It's been almost a year since I started remaking this project—time truly flies! It's now time for the March progress update.
This month, my focus has been on creating new assets for the map, developing story elements, and implementing new map layouts. My goal is to complete all necessary assets before fully integrating the story. The progress has been solid, though I'm hoping to have more time to polish everything further.
This month's update is intentionally brief—I don't want to spoil anything yet! However, here are some exciting new screenshots for you to enjoy:
There are more to share but I want to let that for you to explore later. Thank you all for your continued support, and see you next time!

Peaceful Days Progression (Feb 2025 Report)
Hi everyone,
Happy New Year 2025! It's time for the February report.
First, I’m sorry to share some difficult news, but I want to be honest with you. I was recently diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease at the age of 26. That explains why I’ve been dealing with so many headaches and other health issues. But don’t worry—I’m doing fine now, and I’m staying focused. Finishing this game is still my top priority, no matter what.
Enough with the sad story—let’s dive into the game progress!
This month, I’ve been recovering and managed to find some time to work on a few things.
Winter season assets have been implemented. I love the cozy winter vibes so much that I spent quite a bit of time just wandering around. Also, you can still plant crops in winter!
The biggest update this month is the completion of indoor maps! My artist and I worked hard to enhance the visuals and improve clarity. I hope you’ll enjoy exploring them.
Town Hall The Eastern Heart Post Office Sapling Shop Blacksmith Shop Power Plant
There’s still a lot more to show, but I want you to experience it yourself when the game is released!
This month’s report is shorter than usual because I’m juggling multiple jobs to cover my medical bills. I appreciate your understanding and support.
Thank you for reading, and see you next time!

Peaceful Days Progression (December 2024 Report)
Hi everyone,
It’s time for the December progression report!
I’ve accomplished quite a lot this month. Before diving in, I want to share some sad news. As I’m writing this, I’m in the hospital. Thankfully, I managed to upload everything I needed for this devlog beforehand. I didn’t think I’d be able to post anything this month, but I was so excited to share my progress with you. Unfortunately, I had to visit the emergency room due to unexpected high blood pressure. Luckily, I didn’t suffer a stroke, and the doctors have everything under control. I’m still being monitored while they evaluate my condition.
No more sad news—let’s move on to this month’s devlog!
Ranching Update
Animals have always been my favorite part of working on farming sim games. This month, I’ve implemented all the animals into the game, including exotic ones like herons and storks.
Storks and herons can both catch fish if you let them outside the day before, which is super convenient! Some of you may already have your own stork in the current build.
I’ve added a flute that boosts your animals’ affection toward you!
The bee system has been upgraded. In the current build, you can only build hives in predefined slots. Now, you can place them anywhere, even in the greenhouse.
I’ve also upgraded the fish pond. You can now use it to increase the quality of your fish. Fish can produce eggs, which can be sold for more profit. Plus, you can raise clams to harvest pearls!
Farm Buildings
I’ve implemented nearly every buildable structure for the farm. The greenhouse is one of the highlights. I’ll let you discover the rest on your own later!
Each greenhouse comes with a built-in sprinkler system, which is extremely useful as it doesn’t take up valuable space like regular sprinklers.
Others
These features deserve their own categories, but I’m short on time, so I’ll leave them here.
I’ve improved the wallpaper and flooring system! You can now customize each room with your favorite combinations. There are 20+ unique options for both, and I plan to add more during the polishing phase.
Introducing the Sticky Label, an item you can buy from the local grocery store to mark your chests. This will be helpful when you have multiple chests, so you don’t have to rely on memory. I might extend this feature in the future to mark other objects—suggestions are welcome!
I’ve overhauled the How to Play section. It’s now easier to use and navigate!
I also added a new secret location.
That’s pretty much everything worth sharing this month. There’s definitely more, but I don’t want this post to get too lengthy. I’m enjoying every moment of my game development journey, though I’m unsure when I’ll be able to return to it. I’ll keep you updated about my health on my X account.
Thank you for your continued support—it’s been a great source of strength for me. I’m going to take some rest now, and I wish you all a wonderful New Year!
Thank you for reading, and see you next time!

Peaceful Days Progression (November 2024 Report)
Hi everyone,
It's time for the November progression report!
I must say, this has been the most successful month I've had in a while. Let's go over what I accomplished this month.
Mining
First of all, I’ve finished the mining system and overhauled the puzzles. This took a lot of time, but I’m glad to have done it. I hope it will be much better compared to the current system. I also added many cool items to enhance your mining journey. Take a look at this Ore Detector!
Skill System
There’s now a skill system I’ve always wanted to add in the old build but never got the chance to. With better planning, I’ve introduced a system where you can unlock interesting perks.
Quest System
People seem to love completing quests, so I revamped the system to make it look much better. The core system remains the same, but the new design allows me to add more types of quests in the future.
Shop System
The shop system also received an update, mainly focusing on UI/UX improvements. (Please don’t ask why I talked to the nightstand to buy stuff...)
Lastly, there are a few minor tweaks here and there, but I’ll let you discover those on your own.
Thanks for reading, and see you next month!

