Why are items missing?
On September 16, messages about unsuccessful requests from the game client to the steam inventory service were poured into the developer console. As it turned out, the inventory service was disabled ... I enabled it again through the developer site, but after 2 days we started receiving messages that all items were missing from the inventory.
After 2 requests to the steam support service, which remained unanswered, I once again went to the developer site and carefully looked through all the settings and it turned out that steam automatically switched the inventory to hidden mode. At what point this happened is not clear.
At the moment, we still have not received a response to any of the last two requests from steam, although now they are no longer needed. Let's pray for steam and its wonderful staff.
Items are missing from inventory
Recently, about a week ago, all items disappeared from Steam's inventory. If you try to buy an item on the marketplace, it will be impossible to buy it. The item simply won't appear in your inventory.
We were NOT blocked. This is just a technical problem from Steam. We are not involved in its origin.
I will write briefly for those who do not want to read a lot, and below I will write in more detail.
In general. The inventory will be restored, and the items will return to the inventory. Arthas was not involved in the problem.
Chronology of events for those who are interested.
One day they wrote to me in personal messages on Vkontakte that the inventory was dead. Indeed, when entering the inventory, there was a red circle, and it was written that the inventory data was not available.
Posted on Steam Support. Two days later, we were told that something had happened to the inventory service.
Going to the Steam Direct page, I found that the checkbox under "Enable Inventory Service" was missing. We turned it back on. But after the publication of the changes, the check mark was automatically removed. After going through this process 5 times from different PCs, our team of qualified independent indie developers realized that they should send a second appeal to Support. As expected, after a week we did not receive an answer, but the inventory service turned on automatically. I have no idea what the trouble was.
Even though the inventory service is enabled, the marketplace is open and there is inventory. Items are still not available for purchase and do not drop in-game. Another appeal was opened a few days ago. Wait about a week, maybe two.

New items can be knocked out in the game after 3 hours of the game or acquired on the marketplace.
