feature you deem important.

Content wise, there is an expansion of various sculptures and statues in decoration section. This should be useful once you reach a level of wealth that simply needs to be shown to everyone.

Part of this update is also few more optimization thingies, mainly model optimizations and shader tweaks.

A batch of bug fixes and language patches of various scope is ofcourse mandatory with every update, so we didn't skip it this time either.

Hope your Patron experience will get another enhancement with this update!

CHANGELOG:

  • ADDED: Additional 5 decoration busts
  • ADDED: Additional 5 decoration statues
  • ADDED: Research stacking – you can now initiate a stack of technologies to be researched in sequential order
  • ADDED: Mini map will now be shown when you're placing a Town center at the game start
  • UPDATED: Additional optimization of several shaders
  • UPDATED: Additional optimization of several 3D models
  • FIXED: Text correction on First King mission
  • FIXED: Fixed italian language
  • FIXED: Numerous smaller bugs

Have a pleasant July, and until next time!

Summer update on the way

Hello Patrons!

Hope these summer temperatures aren't bothering you too much! We recommend cold water, air contition and a good game to kill the time.

We've been working on next Patron update, and according to current plans it should be ready and out by mid next week.

What can you expect from this one? Well, we'll add some new content stuff (buildable beautification objects), additions to character visuals, optimizaton on few shaders and more 3D models, some quality of life additions that you've requested, bugfixes and more...

We'll provide the full changelog alongside update itself, and hopefully you can expect all o it by Tuesday next week.

Governn on and stay cool!

Try out free demo of Kaiserpunk during Next Fest

Greetings Patrons!

As we're preparing next Patron update, we'd like to invite you to check out our next endeavour. Kaiserpunk has been in the works for a while now, and during this June's Next Fest, you can try it out in the form of a free demo. It is a bit different game to Patron, but large portion of it still falls under city building genre, so should be familiar to majority of you. Main difference is that general setting revolves around alternative history of first half of 20th century, and gameplay wise it includes an entire grand strategy layer.

Once you build, organize and set up your city, you can also use that wealth and logistics to set ip armies and start "spreading" your success on the worldwide map. Global logistics, conquest/defense and resource management on the world stage coupled with city builder management of your home region/city should wake up and challenge your governing skills to the max. Additionally, Kaiserpunk features stories and causality system where dozens of little stories appear throughout the game. Some of them, depending on choices players make to resolve them, can eventually turn into long branching quests with various long term consequences...

Kaiserpunk is currently still in heavy development, but we wanted to reach demo version sooner in order to give everyone a chance to try it and let us know how they feel about this unique concept of merging two genres. In our view, grand strategy can greatly complement in the world arena all success players achieve in the city building part of the game. But your judgement will be the final one...

In any case, free demo of Kaiserpunk will be available throughout the duration of Next Fest starting today, and we'll be excited if you grab it, play the heck out of it and let us know what you think!

If you enjoy Kaiserpunk demo and appreciate what kind of experience we're aiming to achieve here, WISHLIST and FOLLOW the game to stay in the loop with development and release plans!

Welcome and have fun!

Steam Farming Fest 2024

Greetings Patrons!

Just turning your attention to currently active Steam Farming Fest!
The event is running from April 29th to May 6th, and you have a chance to browse among best selection of games that offer deep and meaningful farming elements. And there are so many games that did this right! From our discussions with players, we're certain many of our players enjoy strong farming elements in a game, so hope you'll use this opportunity to expand your libraries with a game or two.

We are very pleased to have a chance to participate in this event with our Patron, and during the event you can grab the game with massive 80% discount!!! Note that game has just recently been updated as well with numerous details that players asked for themselves.

For anyone that hasn't yet played Patron yet, in our case, farming is pretty detailed and works as one of the essential elements of game. Being a city builder, Patron utilizes multiple farming elements both as source of important individual food items, as well as ingredients for broader production chains.

Additionally, farming in Patron includes farming fields, orchards, animal farms etc... To achieve a successful and sustainable production you'll need farms themselves, but also sufficient numbers of happy workers and logistics to transform raw harvest into finished products.

Remember that food is essential for your colony to keep growing. Everything depends on it! And never forget that your citizens won't be too happy or healthy eating always the same things. But with all of the tools available to you - various farm fields, upgrading of farming technology via research tree, selection and rotation of different crops... we're certain you'll be able to secure all of your citizen's needs and then some.

Have fun and enjoy!