Peaceful Days Progression (October 2024 Report)
Hi everyone,
It's time again for the October progression report.
I mostly worked on technical stuff (reducing loading times between maps, etc.), writing, and had to go to the hospital for checkups again and again... So, not much to show here, but I do have something to share.
First, I’ve worked with my artist to redo all the NPC portraits. This remake will also introduce new NPCs and a better story to tell about them (I think...). You can see a few of them here:
Also, I’ve finished writing all the heart event cutscenes. This is huge, and I can’t wait to implement them, but there are other priorities, so I can't start on it just yet.
Oh, I almost forgot! I’ve added a small feature that shows which items you can find in the mines. I love these QoL features, so let me know if you have any suggestions.
I want to share more, but I have to prepare for an upcoming hurricane hitting us this weekend.
Let me know if you have any feedback! Thank you for reading, and I can't wait to see you again next month.
Happy Halloween!
Peaceful Days Progression (September 2024 Report)
Hi everyone,
It's time again for the September progression report. Sadly this month I don't have much to share because I had to go to hospital for a surgery. Everything is fine now and I'm back working on the game.
Firstly, I had implemented the fishing system for Peaceful Days. I have recieved a lot of not so good feedbacks about fishing minigame and decided to make it simpler in this remake. You can just time your button press correct until you get the fish. Let take closer look at that.
Secondly, I'm on my way to finish the basic of mining system. And yes, puzzles are still in the mines. I will still also provide a way for you to skip the puzzles just in case you just want to enjoy the game without much thinking. I will redesign all the puzzles and make sure that they are less confused and I do hope that they will be much more interesting. I do have a video to show for mining.
Last but not least, I have worked with my artist (@FicoPx) for NPC sprites. I will start to work on NPC related stuff next month.
Let me know if you have any feedback! Thank you for reading and can't wait to see you again next month!
Peaceful Days Progression (August 2024 Report)
Hi everyone,
It's time again for the August progression report. I've so much fun implementing interesting systems this month. Let's take closer look at new updates.
First, I've reworked the crafting system. I looked at feedbacks and see that people doesn't like the idea that we have to build a workshop and only use machines there to craft items. With new update, you will be provided a Workbench at start of the game and it allows you to craft basic items and unlock more later.
Secondly, I've spent a lot of time this month to work on animal system. It was so much fun walking around, petting them, giving them treats are enough for me to enjoy after hours of programming. I updated most of animal sprites and add more animals. Also, animal can have a chance to be shiny. (Chicken & Cow below) Here is a screenshot in case you want to see how they look ingame.
I've also worked on various system but it's mostly technical stuff like this accessory equippment system. You can unlock these items while exploring the game.
Last but not least, here is also a gameplay video for this update.
Let me know if you have any feedback! Thank you for reading and see you again next month!
Peaceful Days Progression (July 2024 Report)
Hi everyone,
It's time again for the July progression report. I've made tons of progress this month, and I'm happy to show you what I've achieved. It's crazy to see how much has been done in just one month.
First of all, I've revamped the decorating system to enable precise placement. Secondly, I added weather effects. Here is a video to show how a thunderstorm looks in the game. WARNING: Flashing. lso, I've implemented a message system that allows NPCs to express their emotions better. Last but not least, I've reworked Aurora Town. It's now much easier to navigate and looks much better visually. Let's take a look at some changes and compare!
Here is a comparison between the old and new buildings. Here are some screenshots to show how they look in-game.
And that's all for this month. I also added a lot of minor improvements, but it's easier to let you explore them in the future. Thank you again for reading. Have a great day, and see you again next month!
Peaceful Days Progression (June 2024 Report)
Hi everyone,
I've been working diligently on the game every day and I'm excited to share the progress I've made this June.
This month, I focused heavily on enhancing the farming and foraging systems. I’ve redrawn almost all the sprites for crops, trees, and forageables, and added some exciting new features like shiny variants of crops and forageables. Here’s a screenshot from the current build:
Additionally, I’ve created a video to showcase the updated foraging system. Check it out here:
I’ve carefully considered all the feedback you’ve provided over the years to make these improvements, and I believe it will be worth the wait. Thank you for your continued support and patience.
If you’d like to stay updated on the development process, please follow my X account: @PeacefulDaysRPG I post weekly updates there.
Have a great day, Nhat Nguyen
Peaceful Days Progression (May 2024 Report)
Hi,
I just want to announce that I'm still working hard on the game. My game dev lifestyle has been so bad that I had to spend a few weeks in the hospital. But I came back stronger and healthier than ever before.
I have officially switched to using Godot as the main engine. I'm also learning while remaking the game, so it will take longer, but I think it will be much better in the long run. I have implemented a lot of core features and revamped the main story. All we need now is a playable demo, which I'm focusing on.
Here is a screenshot of the latest build:
I will let you know more next time. Thank you for your patience!
